That is ridiculous.

 

Yes we have too many murders, most of which seem to be teenagers on other teenagers with knives, or family involved murders, often by burning the holue of their ex down. If they could get guns, no doubt there would be many more.
There was a programme on TV recenly called Gun no 6. They said it had been used in 11 shootings and six murders. Although a number of the gunmen have been jailed, the gun has never been recovered. Because guns are hard to come by, they are passed round from criminal to criminal.

Okay, the OT is moot, signed sealed and delivered but there's just a couple of things here - first, it's easy to say the Christian Left is the one in apostasy, how in the world could a follower of Christ ever vote in lockstep with supporters of gay marriage, abortion throughout the pregnancy and past it on demand, cross-dressing men in the ladies' room, booing the mere mention of God at their national convention, and the like? Sheesh, we are commanded to help others, not have some jackboot government confiscate our wealth and dole it out to themselves and their followers under the threat of law.

CMG said the crime rate in London was high, and, well, it is but I think NYC will make a comeback and "win" this again. So you get shot at more if you're an American, Londoners get stabbed and often have acid thrown into their faces. Gun control isn't the answer, it's the population and their lack of morals and restraint that have more to do with it. I see there's finally a Jussie thread here. but there's been dozens of real-crime murders in Chicago since, and that place is gun control central.

 

Obama declared several emergency declarations, some of which are still in force. Other presidents from Carter to Clinton have done the same. The Republic will survive Trumps emergency declaration also.

 

And what is the level of stabbings and attacking people with acid I might ask? I would bet that the UK leads us in those two categories by a wide margin. Personally, I would rather get shot than have acid thrown in my face.

 

I am afraid President Trump got scammed by both the Republicans and Democrats on this bill. In a report in the Washington Post, Democrat leaders told their members not to gloat, as the Republican negotiators went right along with what the Democrats wanted.

I'm saying Trump is an all-out hypocrite. He has used illegal immigrants in violation of the law to build his enterprises but then claims they are all criminals and dangerous to America. BTW, I'm not in favor of having illegal immigrants in the U.S. Most of them do not come across the border illegally but rather were here legally (e.g. green card) but stayed past their deadline.

I'm in favor of treating these people legally and humanely. We need to have a consistently applied law to deal with these people.

In the USA blacks have a high rate of crime but whites do not.

 

The US has a murder rate 4 times that of the UK. I'm not talking about attitudes. I'm talking about people murdered.

 

I think the phrase is "the Mayor doesn't care." Either way it is not true.
