ThatBrian, the great mindreader psychic is at it again!

Where does one find these stats? Is there some Lordship Salvation site that collects ACFC% (altar call false conversion percent)?

The bolded part is the failure of brian's argument. Since he declares "assuming nothing changes," he admits he isn't sure whether Hawking is currently in heaven or hell.

I am aware of Dr. Hawkings explanations, voiced in 2007, regarding his statement of the "mind of God" and other such things. But he was still moving in the right direction and neither you nor anyone else knows what his eternal destination is. To think you do is pure hubris.

Actually I follow scripture. If you deny me I will deny you. As far as huburis goes well....you need to go look in the mirror.

Not sure that "uncalled for" is accurate. "A waste of time" is probably more so. Trying to explain simple truth to you is a waste of time.

You just make false accusation after false accusation, don't you. And that tells me you are wrong and KNOW you are wrong but lack the character to admit it.

So, anybody who has ever denied the existence of God, no matter what happened in later life, is automatically in hell?

So, you are saying that Billy Graham, by his own testimony, denied God as a young man prior to being converted in 1934.

Most people deny God for some period in their life until they accept salvation. There is no time limit for that to happen barring death itself.

"He said during an interview with El Mundo in 2014: “Before we understand science, it is natural to believe that God created the universe. But now science offers a more convincing explanation. What I meant by ‘we would know the mind of God’ is, we would know everything that God would know, if there were a God, which there isn’t. I’m an atheist.”"

‘I’m not afraid:’ What Stephen Hawking said about God, his atheism and his own death

Yes, we know. 4 years ago. But 3 years ago, after the death of his brother, he spent much time contemplating death, God, and creation. He said, at that time, that he considered Intelligent Design a fact.

So, what did he think yesterday morning? What did he say Tuesday?

Do you completely discount the possibility that the Holy Spirit convicted him of his sin and drew him to the Son? Is that too hard for God?

If you would take just a minute, lay aside your animosity for me which causes you to disagree with everything I post, and think about it. Do you know for sure he did not repent and believe, and how do you know that?

I never stated otherwise. People jump to conclusions and get themselves all worked up when they fail to read carefully.

However, I'm not going to assume some deathbed conversion that I don't know about. I've make statements based on public statements from the horses mouth. He was an atheist. That's what we all DO know.

So everybody who denies God does NOT go to hell if they later repent?

Thanks for coming over to the right side. The side of honesty. :D

So his acceptance of Intelligent Design was something he always believed?

All men believe in Intelligent Design, unless Romans 1 is in my Bible by mistake.

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

And it's what you don't know that should give you pause.

But don't let that stop you from making declarations about individuals, rather than making scriptural declarations.

First, I give the man the dignity to take him at his word. How about you?

Hawking rejected Christ in the clearest of ways, in writing, countless times, over the course of his life. That's what we know with certainty.

Second, I give God my utmost reverence and take Him at His word. How about you?

God's Word, His "scriptural declarations" are clear on the fate of all who reject Christ. I should hope that on a Christian forum I would not have to state such an obvious thing.

    ad hominem much?

As has been asked of you before -- what about the last few months, or moments?

Doesn't salvation cover all that came before?

If YOU don't know about it, does that mean it didn't happen? Or is Hawking's salvation based, in your eyes, on his lifetime of works? Isn't that a pharisaical and non-christian viewpoint?

ad hominem much? It's a lazy argument--meaning, an argument without merit--when you use such statements.

What a silly statement. Of course you don't. It seems we have to remind you of scripture that talks about the thief on the cross; the landowner that paid all the workers the same wages, no matter what time of day he hired them; and Exodus 33:18 - I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy to whom I will show mercy.

IF Hawking died without having faith in Christ, he is condemned. IF he died with faith, at whatever point in his life, then he is with Christ, who is rejoicing for the one sheep that had wandered off, and we should simply be saying: "we'll know for sure when we get there."

I've said nothing to contradict that. In fact, it was my point.

What I also didn't do is speculate on some deathbed conversion. I stuck to the facts from his own words. I can and will react to what is public knowledge of the man, because he made the information public. I will not speak of deathbed conversions unless there is evidence of such.

Now, who is talking about what he knows and who is talking about what he imagines?

If God choose Him to be among the redeemed of the Lord, by the grace of God he made it, if he was still lost, shows to us the smartest Man on earth can still be a Fool!
