“He’s prepared to sign the bill, he will also be issuing a national emergency declaration at the same time,” McConnell said ahead of a Senate vote on a measure to keep the government running past the February 15 deadline.

The comprise measure keeps departments running through the fiscal year but without the $5.7 billion the president wanted for the border wall with Mexico.

He better gets all of the Republicans supporting him on this, as the Dems will scream that He is pulling a Hitler here, trying to be a dictator, and will go right to the liberal 9th court to get him stopped, and hope that the Chief Justice doesn't do the ole Roberts jellyfishing again!

I copy my post from another site,

    • That is dangerous. Hitler declared a state of emergency when he came to power, That allowed him do do as he pleased and carry out all his atrocities.

David, sorry I can't footnote it. But recently I came across an observation. Hitler was able to legally declare an emergency that suspended due process because of a section of the Weimar Republic's constitution. The US Constitution has no such section.

Thanks for your reply. Hitler was enabled to assume such power, as it was voted to him by the parliament, supported by the Catholic party, who then disbanded. Hitler never won an election.

Hitler never won an election because once he was named Chancellor and the Enabling Act was "passed" he never ran for election. He didn't need to run. However, the Nazi Party won the March 1933 elections by a plurality.

In all seriousness, I believe the Democrats are more evil than Hitler.

This I totally believe, and those who CONTINUE to support the dims - knowing their platforms - are either totally out of touch with reality, too naive to be voters, OR a part of this hellish mind-set!
All you have to do is peruse the dims platforms to see how anti "everything moral/common sense" they are! And they want to do it all on everybody else's money.

I firmly believe that after the rapture, the dims will have a signed blank check and will show Hitler how it "should have been done"!

The Republicans and the "Christian Right" have combined to redefine the gospel. This is far worse than anything else that could be done.

[Mat 7:20-23 KJV] 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Oh, please, Obama signed national emergencies. We have a different mechanism in operation here than what you are talking about, David Kent. Under May, you are much closer to a police state than we are. We are not calling you Germanic as much as we are calling you a good place to stay away from considering your high rates of murder in London under your Muslim Mayor.

If by your statement you mean that we have never subscribed to your liberal theology, you are correct but the Fundamentals of the Christian Faith have never changed.

The liberal press made it clear in their questions that they do not support the American people and that they oppose the wall because they want to dispute how much opioid is coming into the country, how much human trafficking is coming into the country, and how much crime is being committed by illegals, and how much welfare money is being spent on illegals.

On all these issues, the only thing that they say is that they don't care because it does not affect them personally and they like cheap labor. They want to exploit cheap foreign labor even if it only means a short term profit.

No I mean you revere the Republican party as much as you do Jesus.

Trump used cheap illegal immigrant labor to build his golf course and Trump Tower in NYC.

So what? How much cheap labor have you used to get votes for your party and how many illegals has your party voted. The Dems have exploited cheap illegal labor for personal and political profit more than any other group in the world. You force the poor into low-paid heavy labor and then dump them out on welfare after a few years when they are too sick to ever work again.

    Thanks for proving my point!!
Quoting this Scripture to, supposedly, rebut my comments, IMHO, puts you in either the 1st or 2nd category. I honestly do not believe you fit the last -could be wrong though - as you probably then would either reject, OR not even be aware of, the quoted Scripture.

And specifically what leads you to say that about “re-defining the Gospel”?
