Problematic in many ways and does not promote freedom.

Not my own clever response, but below the article I found this:

O great government please protect me from that homeschool mom down the street who minds her business and has a bachelors degree in education. O yes in case you cared the school bus driver is a child porn liking pediphile, the preacher at church abused 3 boys, the teacher at school is sleeping with one of her students and my friends teen commited suicide after being cyberbullied repeatedly. America please vote for better representatives of our country than people whose best… is this. What a waste of time and money for Iowa.

A clear example of motes and beams.
In another one, several decades back, Maine's Dept. of Education and like-minded lawmakers went after homeschoolers, and shed crocodile tears over the very small proportion of the home-schooled who were ill-prepared while ignoring the far greater percentage of public-schooled kids equally unprepared.

Reminder for Chicken Little types that this Democrat legislator's bill is destined for the circular file:

    https://www.desmoinesregister.com/s...can-house-senate-governor-capitol/1732594002/

"When the Iowa Legislature convenes in January for its 2019 session, GOP lawmakers will hold a 54-46 margin over Democrats in the House and a 32-18 margin over Democrats in the Senate."

"Republicans retained control of the Iowa House and Senate in Tuesday’s election, giving them a firm grip on the state’s legislative agenda for the next two years."

"Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds’ victory over Democrat Fred Hubbell also means the GOP will retain its trifecta at the Iowa Capitol, holding majorities in both chambers of the Iowa Legislature and occupying the governor’s office."

A worthwhile reminder. It is also worth remembering that Democrats, despite being the donkey and not the elephant, always remember. What they bring up they will usually keep bringing up.
