Instead of a "complete denial of God's Prophetic Word", Preterism sees the fulfillment of God's Prophetic Word. You claim this perverts Revelation and Daniel based on nothing more than a "futurist" view. Your bias against Preterism is keeping you from an honest discussion here.

You started this thread with a simple question about the Religion of the Beast. Yet, you are unwilling to actually discuss this topic with those of us who have a different opinion.

Preterism is a fairly new false teaching originating about 1830. You are deranged if you think 1 Timothy 4 is talking about futurist. Really deranged.

Just think. If I do get banned for my hatred of Preterism, you and every Preterist on board would no longer have a thorn in your side.

Have you seen how they parade the montrance around in prosessions and worshipping it. Fr Charles Chiniquy calls the consecrated wafer, "le Bon Dieu, the good god." 50 years in the church of Rome .

I can remember seeing the film of Brother Ian Paisley standing in the Oxford Union and holding up a wafer and saying "This is the Catholic god".

I think that most members on here would disagree with you that the RCC is a true church. Perhaps you could start a poll on that?

I don't know of any bible believing Baptist Churhes, or evangelical churches, that would display a cross. Liberal ones will. Perhaps you could start a poll on that as well?

I suspect that US baptists may display them, but I don't know.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Preterist destroy eschatological discussions, and they are doing the same here. So as a blessing to all of you who are following in Satan's footsteps, I don't plan on being around very long.

Pretersim belongs in the abyss and is a teaching of the evil one. It's borderline Atheism. It bears NO truth and is precisely what Satan wants people to believe. It is an abomination.

Hey, I'll see all of you Preterist demons later.

    Bye folks!

Lol, it's been said that when we read the NT we're reading someone else's mail. This is literally true of the letters to the Churches and individuals.

Several Baptist churches in the Dallas / Ft Worth area have a cross either on top or prominently displayed on or around the front of the building.

I heard some say if what you claim is true, what is there for me?... PLENTY!... If you apply it right!!... Being a Christian in the 1st Century was no picnic... We are talking about the Birth Of The Church... Every HELL on earth was trying to keep that from happening... Look at in that context then may be you can understand it... Ignore it and you have some futuristic sci-fi production... Brother Glen:)

He came on here a Non-Baptist, and we were kind enough to help him change his status to Baptist... If I knew then he planned to come on here so he could sneak in the Baptist Forum and spout his rhetoric agenda, I would have kept him Non-Baptist... He just didn't want to play nice... Bye!!!... Brother Glen:)

With his prejudiced attitude toward anyone with a different view, all he really wanted was an "echo chamber". It became very obvious there was no interest in a genuine intellectual discussion.

You got that wrong. It was dispensationalism that came into the protestant church from the RCC in 1825-30

EB Elliott wrote a refutation of preterism and also of futurism in 1844-1846. He doesn't mention dispensationalism though as that was just beginning.

Yeah, like a totally PC inclusive nonjudgmental christianity, much like what you see in liberal christianity today, but with no restraints.

Actually, this “form of Christianity” is judgmental toward some, especially toward those who don’t support their political agendas, e.g., their hate-filled “social justice.”
