Today when I dropped in on this forum I saw several new attacks on Andy Stanley. I am always amazed to see who sets themselves up as judge and jury. If some of you on this forum spent as much time building up God's men as you do tearing them down what great things could be done for God. Last month were tearing up the Pastor who wrote the Purpose Driven Church and next month it will be someone else. What about those who are doing a great job doing God's work.

I noticed that those who are tearing down these men of God haven't built anything. They are preachers, lay people and so forth that haven't built anything worth while. When you can built a ministry like Rick Warren or Andy Stanley then I might listen to you. When all you do is try to tear down someone who is doing something for God when they are built nothing, they are zeros in my book. Do something for God before you start running off your mouth.

I spent 34 years in the ministry and I feel I had a great impact on those I ministered to. But I spent the time I had trying to do something for God not tearing down other men of God who have done more for the cause of Christ in one day than most of these deadbeats have done in ten years of ministry.

Get off your high horse and do something for GOD instead of acting like a big cheese on a fourm!!

Why the attack on those who disagree with you? Aren't you doing the same thing as those you condemn?

    You say:
Have you ever considered taking your own advice?

I can't get over Rick Warrens statements about Islam. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but Warren goes way too far.

Wow, why the hostility towards your Brethren? We need encouragement, not discouragement.

As far as criticizing ministries, I simply criticize people that have strayed from the bible, as the bible commands. I think most people on this forum do the same.

This is the folly of misusing judgment passage in Scripture. If you really believe you should never judge, then technically you can't criticize those you think are judging. And if you think you can make an exception to judge judgers, then you've admitted their are exceptions.

I would recommend you try to defend Andy Stanley. He's said some pretty provocative, possibly heretical things. But if you think that's an unjust statement, explain your case and defend him.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Well, I know nothing about these particular things that you have brought up but I DO know that the Bible says that if someone is teaching error that we are supposed to speak out about that, and not just watch our Brethren being deceived and misled. God will hold us responsible otherwise.
