Yesterday, I was told by someone that I'd taken the marka the beast by using a debit/credit card & paying mosta my bills online. I replied, "You need to STUDY Scripture, not just read it or listen to someone else's private interps."

Here's the Scripture involved - Rev. 13:16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Now, I certainly don't wear my card on my hand or forehead, & I can still buy/sell without it. And I'm not compelled by law to have it. So, I do NOT have the marka the beast, according to Scripture.

I believe the mark will be an implanted microchip. I believe the beast will hawk it before it becomes "the law" as a theft-proof, loss-proof replacement for money or cards. (I also believe the rapture will have occurred & will be explained away by the beast as some other phenomenon. That way, there won't be hardly any opposition to this "mark".) Thus, there won't be much opposition to that mark becoming world law. I believe he will also arrange for the chip to de-activate upon its bearer's death, to discourage murder for the purpose of stealing one's chip. (I believe that having the beast's name and/or number will be taking an oath of loyalty to him, perhaps giving a written declaration of loyalty.)

Most people know the tech exists for such a chip now, but acceptance is very low where it's offered.

But I DO believe the world is being conditioned to accept it when the time comes, even though that time won't be til the antichrist & his sidekick the false prophet come to power & found his empire.

What are YOUR thoughts on this subject, Other Readers ?

The key is that it will be something that will be known as one receiving Antichrist as their Lord Messiah, not something done in secret!

Well our forebears got it right when they taught that the papcy is antichrist. It is his mark that is the mark of the beast, that is the sign of the cross, given by the 'priest' with hiis right hand on the forehead, and is repeated by Catholics and others when the 'cross themselves' with their right hand, starting with the forehead.

*sigh* Approving of one's sins. The mark on the forehead.

Not approving with the mind, yet yielding one's members. The mark on the hand.

Antichrists are in the world now.

There is one more ingredient which makes the judgement of God fall. The worship of the beast.

    Revelation 14
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

    Revelation 16
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

    That's 'WAY off!

The sign of the cross has nothingta do with doing business. And it's made WITH the hand, not ON it!

And the papacy is NOT the "beast/antichrist/man of sin". That's a silly notion that was started by Martin Luther c. 1518 as his feud with nRCC officials was escalating. While there's been some evil popes, such as Rodrigo Borgia, none have been "the man of sin, that Wicked, son of perdition", who entered the temple in Jerusalem & declared himself to be God. (That event hasn't yet happened. It didn't happen in the temple that was destroyed in 70 AD & a new one hasn't been built yet.)

Right now, all evidence points to some kinda implantable microchip becoming the marka the beast. You can forget that "papacy = beast" notion right now!

There have been antichrists since there's been Christ!

However, NONE have been the prophesied great evil world ruler who will build a huge empire, make a police state that'll make the Gestapo, Kempetai, & KJB look like Cub Scouts in comparison, & declare himself God, greater than anyone or anything that's ever been worshipped.

Scripture plainly points to ONE MAN, who will have a miracle-working false prophet as his sidekick.

    Right, Hank.

This man will commit the "abomination of desolation", (Daniel 11:31) that will consist of he & his sidekick, the miracle-working false prophet, the "beast from the earth", entering a temple that'll be built by the Jews in Jerusalem, setting up that man's statue, which the FP will make speak by Satanic power, while the main man declares himself to be God. Very obviously, that event didn't occur in the old temple that was destroyed in 70 AD. The FP will issue the marka the beast at that time.(Rev. 13)

Seems possible but if the microchip would be the fulfillment of the scripture I just have a challenge accepting the why of the in the right hand OR the forehead? How and why would anyone sign on to having a chip implanted anywhere on their face. Their hand I could see....their face? Still makes me wonder if there's still something we're not understanding as yet. Perhaps a chip implanted in someones prescription glasses for people that don't want something put in their skin? But again I just can't see someone allowing chips inserted onto their head or face.

Perhaps you have something there, but what about someone who has no hands?

There are a few places that have "forehead touch screens" for certain purposes, especially ID.

    Pretty much.
It's what you think and what you do. You are either serving God (Revelation 7:3; 14:1) or serving Satan.
To quote Bob Dylan, "You're gonna serve somebody."

Well like I shared I'm not absolutely sure any of this has to be a micro-chip of anything. Looking at our culture it does seem to appear likely.

One with no hands wouldn't amount to a number of any significance to change about a system. A chip therefore would be put wherever possible. Or there would be a special allowance for these very few such cases to have a card which can be scanned.

My point is that those who receive the mark(s) do not necessarily receive judgement from God but the mark and ALSO worship him.

The impression I get from all the Scriptures mentioning the mark is that all who will receive it willingly and will at least obey & be loyal to the beast, whether or not they outright worship him or not.

Remember, the false prophet will provide that all who won't worship his boss or his syatue shall be killed. There'll be a fair number of trib saints who'll be martyred for refusing to worship the beast.

Not to digress from the theme too much, but for those who argue there'll be no raprure, teanslation, catching-up, or whatever they wanna call it... We see that right now, most people refuse to be implanted with a business microchip, or even one that serves as an identifier and security door opener, claiming it to be the marka the beast. I believe the rapture will occur shortly after the beast takes power. We see he will gain power peacefully, in a time of tranquillity, suggesting he will be the greatest demagogue ever, His predecessors, Napoleon & Hitler, were great demagogues, but this man, indwelt by Satan, will be the most-persuasive of all. he will have an explanation for the disappearance of millions that mosta the world will buy, & not attribute it to God.

With the Christians gone, there'll be little-to-no opposition to accepting the microchip. I don't believe this could be possible without the rapture having occurred,

Why would we call a microchip a "mark"? Because God was telling John of a future event, and He kept His explanation in talk that John could understand, as John likely never even dreamt of microchips, etc. But by calling it a "mark", God kept it relevant to us as well.

The Pope could well be the False prophet, or the RCC itself, but not be the final Antichrist!

The word "mark" in Koine is charagma Usually a visible image like a tattoo.

This is entirely possible with a metallic based tattoo ink with a binary coded ID embedded.
