There you go again. Genesis does not back you up. Have you read the Genesis "everlasting covenant"? Most Fundamentalists and Evangelicals call you heretical on this point.

I am not bothered by the heretical charge coming from fundamentalists and evangelicals. In fact, that can be taken as a compliment.

The ignorance on your side is consistent, covenant theologians are wrong and anti-semitic?
Palestinians are semites as well, do you support them?
Why don't you go find a commentary or a writing that supports your claims written before the 1800s....

Thats weird, everyone before the 1800s must of been "heretical".......

Justin Martyr on the Church. Around 150 AD

"For we are the true and spiritual
Israelitish nation, and the race of Judah and of Jacob and Isaac and Abraham,
who when he was still uncircumcised received witness from God for his faith,
and was blessed, and was called father of many nations - we, I say, are all
this, who were brought nigh to God by Him who was crucified, even Christ..."

1 Kings 9:1-9 clearly states that Go's promises to Israel were conditional. Has Israel remained faithful to God and kept His commandments? NO.

[1Ki 9:1-9 KJV] 1 And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do, 2 That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon. 3 And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, [and] wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: 5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
6 [But] if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments [and] my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: 7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: 8 And at this house, [which] is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house? 9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

They were and are cut off.....for now. They shall be restored by promise of the Lord. Paul said so under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

What you just read has never happened in world history. The nation did not repent in A.D. 70, the promise is yet future. Jesus has never sat upon the throne of David. That is yet future.

    You quoted I Kings 9:5 ...
as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
The fulfillment of that promise BEGINS at the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ the Messiah. This is either true or else God failed in His promise and He did not see the failure of the established throne of David. But God does not fail nor does He lie. So the promise is for a yet future king (Jesus).

Paul goes on to say in the same chapter:

27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.

The Jews have been cut off for over 2,000 yrs but that is not going to continue. He will come again and restore the 12 tribes of Jacob as they are mentioned in Revelation, each of them by name.

No this is a failed interpretation of the Throne of David.

prophecy70, The ignorance on your side is consistent, covenant theologians are wrong and anti-semitic?

Your buddies have been consistently pouring out the many faults and sins of the Jews. I've seen it countless times and not just here on BB.

Palestinians are semites as well, do you support them?

Yes, but they are not the chosen ones who have the Abrahamic covenant as given by God.

Why don't you go find a commentary or a writing that supports your claims written before the 1800s....

I have done that in the past but your comrades in error blow it all away. They don't care about the real truth of this matter. Furthermore, their sense of application and timing absolutely reeks with confusion.

Absolutely not! Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel will sit on the throne of David without fail and that throne will never be without it's king as promised.

    Isaiah 9:6-7
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

    It is yet future.

For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he himself says: 'THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET." ' "Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified." " (Acts 2:34-36)

    Fulfilled prophecy.
