You have to separate dispy futurism from Covenant futurism though, as you tend to lump it all together!

    Luke 24:45-47
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.”

    Luke 5:32
I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

    Proverbs 28:13
He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

You forgot to add the ones about the blood of Jesus cleansing us from ALL sin, and that there is now therefore NO condemnation for those now in Christ Jesus!

Who is qualified to both identify essential biblical doctrines and also repudiate new light on what could very well be a testable, God-given interpretation of the book of Revelation? Briefly stated: Who is qualified to say that what God has revealed from the Bible to someone isn't essential?

That's easy! Christianity has a 2000 year history of essential beliefs.

We can say with absolute certainty that Ellen White was a false Prophetess, based upon her heretical theology!

Which was once and for all delivered to the Church, so no Ellen White/Joseph Smith/Pastor Russell etc!

    1 John 1:7-9
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Ellen White does not have a following for her speculations.

And you believe that the quote from Sister White in the opening post is heretical?

Hence, there would be no Investigative Judgment as Ellen White had "revealed" to her!

There are only something like 20 million members of the Seventh-day Adventist church, which professes Ellen White's prophetic gift of the Spirit.

According to the author of this thread, the SDA are a cult based on a statement by Sister White that is well supported by Scripture. Perhaps you are just as mistaken as that first detractor.

Which is very sad, for by her own theology, showed herself not to be of God!

Ellen White erred on her views regarding Sabbath, health, mark of the beast, prophecy, Sda being loyal Remnant Church, Investigative Judgment, etc!

I am the first to confess that Sister White's visions and dreams are just visions and dreams. Most importantly, I don't fault anyone for believing in their visionary experiences. The error of Seventh-day Adventists is their unquestioning acceptance of everything that Sister White wrote with all its extraordinary details only because much of what she wrote is impressive. I believe it's obviously presumptuous to accept Sister White as an infallible interpreter of the Bible (and also to unquestionably accept all her visionary experiences as God communicating directly to her) because it leads Adventists to bypass God's command to test everything.

For the record, I don't accept the SDA doctrine of the Investigative Judgment because it's obviously based on Sister White's visionary experiences. To Sister White's credit however, the Adventist Investigative Judgment doctrine is easily repairable. The simple fix has been achieved with the Seventh-day Millerite understanding of The Great, Final, Awesome Settling of Destiny.

As I said, I don't fault anyone for believing in their visionary experiences. I believe that Ellen White is a dear Sister in the Lord.

Even though she had wrong and erroneous theology, claimed to be from God directly?
