New techonoligy allows you to use your phone to make financial transactions
at your ATM or purchase at a store.

    Good, bad, indifferent?

Would you pay a bill by your telephone?

In preparation for the Man of Sin to be "revealed"? 2 Thessalonian 2:1-17.

In Paul's day would not a device held in your hand (and the whole world) showing the talking moving image of a man demanding to be worshiped be considered a lying wonder?

And if you didn't worship him you would then be "unfriended" and disconnected from your funds.

Good. More security against fraud using your phone.

Yes, I would pay with my phone if it were accepted everywhere I went.

Using your phone requires two-factor identification. You need your fingerprint, PIN#, password, or facial recognition to unlock and/or turn on the mobile pay software on your phone. You also need the credit card information--credit card #, expiration date, and three digit code on the backside of the card. That information is stored in secure servers in the cloud, not on your phone. So someone would need two pieces of information (or your finger or your face) and your unlocked phone to complete a transaction.

Compare that to someone that simply had your credit card information or the physical card in their possession.

I have used Samsung pay and need to set up google pay. I like the security (not only in accessing the "card", but the card number also changes each use).

I also like the instant receipt on the app.

I can't even learn this new computer well. I am not a tecky. So I will stick to paying bills by check and keeping the US mail running. I do use credit cards but not by a phone. Don't think I would know how to set it up to do it. Guess at my age, tech. is not my thing.

You mentioned changing to a Mac. My wife and son have iphones. I know they are simple but I use an android. I always get aggravated when they ask me to do anything except take a picture (I can do that).

Well, I did learn how to make folders and put things in them on the new mac. Still learning though. I even managed to transfer an old canning book from my old computer to the new one but haven't figured out how to get it to the folder. Guess that is a start. JonC, I also have an android. That's not working well right now. I also need a new cell phone.
