Rob, you are blinded by this woman EGW, and until you disregard her for what she IS, a FALSE "prophet", there is no point in any further discussion with you. Your "reasoning" is NOT your own, but hers!

Indeed that is what He told her -

Let's see if we can find any example of thought-police style religious intolerance in our own time .. not merely restricted to the future.

I have never argued on this thread that you or anyone else would have to do enough Bible study to find that Ellen White had the true gift of prophecy described in 1 Cor 12. That is also not my topic nor my subject here.

You specifically asked my view on whether God is the one who told her about the future.

I appreciate your willingness to do that bit of creative writing. But I prefer the Bible since "Sola scriptura testing" means so much to me.

I think you already knew that by now.

I assume you are about to try quote something to make your point. Feel free to do so.

False accusation mill still churning out material? Why not turn to some other form of evidence than creative writing?

I have never asked you or anyone else here to accept Ellen White as a prophet. All of my responses are from the Bible - it is you that asked me to discuss Ellen White.

You appear to be asking that I put SBG on ignore and not respond to SBG posts.

Are you implying that you have seen other people do that as well?

And where would Baptists learn to respond to even the most basic and easy Bible based points that we make if not in a baptist-friendly board like BB??

Do you really want to "wait" to confront these hard questions until you get to some other venue like "Christian Forums" where the percentage of Baptist friendly posters is not nearly as high? This is the best, most comfortable place for Baptists to respond to these points. Why not take advantage of it?

Vitriol and intolerance alone is a very short-sighted "solution" for many objective unbiased Bible students. Work on the "sola scriptura testing" angle instead.

the problem is, that they are NOT hard questions, but twisted Scriptures and quotes from FALSE teaches!

I don't mind conversing with those who say we are fodder for the lake of fire because of the indwelling Spirit I know they are wrong.

So both sides of this issue of Sabbath Keeping HAVE FULLY CONDEMNED EACH OTHER.

Lets move on from there and try to calmly discuss the Sabbath - what it is and how it is to be kept under the New Covenant.

To read the Book of Hebrews would help.

Thanks Hank for your words of wisdom. As much as I loathe heresy and false accusations, I admit that I have handled these exchanges unchristlike.

Chronologically what is the setting of Isa 56 and in what context is the Sabbath/Sabbaths being used to the people being spoken to or about?

Is Isa 56 BC, AD, or even post parousia ?

Bob, in the Latin Rite we also have some people who have received revelations from God, but these are personal revelations, not revelations that have become part of the teachings of the Church. You on the other hand belong to a faith tradition where the whole kit and caboodle is derived from this woman's rantings, a false prophet if there ever was one.

Now if you will kindly answer the question that I posed earlier. What about all the other 600 or so commands that one is required to adhere to in order to be a good Christian Jew? I mean really, you cannot pick and choose which ones to adhere to (Saturday worship) and then ditch the rest. You are choosing the OT way instead of the living God as brought to us in the form of Jesus Christ.

Bob Ryan? Did he quit? I think that any SDA or anyone else who supports the heresy of EGW, that those who worship on Sunday, will receive the "mark of the beast", should not be allowed on BB. IMHO

Martin Luther says its a SIN NOT TO KILL JEWS. So I suppose you are condemned for his stupidity too.

You are misrepresenting their position. YOUR PLAYING DIRTY. Your the kind who would cheat, undermine, and kill their opposition.

You shouldn't be in the debate boards, you should be on the "pat me on the back" board.

Your the type of person that killed Jesus. Who just looks for whatever murderous way possible to censor others.

"You are misrepresenting their position". Really? do you actually know what you accuse of, or just make dumb remarks? Read what EGW herself has written, and then see who misrepresents who.

"If the light of truth has been presented to you, revealing the Sabbath of the fourth commandment, and showing that there is no foundation in the Word of God for Sunday observance, and yet you still cling to the false Sabbath, refusing to keep holy the Sabbath which God calls "my holy day," you receive the mark of the beast. When does this take place? When you obey the decree that commands you to cease from labor on Sunday and worship God, while you know that there is not a word in the Bible showing Sunday to be other than a common working day, you consent to receive the mark of the beast, and refuse the seal of God." Ellen G. White Estate: Daily Devotional - Maranatha

IF, you know your Bible, you will see that no one who received the "mark of the beast" is saved, or can enter heaven.

yet another foolish statement. Where did Martin Luther say that he was a "prophet" of God? Where did he say that his writings were "inspired" as those of the OT writers? Please don't post rubbish unless you want to keep looking a fool!

    Was Martin Luther a Baptist?

    You're.

    You're.

    That's not up to you.
