How can anyone say the KJV is much better than the Greek?

They can if they are followers of Peter Ruckman doctrine which FWIW and IMO is a totally futile rabbit hole chase (which ends without a rabbit).

Modern English translations (including the 1611 AV) convert the words of the original language words in the Bible to capture and publish the thought of those original words for speakers of English.

The king's English (yes even the Elizabethan-Jacobean period English) was the endeavor in 1611 to do just that to bring the Word of God to the people in their own language to the best of their ability with the contemporary tools and available knowledge.

I suppose one can say the KJV is better than the Greek for those English speakers who don't know koine Greek because they can't read/understand the Greek text.

However that reflects on the reader and not the text (English or Greek). :)

Depends on who is saying it. To a person who cannot read or understand Greek the English is much better insofar as understanding is concerned. :)

True, but one would be hard pressed to find anyone other then the KJVO who would say an English translation would be used to "correct" errors in the original languages texts!
