You thought it would be any other way? When it is said replacement windows pay for themselves, what does it mean?

I don't care if we pay for the wall, want a wall to help stem the flow of illegals and drugs. At the same time we should have a regular presence of regular military forces on the border. They could be patrolling in those out of the way desert areas and maybe a few firefights against the cartel smugglers will make them think twice about invading our land.

 

Exactly. And right now, the USA is paying a terrible price for not having a wall, for poor border security, for chain migration, for millions of illegal aliens, for "sanctuary" cities and states, for anchor babies, etc., etc. etc.

 

Besides correcting the unfair trade with Mexico:

Trump: Mexico will pay "one way or another"...

I heard simply saving the medical costs for immigrants for one year would also pay for the wall.

Then there is the cost of 20,000 ICE agents, the courts and like 2,400 judges.

Wonder how much it costs to house and feed all the (40,000+) illegal immigrant gang members and criminals in our prison system?

The cost of having to move 5,000 troops to the border when a good wall could have done the job? ($72 million, does not mention the $138 million in National Guard costs.)

A while back I made visits to do Medicare paid for physical therapy home health care, which isn’t a cheap service, to an assisted living facility that had 300 nice one bedroom apartments where hardly anyone there even spoke English, it was like being in a foreign country, and makes me wonder how many of those are around while our vets live on the street? (Average costs $3,500 per individual a month) ...so nice we can pay for Mexico's elderly for them.

The nationwide costs to our school system, besides diminishing the quality for our own children? ($116 Billion !! – that alone is the wall x5!)

I'm sure there are many other cases I left out...

So does solving the illegal immigration problem from Mexico pay for the wall "one way or another", ah, YES!

Seems like SOME PEOPLE still need to learn Trumpian speak better…

 

It would be easier if Mexico would build the wall on their side of the border. They would not have the right-of-way issues that we have and it would be a big public works project for them, but I imagine that we will build a northern wall for them on our side and they will build their own southern wall against Guatemala. Mexico desperately wants to stop all the guns and cash flowing south into the hands of the narcotraffickers. Curiously, Alley Oop, Trucutu, President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel hosted a summit of himself, murderer Maduro of Venezuela, child molester Ortega of Nicaragua, and cocaine grower Morales of Bolivia but did not invite the Marxist AMLO of Mexico, who may be outgrowing some of his socialistic ideas but Mexico is still not a safe bet for foreign investment as AMLO wants to re-nationalize the Mexican oil industry, for example.
