Why waste electrons posting strawman arguments to change the subject. Conditional election differs from "decisional salvation" No one puts themselves in Christ, it is done by God, 1 Corinthians 1:30. The action by God is called positional sanctification.

But in your theology the sinner determines.... if when where he allows this to happen.......you don’t see a problem with decesional salvation do you. ?

I've never heard of 'decisional' regeneration. I do not believe a man is able to regenerate himself, nor did I insinuate such a thing.

I do not think that any man can save himself, but I know that a man can believe in the Lord and be saved after believing - 1Cor 1:21.

Where does Scripture speak about those who believe and are not saved?

I assume you believe in the Lord. How do you know you are saved?

    Here is one example.

    John 2:23-24
23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. 24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,

    Demons believe and shudder.

19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.[James 2]

13 Even Simon himself believed; and after being baptized, he continued on with Philip, and as he observed signs and great miracles taking place, he was constantly amazed.[Acts of the Apostles 8:13]

20 But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money! 21 You have no part or portion in this matter, for your heart is not right before God. 22 Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven you. 23 For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity.”[Acts of the Apostles 8]

Simon Magus was said to have believed and was even baptized. Yet, later on, his wicked heart was exposed.

Then many believers left the Christ at the very end of John 6. The Christ asked His disciples, ”You do not want to go away also, do you?”[vs 67] Peter replied, ”Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God.”[vss 68,69]

Gregg, it says it was effectual in those who believed. This is quite significant when you compare Rom8:7, 1cor:2:14
To see that men apart from God cannot believe.Does that clarify it for you?

Did Jesus commit/entrust Himself to anyone?

In that Jesus did not then commit/entrust Himself to them does not mean that He either saved or did not save them at that time.

Jesus had not yet died for their sins, nor was He yet resurrected in order that they could be saved.

It was at work or operating in those already believing, not causing their initial belief before they were saved.

Who can believe apart from God, in that He is the object of our faith?

Are you asking if "people" before the Resurrection went to hell? Did you intend to ask if "believers" before the Resurrection went to Hell?

Your use of Jesus' being committed to someone is different that Jesus committing Himself in Jn 2:24.

in Jn 2:24 as commit/entrust them with a knowledge of who He is, verses His being committed/faithful to me.

"for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard my deposit until that day" (2Tim 1:12).

They had already believed so something is wrong.

Are you saying Jesus has to do something in order for men to believe ?

Does Acts 8 indicate whether Simon was saved or not saved? Can a saved man have wicked thoughts or lack full understanding of all matters after being saved?
