    This comes about as a result of a discussion with Steven Yeadon on the subject of spiritual gifts

    So specifically we are looking at the connection between the "exactly one" Blue Zone in the United States and how it is connected to messages given to Ellen White.

    =================================================================

    We had a discussion on another one of your threads on this same topic where you mentioned that you no longer think you had the gift of tongues or interpretation of them - as God has showed you that it was not the real Bible gift but a modern counterfeit.

    That left you with among other things - the gift of prophecy .. and so I pointed you to Numbers 12:6-12 the case of Moses vs the prophets ... and the prophets were his brother and sister in that case -- Aaron and Miriam.

    I also mentioned that SDAs have association with a prophet having about 100,000 pages of inspired manuscript to give you some idea of how much more informed SDAs tend to be with the topic of modern prophets -- than a lot of people.

    You said this --

    I find that a bit surprising for two reasons.

    1. Normally I only expect SDAs themselves to accept Ellen White as a prophet and I did not make much of a case for it with you - it was just a passing reference.

    2. But I am surprised that you would pick the vegetarian issue as the thing that makes you think she could not possibly be a prophet - given that the diet mankind was given in Genesis 1 is not only vegetarian - but vegan.

    The other thing that makes it "surprising" is the modern understanding of "blue zones". the entire world has only 5 "Blue Zones" and America has exactly one of them.. and that "one" is the Adventist health center in Loma Linda California - where the lifestyle and diet promoted their is 100% from what God told Ellen White about diet and health.

    A blue zone is defined as a place where people live to be 100 and stay healthy overall. This is not an SDA concept. It is purely national geographic.

    5 “Blue Zones” Where the World’s Healthiest People Live

    Blue Zones - Places In the World Where People Live to 100 and Stay Healthy

    you claim this is the main "sign" to you that God gave Ellen White no messages.

    I have to wonder about your "gifts" if they are telling you that this is the main sign that she had no messages from God. Or is this your personal view?

    The key text:

    Psalms 77:13 KJB - Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?
    For every single doctrine, and way of God, is found to be taught, in the Sanctuary itself.

    Diet:

    Beginning as the old man of sin, outside of the sanctuary, lost in the world and before light came, our body temples were polluted, filled with all uncleanness and defiled, and our diet consisted of whatever was not good for food and not good for drink [just as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, was not good for food, even though it looked good for food].

    Salvation/Redemption, includes redemption in diet. The diet reform is to be progressive, onward and upward, going from all uncleaness in lostness back to the Edenic perfection, in redemption.

    Christ Jesus having drawn us to His Home, in a country/wilderness setting, having left the Light on, in the "House of the Lord", the Sanctuary, He invites us within the "gate" to the court-YARD, by having provided a better sacrifice, the smoke ascending. Having accepted this invitation, we can no longer treat our body temples as we please, putting into it that which we put in before, ignorant of God's provisions of righteousness of diet of food and drink [will also include audio, visual, smell, taste, sensual, etc]. All are invited to come, seeing that the sacrifice has been slaughtered, but not just anyone is allowed into the "YARD", for only those who have begun to have a relationship with the owner of the House, through the sacrifice provided, through the blood and through repentance and through faith. You may let a RELATIVE into the YARD, but do you just let any old STRANGER into your YARD?

    This COURT-yard, signifes at least three things, and the word "court" tells us this.

    [1] COURT - a place of judgment, judges, law, of delineation between right and wrong
    [2] COURT - a place for kings and regality, of noblility and high responsibility
    [3] COURT - a time of wooing, to court a lover, to be taken into deep fellowship to prepare for the marriage
    At the Altar of burnt offering/sacrifice, only the Clean [animal] flesh was allowed [Leviticus 11 & Deuteronomy 14 KJB]. No blood is to be eaten and no blood to remain in the flesh [killed, blood spilled out, flayed, sodden [soaked in brine] and burnt [cooked well], it was to be poured out completely, nothing strangled, nothing sick or diseased, nothing died of itself, maimed or wounded. All of the fat was to be burned. Our diets go from what our god, our bellies, desired, to now what the True God desires - health of body, soul and spirit. This eliminates all such meats sold today, for they all have blood, bone, fat, disease, etc still in them. To eat these things, is to make oneself sick and diseased. God originally gave flesh, to shorten the lifespan of sinful man [Genesis 9:5 KJB], and only in the emergency situation, as a temporary measure, for Noah was to grow trees, fruit, have a vineyard. in the courtyard, Christ Jesus ate fish and lamb [on special occasions, not three times a day, for even the sacrifices were only 2 times a day, roughly 9am and 3 pm].

    At the Laver, we see that we are to have the fresh pure water, cleansing the insides and outsides of the body temples, washing daily, keeping clean from all filith of the world as much as is possible in the things of physicality and spirituality. Waters also represent faith [John 6:35], and desire or hunger for righteousness and to do the will of God [John 4:34 KJB] - Jesus said "I thirst" - He was saying to humanity, "Give me faith!", Jesus in His hunger, "Give me obedience!". Notice, that the Laver is spaced away from the sacrifice, which means to separate the drinking from that which is eaten. Wait at least 1 hr to 2hrs to drink, and your body will thank you for it. It was designed this way by God. If a person cannot go so long, try 30 minutes to 45, slowly increase the time. Drinking with the meal causes longer digestion and fermentation to happen in the gut.

    In the Court-yard there is plenty of room for walking to and fro, exercise of the legs and of the exercise of faith. There is room for all. Sunshine, fresh air, privacy from outsiders.

    Moving toward the HOUSE itself, within the YARD, we come to the "DOOR". Do we know Jesus more than at the beginning, do we trust Him? KNOCK and it shall be opened. At the DOOR is 5 pillars, representing the 5 avenues into the inmost person - sight, sound, touch, taste and smell. Guard well these avenues to the soul, lest Satan sneak past and find an easy way in. It matters what comes into these. Pray that there is Jesus, who is greater in you, than he that is in the world [satan]. Jesus stays in a clean house.

    Moving into the first room of the HOUSE, we come to the Holy Christian LIVING room. This is how the Christian is to live. Not just anyone in the YARD can come into the "Holy LIVING" room, you have to know the owner more personally. You may let a mailcarrier into the YARD, but do you let them automcatically into your house? What have we then in this room? We are progessing away from the diets of the world, and the pots of Egypt and tables of Babylon and the delicacies and drinks of wicked kings, unto that which is at the LORD's Table, for righteous kings. No fermentation, no alcohol. The diet is now moving closer to Eden, that Paradise of God. One step at a time.

    To the North [right side], we have the golden TABLE of the LORD, upon which was Fresh Baked, unleavened Bread, and fresh Juice of the Grape, nothing Unleavend or fermented. Notice, we have left the courtyard, being drawn more closely to walk with Jesus, and we have given up the flesh, and moved to the grains [cooked], fruits, nuts, oils, and herbs. Mmmm, fresh home-made baked bread, whole grains, not drained of all nutrients and 'fortified' later, dead bread, will cause deadness of energy, seeds are powerful packed energy, and even those just sprouted ... yes, eat largely of the Word of God, daily ...

    The Lampstand to the South [Left side] is filled with properly pressed oil [Olive], and gives Light.

    The Altar of Incense, is in the center of the LIVING Room, the family altar of Prayer, and special mixtures of herbs were used for the incense.

    Now, having come to know the LORD even more, He begins to take us with Himself to the final room, the MASTER room, the Most Holy Place, where it is one on one [individual and sacred time], wherein is the Ark of God, in precious mercies, we move into a closer diet to that of Eden, Raw [Manna, raw foods], Almonds [Raw whole Nuts], the Fruit of the Rod [Raw Fruits], Leaf/Bud [Raw vegetation], and absolute Trust in what God daily provides, Eden is restored, the marriage complete, finally at-one-ment, forever joined to the side of the LORD, your mind and heart clear to see the beauty of God in His perfect commandments, His beautiful character, His eternal promises to love you always ... in this place, one is perfectly and willingly naked before God, nothing to hide, unashamed at knowing Him and speaking with Him, unashamed at His House Rules for that temple and the Temple of your body and mind, for we now go fully into THE WAY, for therein behind the veil, the curtain of God's love, is absolute privacy with the Creator, peaceful, no interruptions, and within the 10 Commandments, that Commandment of Purpose and Relationship, the Sabbath, the 7th Day, the Day of the LORD's rest, cease from your works, for your body was made on a rhythm, a cyclical clock, 6 days of work, the 7th of rest, therefore, rest in it with Him, for He awaits for you every 7th Day there, in the Holy and Sacred Temple of Time ...

    1 Corinthians 10:31 KJB - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
    The sanctuary even teaches about our dress as Christians, but many are not ready for this ...

    Satan has a counterfeit to all this, in his prison system [think of the prison, does it have a YARD] [think of secular school, does it have YARD], [think of the medical, the workplace, the city life etc, they have YARDS] ... and that just the beginning ...

    Col 2 is not about deleting scripture - it is about rejecting "traditions of man".

    Reading the text is helpful at that point.

    Col 2 is opposed to making up a rule and judging others of being guilty of sin because they differ with you, even if that invented rule is related to a Bible command.

    But Col 2 is not an attempt by Paul to delete the scriptures. Rather Paul condemns the idea of making stuff up that is not in scripture at all - where the only source/authority is "man".

    Col 2:18 Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,
    19 and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.

    Col 2
    20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
    21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
    22 Which all are to perish with the using after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. (KJV)

    Col 2
    20 If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as,
    21 “Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!” 22 (which all refer to things destined to perish with use)—in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men?
    23 These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence.(NASB)

    4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; 5 for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

    What exactly is "sanctified by the Word of God" when you read "the Word of God"? The eating of mice and rats?

    God's Word says -- "no"

    Isaiah 66

    15 For behold, the Lord will come in fire
    And His chariots like the whirlwind,
    To render His anger with fury,
    And His rebuke with flames of fire.
    16 For the Lord will execute judgment by fire
    And by His sword on all flesh
    ,
    And those slain by the Lord will be many.
    17 “Those who sanctify and purify themselves to go to the gardens,
    Following one in the center,
    Who eat swine’s flesh, detestable things and mice,
    Will come to an end altogether,” declares the Lord.

    And Romans 14 flat out defends the vegetarian option even in the most extreme case... so rather than condemned - it is most certainly allowed.

    The texts:

    Colossians 2:16 KJB - Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

    Colossians 2:17 KJB - Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

    Colossians 2:14-17 KJB, was demonstrated to be speaking about specific things here, not the laws of diet:

    "...It sure is. it speaks in context of "shadow" "sabbath days" [plural]. Those would be the various festal sabbaths associated with the New Moons, and its times, as found in Leviticus 23:4 and onward, Leviticus 25, etc.

    The Ten Commandments, including Exodus 20:8-11 KJB, and the 7th day the sabbath of the LORD thy God, is never a shadow, but is always "light", as per Proverbs 6:23; Isaiah 8:20, 51:4; 1 John 2:8, etc KJB.

    Compare Colossians 2:14-16 KJB, in its "ordinances", to Ephesians 2:14-16, as well as Hebrews 9:1-10, 10:1,11, etc. Notice, "carnal" "ordinances", not "spiritual" as the Ten Commandments are [Romans 7:14 KJB], and notice the words "things to come" [Colossians 2:17 KJB], and "ages to come" [Ephesians 2:7 KJB], and "of good things to come" [Hebrews 10:1 KJB]. Well the Ten Commandments are already and always "good" [Romans 7:12 KJB], and never have to wait for it to have been so. The 7th Day the Sabbath is also a memorial - pointing to that which is completed in the past.

    You do not realize that Paul is citing Psalms 98:1-3; Ezekiel 45:17, etc.

    If you compare Colossians 2:16 to Ezekiel 45:17 KJB, you will notice an order of progression, an increase:

    [1] meat and drink [refer to the daily [meat [KJB, meaning food [animal or non], see Genesis 1:29,30; Leviticus 2, etc] and drink] offerings]

    [2] an holy day [refers to the seasonal feast days]

    [3] new moons [refers to the cyclical month days]

    [4] of sabbath days [refers to the yearly, 7th year and 50th years days]
    Did you see the order of increase? Those "sabbath days" have nothing to do with the weekly cycle at all. Nothing to do with "light". Nothing to do with "spiritual". They are festal, Moon related, shadows and carnal ordinances under a worldly sanctuary.

    God's Ten Commandments, including the fourth, is eternally written in Heaven: Exodus 25:9,40; Numbers 8:4; 1 Chronicles 28:12,19; Hebrews 8:5; Psalms 119:89 KJB, see also Psalms 50:6, 97:6; Psalms 119:172; Hebrews 8:2, 9:11; Revelation 11:19, 15:5 KJB. ..." - Walter Martin's "Kingdom of the Cults" declares Adventist are not a Cult and destroys Hoekema's book
    The next texts:

    1 Timothy 4:1 KJB - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    1 Timothy 4:2 KJB - Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

    1 Timothy 4:3 KJB - Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

    1 Timothy 4:4 KJB - For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

    1 Timothy 4:5 KJB - For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
    This speaks of those who have departed from the faith, which jas a parallel in:

    2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJB - Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

    2 Thessalonians 2:4 KJB - Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

    which speaks to the system of Roman Catholicism, it is practices of 'celibacy' amonst its [sacerdotal] 'priest'-class, and in other practices like 'Lent', stigmatics which 'live' on the 'host' alone, etc.

    Please notice that the text speaks of those things "created to be received with thanksgiving", which we find in Genesis:

    Genesis 1:11 KJB - And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

    Genesis 1:12 KJB - And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

    Genesis 1:29 KJB - And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

    Genesis 1:30 KJB - And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
    No animal flesh was given to be eaten at Creation. It was after the global flood, to shorten the lifespan of the long-lived sinful man, and as emergency temporary measure:

    Genesis 9:5 KJB - And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

    Once the sacrifice of Christ Jesus came, there is no reason for any other animal to die to satisfy the stomach (for the sacrifice and oblation has ceased Daniel 9:27 KJB), and even once ascended from the Mt. of Olives, He no longer eats flesh, even as there is no death in Heaven. ...

    Also that which was slaughtered then according to scriptrual sacrificial law, in the days of the courtyard, was far superior in health than the increasingly diseased animal stock today, as foretold, for as sin increased, disease in the beasts would too as a result:

    Hosea 4:1 KJB - Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

    Hosea 4:2 KJB - By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

    Hosea 4:3 KJB - Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

    2 Timothy 3:13 KJB - But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

    Romans 8:22 KJB - For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

    There is a whole lot more in the scripture [KJB] on that.

    In the council of Jerusalem in Acts 15 [Acts 15:20,29, 21:25 KJB], they cited the holy [thus "sanctified by the word of God"; 2 Peter 1:15,16, 3:11, citing Leviticus 11:44; Deuteronomy 14:2,21 KJB] dietary law is directly cited from Leviticus 7:26, 17:12-14, 19:26; Deuteronomy 12:16,23, 15:23 KJB.

    Go with me to 1 Corinthians 10 KJB:

    1 Corinthians 10:1 KJB - Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

    1 Corinthians 10:2 KJB - And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

    1 Corinthians 10:3 KJB - And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

    1 Corinthians 10:4 KJB - And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

    1 Corinthians 10:5 KJB - But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

    1 Corinthians 10:6 KJB - Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

    1 Corinthians 10:11 KJB - Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

    1 Corinthians 10:12 KJB - Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

    Because of what Eve and Adam believed about diet, in what they 'thought was good for food' when it wasn't, they fell.

    Those in the wilderness experience with Moses, and what they did, are "examples" and "ensamples" "upon whom the end of the world has come". Let's see what they did that is our example, read carefully, for it will deal with the wrath of God, and the 7 last plagues which are coming soon, and all who do not now take heed, will perish, terribly [I have faithfully warned you, turn now please] ...:

    Psalms 78:8 KJB - And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.

    Psalms 78:15 KJB - He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.

    Psalms 78:16 KJB - He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.

    Psalms 78:17 KJB - And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.

    Psalms 78:18 KJB - And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.

    Psalms 78:19 KJB - Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

    Psalms 78:20 KJB - Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?

    Psalms 78:21 KJB - Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;

    Psalms 78:22 KJB - Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:

    Psalms 78:23 KJB - Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,

    Psalms 78:24 KJB - And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.

    Psalms 78:25 KJB - Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.

    Psalms 78:26 KJB - He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind.

    Psalms 78:27 KJB - He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea:

    Psalms 78:28 KJB - And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.

    Psalms 78:29 KJB - So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire;

    Psalms 78:30 KJB - They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths,

    Psalms 78:31 KJB - The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.

    Psalms 78:32 KJB - For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.

    Numbers 11:18 KJB - And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.

    Numbers 11:19 KJB - Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;

    Numbers 11:20 KJB - But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?

    Numbers 11:21 KJB - And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.

    Numbers 11:31 KJB - And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.

    Numbers 11:32 KJB - And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.

    Numbers 11:33 KJB - And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.

    Numbers 11:34 KJB - And he called the name of that place Kibrothhattaavah: because there they buried the people that lusted.
    Bird flu [plague]. It came out of their noses [flu]. Whosoever now knows, and still lusts that they might be intimately united [not estranged] to their desire [they married/knew their desire], rather than God, will receive their desire, they shall grow sick, they shall receive the final plagues, and shall perish, because they desired not the pure food of Heaven [where no death exists] ...

    No KFC [Killin' Folks continually]
    No Golden Arches of Babylon
    No Popeyes [food that will make you say 'Pope - Yes']
    No havin' it your way

    Do you understand the seriousness? If you do not repent brother, and prayerfully seek God and study the word, you will perish in that which is coming, even as the drops of the wrath of God are already falling, H1N1, Bird Flu, Sars, etc ... the flesh of the beasts is diseased, filled with all cancers, etc. If you eat, your body will assimiliate those things into your own, and worse you will spread it to those you love.

    Even 'Seventh-day Adventists' who do not repent on this, when they know better, will also perish ... I have wept after having understood these things, for many fill their god, their bellies, which will perish [1 Corinthians 6:13; Philippians 3:19 KJB].

    To be first "sanctified by the word of God" means that it has to be OK'd by God in scripture [KJB]. The diet laws of man have not changed, even from Genesis, and for details see also Leviticus 11, and Deuteronomy 14, etc KJB and they "prayed" over, not before. God does not hear presumptuous prayer [Proverbs 28:9 KJB].

    Here is Jesus' plan:

    3 John 1:2 KJB - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

    1 Corinthians 10:31 KJB - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

    His glory is His character, and His Ten Commandments, are a written transcrip of that perfect character; see Exodus 33:12-23, 34:1-9; Exodus 20:5-6 KJB..
    1 Corinthians 6:19 KJB - What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

    1 Corinthians 6:20 KJB - For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

    Romans 12:1 KJB - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

    God says:

    Psalms 50:13 KJB - Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
    Jesus came to heal the sick, and not merely of the heart/mind/ but of the body. Consider Jesus' ministry of healing, combined with the evangelizing. Consider the man filled with devils, 'naked' and enslaved of mind/heart. Jesus not only purified the heart, but clothed the man [and thus was considerate of his physical need/body].

    Jesus cares about our bodies and minds, out whole being/soul, consider reading, The Ministry of Healing - https://egwwritings-a.akamaihd.net/pdf/en_MH.pdf

    Consider that the plan of redemption in its wholeness.

    Interesting. I've read the blue zone links - I spent 3 weeks in Sardinia for the marriage of my oldest son. Apart from the US/Adventist blue zone, the zones are islands - isolated communities - which suggests that genetics may contribute to longevity.

    My personal interest in good health in advancing age is that I have always eaten what I have considered a healthy diet rich in whole grains & low in fatty foods, & maintained an active lifestyle. About the age of 50 I felt I was aging, & took up tennis which I had played as a teenager. Then, in 2,000, at 61, I developed leg sensations that the doctor diagnosed as diabetic neuropathy.

    I was recommended a diet high in complex carbs & low in fat, red meat, sugar & salt, & to maintain an active life. I was told diabetes was progressive, & however well I complied with their recommendations, the disease would progress & various complications would develop, with the need for increasing medication.

    They were right & by 2,008 blood & other tests indicated a reduction in kidney function & the beginning of retinopathy. The neuropathy became crippling, & physical activity became impossible. Leg muscle pain made even getting out of bed a struggle. I needed a stick to aid walking. My active life was over. Dr suggested hospital referral & investigation.

    So I went on an diabetes patient forum - diabetes.co.uk/forum where diabetics shared experiences - real people rather than medical professionals. The recommendation was to reverse the standard dietary advice.

    Cut the carbs. I stopped eating all the "healthy" grain cereals & starches. In THREE months I was completely out of pain & back on the tennis courts. That was 10 years ago. Today, at 79, I am fit & well, I play a good game of tennis at club standard, & I am free from diabetes complications. I get my energy from a high/healthy fat diet. I cook in animal fats, I eat lots of nuts - mainly as powder, including a nut "porridge" fortified with 50 g of double cream. About 70% of my 2,000 Kcals is from fat, over 20% from protein & less than 10% from carbohydrate. I do NOT eat bought processed food.

    There is an increasing school of thought derived from experience that totally rejects the pseudo vegetarian non-foods like the SDA Kelloggs cereals which are heavily processed grains.

    Biblical arguments regarding food offer only inferences.

    The Garden of Eden diet would be vegan, with fruits, nuts, seeds, leaves, roots. They were immortal until they sinned, so they would be healthy regardless of what they ate, & there could be no adverse effects.

    After the fall, Adam & Eve & their progeny were essentially disease free, with no genetic degradation until several generations. So they were long-lived. Animals were killed for sacrifice, but not eaten as food till after the flood. When they are told to eat meat after the flood in Genesis 9, the reason is not given. Simply:
    3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.

    The food laws are not primarily health related but for typical spiritual purity.

    The quote by One Baptism does not support a vegetarian diet in the present Gospel age:
    One could equally argue that God authorised the eating of flesh to provide the nutrition needed for a physically & genetically degraded population, to promote fertility & physical health.

    The Acts 15 instructions for Gentile converts were to avoid giving diet offence to Jews, & the Romans 14 advice was to avoid giving offence to those whose scruples forbade eating meat. But we are free to eat everything apart from blood & no guilt is attached to eating what was forbidden food. Jesus made that clear - Mark 7:14-23

    There's no argument about vegetables, fish & nuts being good foods;
    fruit comprise 10% fructose (sugar) that does have harmful health properties & should be limited;
    nuts comprise 50% fat & are an excellent source of proteins & energy;
    evidence against meat & animal fat is very dubious, being based on politics rather than nutrition.
    Obvious moderation or abstension from smoking & alcohol & empty calories of sugars can only be beneficial, as is regular moderate exercise.

    The big question mark - black mark - is over the processed cereals pioneered by Kelloggs. Quick & easy vegetarian or harmful non-foods providing empty calories?

    Fat, is the general culprit which brings on diabetes, not sugar, for as the fat packs the cells, there is no more room for other events to transpire. Sugar [the wrong kind/amount] is a secondary and generally minor contributor.

    Dr. Tim Resenberger, Diabetes:

    I beg you to read more - Healing, Health, Diet & More

    Animal fat, mankind was not allowed to eat.

    It is written:

    Deuteronomy 14:3 KJB - Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

    That includes all unclean animals and their fat. What is an "abomination" to God is always so:

    Certain Animals, called Unclean and Abomination, Leviticus 11, Deuteronomy 14; Ezekiel 8:10

    Homosexuality, Leviticus 18:22, 20:13, 1 Kings 14:24;

    Beastiality, Leviticus 18:23,

    Idols and False gods, Deuteronomy 7:25-26, 20:18, 27:15, 29:17; 1 Kings 11:5,7; Jeremiah 13:27; Malachi 2:11;

    Sacrifice other than Prescribed by God, Deuteronomy 17:21, Proverbs 21:27;

    Passing through Fire, Leviticus 18:21; Deuteronomy 18:10, 2 Kings 16:3, 2 Chronicles 28:3;

    Observers of Times and Diviners, Charmers, Consulter of Familiar Spirits, Enchanter, Wizard, Witch, Necromancer, Deuteronomy 18:10,11,14; 2 Kings 23:24;

    Crossdressing, Deuteronomy 22:5;

    The hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow, Deuteronomy 23:18;

    Unrighteousness, Deuteronomy 25:16;

    Proud Look, Lying Tongue, Hands that Shed Innocent Blood, Heart Devising Wicked Imaginations, Feet Running Swiftly to Mischief, A False Witness Speaking Lies and One Sowing Dischord Among Brethren, Proverbs 6:16-19, 12:12, 16:5;

    A False Balance, Proverbs 11:1, 20:23;

    Way of Wickedness, Proverbs 15:8-9,26;

    Proud in Heart, Proverbs 16:5;

    He who Justifies Wickedness and Condemns the Just, Proverbs 17:15;

    Prayers of those who turn away from the law of God, Ezra 9:14; Proverbs 28:9;

    Oppressing the Poor and Needy, Ezekiel 18:12;

    Sexual relations with immediate Family, Mother, Daughter, etc or Neighbors Wife, etc, Leviticus 18:6-20; Ezekiel 22:11;

    That which is Highly Esteemed among Men, but not before God, [ie. traditions counter to God's explicit commandments] Luke 16:15;

    Babylon, Revelation 17:5.

    Which of these has also been allowed in the New Testament? None. You are faithfully warned.

    After the sin of mankind [Genesis 3:17 KJB], God also then gave to Adam and Eve the green herbs and plants of the field [Genesis 3:18 KJB]. Yet still no flesh was to be eaten, even when the first sacrifice took place [Genesis 3:21 KJB], the lamb slain at the foundation of the world [Revelation 13:8 KJB] which was to be repeated [Genesis 4:4 KJB] until Christ's death [Galatians 3:19, 4:2; Hebrews 9:10 KJB] when the sacrifice was to cease [Daniel 9:27; Hebrews 10:12 KJB]. The blood was to be poured out upon the ground and was never to be eaten at all [Genesis 9:4 KJB] and the fat offered to God [Genesis 4:4; Exodus 29:13 KJB] and not to be eaten [Leviticus 7:23 KJB]:

    Leviticus 7:22 KJB - And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

    Leviticus 7:23 KJB - Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.

    Leviticus 7:24 KJB - And the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is torn with beasts, may be used in any other use: but ye shall in no wise eat of it.

    Leviticus 7:25 KJB - For whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eateth it shall be cut off from his people.

    Leviticus 7:26 KJB - Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.

    Leviticus 7:27 KJB - Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

    Deuteronomy 32:37 KJB - And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,

    Deuteronomy 32:38 KJB - Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
    Those who eat the fat, and drink the blood, and eat all manner of abomination, and the diseased animals, whether of beast or fowl [or fish], themselves shall be eaten by the beasts, and by the birds, in the time to come, when the 7 last plagues, the wrath of God, unmingled with mercy, bring those disobedient ones down to death, as carcasses upon the earth, the feast of the birds:

    Matthew 24:28 KJB - For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

    Luke 17:37 KJB - And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

    Ezekiel 39:17 KJB - And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

    Ezekiel 39:18 KJB - Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

    Ezekiel 39:19 KJB - And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

    Revelation 19:17 KJB - And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

    Revelation 19:18 KJB - That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

    "Vegan" is associated with paganism, as they do not eat honey [allowed by the scripture, in temperance - KJB], and they do drink alcohol [which is forbidden by scripture, as it is a destroying agent - KJB]. The Bible teaches Health wholeness and Health reformation. Mankind's given health was to be maintained and kept.

    Adam and Eve did not have inherent immortality, neither inherent eternal health/life, only of which God has:

    1 Timothy 6:16 KJB - Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

    Adam and Eve had conditional immortality, conditional health, which was based in love, trust, faith and obedience to the will of God [Psalms 40:8 KJB, His commandments]. Thus they had to live by every word of God, the just had to live by faith, and the moment they disobeyed the good and perfect will of God, they die in dying. Adam and Eve, once separated from the Tree of Life, which they were to continually eat from, they die [Genesis 2:17, 3:22-24 KJB].

    No roots were given to Adam and Eve to eat, until after the expulsion from the garden. The main diet of Adm and Eve in the Garden was the fruit/seed of the Trees which were "good for food", as there were trees 'not' good for food.

    No, mankind was already disobeying God, long before the flood, and disease and degredation, and violence, and corruption, and amalgamations existed before the flood, as it is written:

    Genesis 6:11 KJB - The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

    Genesis 6:12 KJB - And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

    Genesis 6:13 KJB - And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

    Matthew 24:37 KJB - But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

    Matthew 24:38 KJB - For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

    Luke 17:26 KJB - And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

    Luke 17:27 KJB - They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

    They were already corrupting the ways of God, in mankind and in beast. Death was everywhere, violence was everywhere ... even as it is again today ...

    Job 22:15 KJB - Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?

    Job 22:16 KJB - Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:

    Job 22:17 KJB - Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?

    Jude 1:11 KJB - Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

    Genesis 4:16 KJB - And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

    Ignore these warnings of love, of compassion, of empathy, and scriptures at your own eternal peril.

    2 Peter 2:5 KJB - And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

    Psalms 119:172 KJB - My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

    Will a man tempt God? Just because it looks outwardly as if a person has health, if any disobey God, the results are already working in them, though they mayu not immediately see it, but God is longsuffering, that all might come to repentance. A long life, is no guarantee of deliverance! Flee from the wrath to come! Do not mock at the preachers sent to you, as they of old did to Noah. Read 2 Peter 1:6 KJB, and understnd the word "temperance", which is not 'moderation'. The two are not synonymous.

    1 Peter 4:1 KJB - Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

    1 Peter 4:2 KJB - That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
    ... to be continued ...

    ... continued ...

    Did you notice the restriction, the limitation, the loving boundary? Did you read the modifier? "even as".

    Looking at Genesis 9:3 yet again with a little context, since a few want to consider it further:

    Genesis 9:1 KJB - And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

    Genesis 9:2 KJB - And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth [upon] the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

    Genesis 9:3 KJB - Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

    Genesis 9:4 KJB - But flesh with the life thereof, [which is] the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

    Genesis 9:5 KJB - And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

    etc., etc.

    In [Genesis 9:1; as well as Genesis 8:17, "be fruitful and multiply", etc.] we have a similar event of God's instruction as it was in Genesis 1 & 2, since God was giving to Noah, basically a clean slate by means of the Global World-Wide Catastrophic Flood:

    Genesis 1:22 KJB - And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

    Genesis 1:28 KJB - And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

    Yet we must take notice that all was not yet without issue, for sin was still in the world at this point and satan still lived...

    In [vs 2] we have mankind being given dominion ["into your hand are they delivered"] by "fear" and "dread" instead of the original plan of peace and love:

    Genesis 1:26 KJB - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

    In [vs 3] we then see again a giving of that which is for good for food, as even in the beginning with clear stipulations, but to know which, we have to look carefully, even at that which already was:

    Genesis 1:29 KJB - And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

    Genesis 1:30 KJB - And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for meat: and it was so.

    ...yet when the passage says, "every green herb for meat", it means every "green herb" which was allowed by God to be eaten, and being suitable/sanctified for food... for only in the beginning, before the sin of mankind, the earth being "very good" were there as yet no "thorns" or "thistles", no "curse of the ground", no "weeds/tares", but rather everything was "very good":

    Genesis 1:31 KJB - And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

    So when God, gave to Mankind all of the seed bearing plants, etc, there were no poisonous, noxious weeds, amalgamations, cursed and thorns things, but all was "very good". It was only after the sin of mankind that God then allowed further "herb" to be eaten, again with stipulation, the "herb of the field", not the "weeds/tares", "thistles" and/or "thorns", etc. of the field or world...

    ...God's word says elsewhere that,

    Ezekiel 44:23 KJB - And they shall teach my people [the difference] between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

    Isaiah 5:20 KJB - Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

    Genesis 3:17 KJB - And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life;

    Genesis 3:18 KJB - Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

    Then, moving forward, after sin even further, we see that only certain animals were allowed to be offered in sacrifice [such as the Lamb [of God], firstling of Abels flock, etc], these were known as the Clean animals, that which God allowed to be used in the sacrifice for sin, such as with Abel. God had not at this point allowed animals to be used for food, for there was no need, for though not as abundant as it was in the Garden, still plenty of "fruit of the ground" [even as Cain brought] to be had.

    Additionally the blood of the sacrifice was to be poured upon the ground and the fat burned in the fire, never to be eaten in either case [and never once in scripture allowed to be eaten by God]. God never allowed that an Unclean, diseased, etc animal be used as a sacrifice in His services, rather it was the apostate and pagan peoples that sacrificed and offered such things, to idols, false gods, and in vain to God etc. Our body is the Temple of God.

    We can see that even before Noah got into the Ark and was sealed in, God had told him to take aboard the Ark, that of everything of the "food" [of the plants, etc] was to be taken with them that was "good for food", of all "food" that "is eaten". We can see even from this, from the very beginning, that of "everything", it only allowd certain things that were "good for food", which other things simply weren't, "all" and "everything" must always be seen in proper context, and they do not always have to mean "universal release/allowance" of all that is in existence:

    Genesis 2:9 KJB - "And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food..."

    Genesis 6:21 KJB - And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather [it] to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

    So, we can clearly see that of "everything" that Noah brought along was already automatically delineated by known restrictions, to take only of that which was "good for food" and to not take that which was 'not' so. Some people seem to think just because something looks "good for food", and may even be "pleasant to the eyes", that it can then be eaten, but God gives the rules, and is not mocked if people choose to ignore/disregard that... and Eve herself found out the hard way [Genesis 3:6 KJB].

    So coming back again to Genesis 9:3:

    Genesis 9:3 KJB - Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

    ...we clearly see, the stipulations present in the text, even in the very text wherein God then allowed "animals" to be eaten, for He says, "even as the green herb". We can know from previous texts and context, that this means a clear distinctive in what may and may not be eaten and/or "good for food".

    Additionally, if we also consider that even before getting into the Ark, God says something very specific to Noah again, and without Him having to introduce an entire series of lists on it to Noah, and that is the Clean and Unclean, that Noah was to take aboard the Ark. This means that Noah clearly already understood such a distinction:

    Genesis 7:2 KJB - Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that [are] not clean by two, the male and his female.

    Genesis 7:8 KJB - Of clean beasts, and of beasts that [are] not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,

    Even in Genesis 8:7 KJB, we see that Noah sends the "Raven" [Unclean] out first. Ravens are scavengers [even carcase eaters]. If it would have found something to eat, it would be the first to know. And so in Genesis 8:8 KJB, Noah afterwards sends out the "dove" [Clean], a foraging bird, seeds of the ground etc. Did Noah know the difference, absolutely.

    We will also notice that the Unclean was only in a single pair [one male, one female], but yet the Clean by "sevens", that is to say "Seven pairs" [male and female], which means that the Clean animals were going to be more abundant when Noah got off the Ark and in the immediate years after. God already foreknew what He was going to give to Noah and humanity after the flood was over, the Clean animals for food. If God had given to Noah the Unclean right out of the Ark, that would have immediately ended their progeny, and might as well have been wiped out in the flood, but Noah as soon as he is out of the Ark, takes of the Clean animals and makes a sacrifice:

    Genesis 8:20 KJB - And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

    So the very Context of Genesis 9:3 KJB rightly states that which God allowed then to be eaten of among the animals saved, was that which was of the Clean variety, and only temporarily, as it was given to shorten the lifespan of the longlived sinful man. To say that God gave flesh for the overall health benefit of mankind, or no reason was given, denies what it plainly says:

    Genesis 9:4 KJB - But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

    Genesis 9:5 KJB - And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
    If it has blood in it, fat in it, diseased, of the unclean you may not eat it, not sodden, not burnt by fire and dried, it is not to be eaten, for if you do, the results of transgression are already working, even if you cannot immediately see it. God is not mocked. Death is stalking you, as a lion in the thicket, though you may not see, the danger is real and threatening ...

    Look at the ages of the men from the time before the flood, and after the flood.

    Leviticus 11:10 KJB - And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which [is] in the waters, they [shall be] an abomination unto you:

    Leviticus 11:11 KJB - They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.

    Leviticus 11:12 KJB - Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that [shall be] an abomination unto you.

    Leviticus 11:13 KJB - And these [are they which] ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they [are] an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

    Leviticus 11:20 KJB - All fowls that creep, going upon [all] four, [shall be] an abomination unto you.

    Leviticus 11:23 KJB - But all [other] flying creeping things, which have four feet, [shall be] an abomination unto you.

    Leviticus 11:41 KJB - And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth [shall be] an abomination; it shall not be eaten.

    Leviticus 11:42 KJB - Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon [all] four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they [are] an abomination.

    Isaiah 66:17 KJB - They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one [tree] in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
    etc., etc.

    Remember, that what God says is Abomination, is never altered.

    From Genesis to Revelation, Clean and Unclean is clearly known:

    "...three unclean ... like frogs..." [Revelation 16:13 KJB]

    "...a cage of every unclean and hateful bird." [Revelation 18:2 KJB]

    Do not allow yourself to be deceived on this issue...

    Deuteronomy 14:3 KJB - Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

    Health is spiritual. The mind and gut have a physical connection, as the brain/body do. Disease affects the spiritual, and vice-versa, even as depression of spirit can affect the health of the body.

    3 John 1:2 KJB - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
    Notice what Peter said:

    1 Peter 1:15 KJB - But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

    1 Peter 1:16 KJB - Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

    Peter, where are you quoting from? It's being quoted from right smack in the middle of the Dietary laws of Health for mankind:

    Leviticus 11:41 KJB - And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.

    Leviticus 11:42 KJB - Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.

    Leviticus 11:43 KJB - Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.

    Leviticus 11:44 KJB - For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

    Leviticus 11:45 KJB - For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

    Leviticus 11:46 KJB - This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:

    Leviticus 11:47 KJB - To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.

    etc. ...

    The sheer foolishness, and folly and yea madness itself of such a statement!

    I provided more than the Genesis 9:4-5 KJB quotation [whose effect is still in play, for all such animal flesh eaten, will bring about death, in one way or another, God's word is sure, "shall surely die"], such as Hosea 4:1-3 KJB; Romans 12;1; 1 Corinthins 10; Psalms 78; Numbers 11, etc, etc.

    What God do we worship, the Creator God, who created the beasts, not as food, but for enjoyment, and other things, or the 'god' of our bellies and desire?

    1 Corinthians 6:13 KJB - Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

    Philippians 3:19 KJB - Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
    Will they not learn from Esau, before it is too late, though it was written for our admonition, our correction?

    Hebrews 12:16 KJB - Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

    Hebrews 12:17 KJB - For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

    No one cannot, and still be honest with the text as it reads:

    Genesis 9:4 KJB - But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

    Genesis 9:5 KJB - And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

    Eat flesh of beasts [or blood, etc] and your life is required by God. Shortening the lifespan of sinful man, not prolonging it. Temporary, not permanent. Emergency, not naturally, not "very good" as it was in Genesis.

    Again, the spiritual thinking already affected by a spiritual mad-cows disease, spongiform encephalopathies, unrepentant holes in the heart.

    The connection of Health was not about 'giving diet offence to the Jews', as it is comingled with fornication, and idolatry and they are citing the scripture from Leviticus and Deuteronomy, and also from Amos [buidling up the House of David, not tearing it apart, Acts 15:15-17; citing Amos 9:11-12 KJB, granting repentance to the Gentiles [who turned to God and His commandments], not a repealing of the dietetic law or the spiritual laws of the Ten Commandments]:

    Acts 15:18 KJB - Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

    Acts 15:19 KJB - Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

    Acts 15:20 KJB - But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

    Acts 15:21 KJB - For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

    Acts 15:29 KJB - That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

    Acts 21:25 KJB - As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.

    Whole soul [person/creature] health.

    The Gentiles had more to learn every Sabbath, when the scripture was read, but a few foundational basics were given by the Holy Ghost to gently ease the Gentile believers into the right way, without over burdening them. Notice the ratio.

    Leviticus 7:26 KJB - Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.

    Leviticus 17:12 KJB - Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.

    Leviticus 17:13 KJB - And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.

    Leviticus 17:14 KJB - For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

    Leviticus 19:26 KJB - Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

    Deuteronomy 12:16 KJB - Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.

    Deuteronomy 12:23 KJB - Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.

    Deuteronomy 15:23 KJB - Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

    Leviticus 7:24 KJB - And the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is torn with beasts, may be used in any other use: but ye shall in no wise eat of it.

    Leviticus 22:8 KJB - That which dieth of itself, or is torn with beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am the LORD.

    Deuteronomy 14:21 KJB - Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

    Ezekiel 4:14 KJB - Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.

    Exodus 20:2 KJB - I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

    Exodus 20:3 KJB - Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

    Exodus 20:4 KJB - Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

    Exodus 20:5 KJB - Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

    Exodus 34:15 KJB - Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;

    Exodus 34:16 KJB - And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.

    Exodus 34:17 KJB - Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.

    Deuteronomy 23:17 KJB - There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

    etc., etc...

    Acts 10 & 11, among other text proves Peter's point in Acts 15:

    Acts 10:14 KJB - But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

    Acts 10:28 KJB - And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

    Acts 11:8 KJB - But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

    Acts 11:18 KJB - When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

    Peter understood the dietetic laws of God, which are unchanged to this day, but he had for a time misunderstood the vision and its meaning, for it was not speaking of 'pig', but 'persons'. Acts 10 & 11 is years after the ascension and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

    I've listened to the first lecture. I've read a lot of technical papers relating to diabetes & diet. I've had diabetes T2 for over 20 years (diagnosed for 18) and am now 79. My general health is excellent, with low BP, BMI of 25. I am
    clear of the diabetes complications that were crippling 10 years ago. I changed my diet from high complex carb to low carb, high fat. With 3 months my health was restored. My blood sugars became much more stable. I lost 7-10 lbs. The only drug I take is metformin, 3x500 mg.

    I am posting from experience. I can post a lot more from personal experience & from technical studies, and from medical professionals who have themselves found the benefit of the LCHF diet & have introduced it successfully into general practice in the treatment of their diabetic patients.

    Are you folk diabetic & seeking solutions or simply posting second hand information that promotes SDA vegetarianism?

    I'm happy to engage in a serious practical discussion, but I'm not interested in SDA propaganda.

    Romans 14, probably the most abused text in all of scripture [KJB], for men abuse it [as those did to the woman of Judges 19 KJB] to justify every sin and disobedience when it suits them. It is not license to eat anything, neither the unclean and abomination.

    The "meat" [Gr. 'broma' - simply that which is eaten, which also included "flesh" [Romans 14:21 KJB]] of Romans 14 was specific to that which was offered first unto idols, and then sold in the shambles, see also the connecting passages in 1 Corinthians 10:11-33 KJB.

    Romans 14, is preceded by the Commandments of God in Romans 13:8-10 KJB -

    Romans 13:8 KJB - Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

    Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

    Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
    More on this later.

    There is much to consider in Romans 14, but I will come back to this, and detail it later. For the moment:

    What shall we notice as we consider the text of Romans 14 in whole? The first thing that should immediately be noticed, is that the following greek words are nowhere present in Romans 14:

    [1.] sabbaton [Sabbath, the Holy 7th Day of the Lord thy God]
    [2.] th hmera th ebdomh [the 7th Day],
    [3.] akathartos [[inherently] unclean],
    [4.] bdelygma [abomination],
    [5.] katapausis, anapauo, anapausis [rest],
    [6.] episynagoge, synago [gathering, [sacred] assembling],
    [7.] nomos [Law],
    [8.] entole [commandment]

    What we will find in the text is the consideration of matters of Faith, of both those who are “weak” and those who are “strong”; also of matters of Judgment, of both the incorrect and of the correct; and also of matters of Brotherly Love in Christ Jesus, of stumbling, and of standing; and also matters of service, unto selfishness and inconsideration to/of others in Him, or selflessly and in consideration to/of others in Him.

    Here is a list of certain primary words that are found in Romans 14:

    krinō” “κρίνω” is used 10 times in Romans 14:

    “judge” [Romans 14:3,10,13 (two times)]

    “he that eateth” [Romans 14:6 (two times)]
    “he eateth” [Romans 14:6]
    “eateth” [Romans 14:6]
    “who eateth” [Romans 14:7]

    ergon” “ἔργον” is used 1 time in Romans 14:

    “the work” [Romans 14:20], being the “the work of God”
    koinos” “κοινός” is used 3 times in Romans 14:

    “unclean” [Romans 14:14 (three times)] ["koinon" - meaning “common”, see Acts 10:28, 1:8-9 KJB; this word is not inherently unclean by nature as pig [bdelygma, abomination, akatharton, unclean], etc, but unclean by association, made common or profane]

    Acts 10:28 KJB - And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

    Acts 10:28 GNT TR - εφη τε προς αυτους υμεις επιστασθε ως αθεμιτον εστιν ανδρι ιουδαιω κολλασθαι η προσερχεσθαι αλλοφυλω και εμοι ο θεος εδειξεν μηδενα κοινον η ακαθαρτον λεγειν ανθρωπον

    Acts 11:8 KJB - But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

    Acts 11:9 KJB - But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

    Acts 11:8 GNT TR - ειπον δε μηδαμως κυριε οτι παν κοινον η ακαθαρτον ουδεποτε εισηλθεν εις το στομα μου

    Acts 11:9 GNT TR - απεκριθη δε μοι φωνη εκ δευτερου εκ του ουρανου α ο θεος εκαθαρισεν συ μη κοινου
    So, let us go back to the beginning of the text and see what Paul is actually addressing, but before that, another grossly abused text, Mark 7:14-23 KJB ...

    ... to be continued ...

    Many, who teach that all things may be eaten, love to quote Mark Chapter 7 especially the corrupt ASV on the subject of "Clean and Unclean":

    Mark 7:19 ASV [error] - because it goeth not into his heart, but into his belly, and goeth out into the draught? This he said, making all meats clean.

    But the latter portion of the text "This he said, making all meats clean." is a gross distortion to the Koine Greek, as it separates the thought and adds the words "This he said" between, which is nowhere found in any of the Koine Greek manuscripts.

    Here is the Greek:

    Mar 7:19 GNT TR - οτι ουκ εισπορευεται αυτου εις την καρδιαν αλλ εις την κοιλιαν και εις τον αφεδρωνα εκπορευεται καθαριζον παντα τα βρωματα

    [also the corrupt Alexandrian texts, except "kaqarizon" is "kaqarizwn" in its place]

    Yet originally the Disciples in Mark 7:2 KJB, eat "bread" [artos], and also in Matthew 15:2 KJB, the word is "bread" [artos]. It is later, in the explanation time, that the word Jesus uses is "food" [brwmata].

    Let's look at the texts of Mark 7KJB along with Matthew 15 KJB, since they are related:

    Matthew 15:11 KJB - Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

    Mark 7:15 KJB - There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.

    What is the very Context of Mark 7? It is a Parable:

    Mark 7:16 KJB - If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

    Mark 7:17 KJB - And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.

    Mark 7:18 KJB - And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, [it] cannot defile him;

    Mark 7:19 KJB - Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

    Mark 7:20 KJB - And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

    Mark 7:21 KJB - For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

    Mark 7:22 KJB - Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

    Mark 7:23 KJB - All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

    And also from Matthew 15 KJB:

    Matthew 15:15 KJB - "Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable."

    Matthew 15:16 KJB - And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?

    Matthew 15:17 KJB - Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

    Matthew 15:18 KJB - But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

    Matthew 15:19 KJB - For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

    Matthew 15:20 KJB - These are [the things] which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

    The disciples did not immediately understand what Jesus had stated on the subject, for they already knowing that Jesus would never eat anything Unclean, or teach it to be so, and so they were confused about what Jesus had said to those who had questioned the disciples actions of eating bread with unwashen hands.

    The disciples knew what God teaches on the matter of Clean and Unclean, and knew by Jesus very own example of obedience to the Father in them, yet they could not understand His reply to the accusation of the Pharisees against themselves. This would not be their first time in misunderstanding the words of Christ Jesus in His sayings. They were also confused later about the "leaven of Herod and the Pharisees" that Jesus spake of. They were constantly misapplying and misunderstanding the physical and the spiritual understanding.

    Going back a bit, to Verse 1 [of Mark], it was the "scribes and the Pharisees" who were asking Jesus about his disciples, who, according to the Pharisees, were transgressing the "tradition of the elders" [which are manmade rules, not commanded of by God] being about "washing of hands" [vs 2].

    Mark 7:1 KJB - Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.

    Mark 7:2 KJB - And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.

    Mark 7:3 KJB - For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash [their] hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.

    Mark 7:4 KJB - And [when they come] from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, [as] the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.

    Mark 7:5 KJB - Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

    Matthew 15:1 KJB - Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,

    Matthew 15:2 KJB - Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

    The Pharisees were complaining about unwashed [ανιπτοις] hands. The scripture records that the Pharisees would, by tradition handed down [παρελαβον] orally through their fathers/elders [παραδοσιν των πρεσβυτερων], that they were to wash [νιψωνται] their hands, and even wash [βαπτισωνται] their whole bodies, and wash [βαπτισμους] all their pots, cups and pans, before they ate anything, especially after coming from the Market places, where Gentiles could be. The Pharisees were always worried about contracting 'uncleanness', their 'heathenness', from these. They had incorrectly thought, and upheld by their tradition, that simply from mere contact with anything pertaining to the Gentiles, person or item, would make them unclean.

    Yet Jesus clearly says of those oral traditions of the fathers handed down, that by them they were in many cases transgressing [παραβαινετε] the Commandments of God, and worshipping Him in vain [ματην] and rejecting [αθετειτε] Him to keep their Traditions and words of men, and called the hypocrites, drawing near with their mouths, but were far away in their heart service to God. They were to be the Light of the World, yet shunned those, as unclean, and despised those to whom they were to take that very Light [the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus in Luke 16 is around that same issue]:

    Mark 7:6 KJB - He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with [their] lips, but their heart is far from me.

    Mark 7:7 KJB - Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.

    Mark 7:8 KJB - For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, [as] the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

    Mark 7:9 KJB - And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

    Mark 7:13 KJB - Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

    Matthew 15:3 KJB - But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

    Matthew 15:6 KJB - "...Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition."

    Matthew 15:7 KJB - [Ye] hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

    Matthew 15:8 KJB - This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from me.

    Matthew 15:9 KJB - But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.
