I have read it and I addressed it: what part of that don't you understand?

    The taxpayer
Parliament and the Common Law, not the Government. Our Government doesn't make laws; it may introduce a Bill into Parliament but it's Parliament that decides, not the Government. Only last night the Government's Bill to leave the EU was voted down by Parliament.
Er...court officials (sheriffs and the like) or litigants
Name one British court that Theresa May controls then

Do you not see that every above entity you named is part of the State?

#72. I gave my opinion very plainly there. I also asked you a question there which you have thus far failed to answer. Please now answer it.

None of them are part of the Government, no. You seem ignorant of our constitution; it is more tricky to understand since it isn't neatly written down in one place like yours but I can assure you we do have one and it was one of the modules I had to study at University as part of my Law degree, so I do know something of which i speak. I've done what I can here to explain the difference between the Government, Parliament and the Law Courts.

Matt, this goes to differences in the systems of government. It seems to me in Great Britain, The State refers to the executive functions of the cabinet governing in the Crown's name. In the US, the same words are used to refer to all branches executive, legislative, and judicial. The executive (the President or one of the governors) cannot directly bring a piece of legislation to the floor.

Ah, in that case we are talking past each other. Thank you for clarifying. Here, 'the Government' refers to Theresa May, her Cabinet, junior ministers and the civil servants who work for them, based in Whitehall. Parliament sits in Westminster which is down the road from Whitehall, although members of the Government also sit in Parliament, partly so that Parliament can hold them to account. The judges sit wherever there is a court.

You said "Do I believe that God is a genocidal maniac like Hitler? No, never! Do you?" You did not in any way answer the question.
In that passage, God ordered the killing of men, women, children, babies, and all livestock. Your non-answer was a comparison to Hitler.
God is just. Hitler was evil. There is no comparison of God and Hitler.

Please explain your view of Gods actions in 1 Sam. 15.

And its all by definition part of the social term " government." You are as usual attempting to play childish word games.
Government is "the political direction and control exercised over the actions of the members, citizens, or inhabitants of communities, societies, and states; direction of the affairs of a state, community, etc.; political administration:".

Unless you can make a case that courts have no authority over the actions of people, you are simply mistaken as usual.

It's very simple: I don't believe that God ordered genocide. Good individuals do not commit or order genocide or mass murder. If one believes that God did order that then by definition one does not believe in an individual who can in any sense be called 'good' but, rather, evil like Hitler or Pol Pot. So I ask you again - and this time it is your turn to answer - do you believe that God is an evil mass murderer like Hitler?

Constitutionally and legally it isn't. I'm a lawyer; I say what the law is.
    And you're not, right?

Matt has an English Law degree. I assume he's at least a solicitor if not a barrister (see I paid attention to Rumpole of the Bailey). That means he is being lawyerly precise. And we see again two countries being divided by a common language.

You seem to want to define God by your standards of Social Justice....he cares not for you opinions.

So are you saying that God is evil and orders genocide?

    God is love.

And he did order the complete genocide of Israel’s enemies.

I don't care what degree you have. Courts are a branch of social government. They rule on laws created by a government. They are funded by taxes levied and collected by government. They are a branch of government.

No, you have not answered anything.

Are you saying God did not order what He is quoted in I Sam 15 as ordering? I Samuel 15 is a lie?

Have you thought about who and how many people God killed in the flood of Noah?

I will answer your question for you again. If God orders anything, it is Good. Gods command to annihilate a race in I Sam 15 was Good, righteous, and just. You are attempting to conform God to your moral standards.

Those two statements are contradictory. To believe the second you would have to believe that God is no better than Hitler, Stalin or Milosevic
