Of course, those charges against Bush and Trump stem from the fact that all weather disasters are now caused only by climate change, and neither president was activist on limiting carbon emissions.

 

IMO, we should not conflate evolutionary theory with climate change. The first is a house of cards sitting upon faith-based assumptions (in the sense of being made a priori, and not provable), such as: life arose spontaneously from non-life, and that only replicable natural phenomena are in play (and that those phenomena have always occurred at the same rate and manner as measured today.) Changes in climate have biblical support - prior to the Flood, rain did not occur. After the Flood, climate appears to have become far more variable than before. Attributing the higher temperatures recorded over recent decades to increased carbon dioxide has support from simple physics, but our atmosphere and oceans are anything but simple. And as many a builder of computer models has said, all models are wrong but some are useful.

We should be good stewards of the planet. Climate change aside, we are definitely polluting the planet. Why y'all think the cancer rate is sky high? Asthma? Severe allergies?

 

There have been temperature cycles. I am not as much concerned about that as I am pollution in general. Our air, water, soil. The air from Atlanta is killing trees in the Great Smokey Mountains National Forest. There are days the smokies are smoggy.

 

Not in this case. The main pollution source of our air is Atlanta and they don't have many forest fires.

Mankind's actions are not needed by God for anything. However, God has used human actions for His own (perfect) purposes. If He wishes human-caused carbon dioxide to warm the atmosphere for His purposes, perhaps to somehow draw more sinners to Himself, that's what would happen. IMO, humans are causing at least some of the warming climate, but I totally believe that God is in control, and completely sovereign. I also agree with Reynolds that we should be good stewards of God's creation - that's clearly biblical.
