    The material in the accretion disc is traveling at a pretty high rate of speed, so it gets hot enough to emit some radiation.

    If I’m getting it right this pic came about through a process set up to use Artificial Intelligence to enable the creation of an algorithms which had been designed to construct this picture. Now I know how they can take a picture of something 50 million light years away…they feed in the "special" information and that data creates the picture they told it to create. Hmm,…
