I was born in a poor area of south east London, not known for its grammar. When I was married my wife was a teacher as was her mother. I always got corrected when I said "We was" instead of "We Were"
There is an account of a London boy who tried unsuccessfully to stop him saying "We was" but when he was evacuated to a different pert of the country during the war. When he returned she had a problem with him saying "Uz be."

London has a murder epidemic and an incompetent Mayor but the Brits are too worried about image to tackle a crime wave or say that the Mayor is no good. What that means is that tourists should avoid the UK just as they already avoid Paris. If they hate Trump, they will hate average Americans, also.
