5200 troops to the border--enough?

if they are to have live ammo, and not be hamstrung as we were for troops overseas, as were not able to have live ammo while in a war zone!

 

Really hope everything will get solved out with peaceful solutions and not point fingers. But sadly it is easier said than done. And hope that it can be brought on by that of finding solutions, not pointing fingers.

 

Yes, so do I. Hopefully they get the message and return to where they came from. These people are purely economic migrants, not political refugees fleeing a war torn homeland. They have no right to demand entry into the United States, no right whatsoever.

I read he may send 15000. He may keep them there until he gets the wall. He’s beefing up Gitmo right now too, and sending JAG’s down. Why? I can think of many treasonous reasons. Underestimate Trump at your peril. No wonder thousands of deplorables turn out for him wherever he goes.

 

AMLO does not take office until December. He has no control over the Mexican response to this.

To be fair, I think it is right that the US protect its borders and probably need more funding and resources to manage the migration, including manpower and security that may include physical structures.

What doesn't need to happen is the hyperbole and fear mongering through the media as if this was the biggest threat to US sovereignty while other things like Russian election interference and Saudi Arabia killing a reporter working for a US newspaper in their embassy are no big deal.

 

In terms of violent drug dealers and mafia/cartel types, Trump seems to get along with them fine as long as they have the right skin tone, accent and bank account size. He helps them with real estate deals, vouches for them in depositions and even hires them to work for him.

I agree. Mexico should enforce their laws. Since they did not, our primary beef should be with them. We do not have methods and procedures to deal with unarmed, civilian invaders.
