Pastor Andy Webb wrote a poignant letter to Netflix after the company's CEO decided to donate to the ACLU so they can fight against Georgia's new heartbeat law. I am not a big believer in boycotts. You can only boycott so many things in life. However, the issue of abortion should be a no-brainer from Christians. If our entertainment dollars are being spent by a company that actively supports the national sin of infanticide, we need to consider whether we can continue to do business with such a company with a clear conscience.

It is hard for those in Hollywood, Netflix and Disney to understand, but there are some things in life that are more important than movies and money. Innocent babies are more important than anything Disney or Hollywood places value upon. Georgia will do just fine without Netflix or Disney or Hollywood actors. These celebrities and movie production companies think they are irreplaceable. In truth, they are simply irrelevant.

Yet they film in Muslim countries where women can be imprisoned for getting an abortion, & let’s not forget what these same countries do to gays, who are the darlings of the left, but, but, they still film there.......what??!! Are babies just not something they care about?
The great answer to this would be if the majority of states pass similar laws, & the morons will have put themselves in a box, which is what they deserve. They hired Susan Rice, then the Obamas, so....................I don’t need to boycott because I’ve never used them, or Facebook.
Target is donating to specifically educate children about LGBTQ. Of course I have not been to Target since their last grandstand on the issue. The bottom line is the only thing they will understand. Kelloggs paid the price, but like ESPN they will go through contortions to explain away their decline. Usually, they will come to the realization before they expire, but if not? Who cares.

Target stores donating $100,000 to promote gay lifestyle to school children

Well, can we do business with our government (pay taxes?) that supports/promotes a life philosophy of death and immorality (abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, eugenics, sexual perversion of several kinds, etc, etc, etc...)?

That is not voluntary spending. I don’t wish to lose my house, my property, my income, or be incarcerated over not having paid taxes. We make these choices about what the government should do when we vote. Doesn’t always turn out well when politicians lie to get elected, as in Justin Amash here in Michigan, but he will NOT be re-elected. All of the dims who cheer him now will not vote for him because he doesn’t have a D behind his name on the ballot. Of course you know all this, so I must be missing your point.

The difference is that we are commanded to submit to the governing authorities. We have the right to refuse to acquiesce to their demands if doing so causes us to violate God's law but that does not mean we are immune from the earthly consequences. Commerce is a different matter. Almost every major retailer and grocery store chain play both sides of the fence when it comes to politics. A few are dedicated ideologues one way or the other. Hobby Lobby and Chic-Fil-A on the Right and Starbucks and Disney on the Left are just some examples. If a Christian's conscience is provoked and they choose to boycott a company because of its policies, I respect their right to do so. Practically speaking, you can only boycott so many companies before you realize that mass boycotts are impractical. You can boycott your way into milking your own cow and growing your own food. That is not a viable option for most people.

IMHO Netflix and other Progressive media companies are taking their social/political agenda to the next level. They are actively contributing to the murder of unborn children. Think about the branding Disney likes to portray. Bob Iger would like everyone to think of Mickey Mouse welcoming children to the Magic Kingdom. Disney fiercely defends its wholesome image. Its brand is everything. I know the Mouse well. I have connections on the inside. Disney does not hesitate to take legal action against anyone who threatens its brand. Disney CEO Bob Iger recently said the company is considering a moratorium on filming motion pictures in Georgia because of its heartbeat law. How do you think Disney will react if some talented marketers are able to attack the company's brand as Mickey Mouse having one arm around a child while the other arm is holding a bloody abortion implement? Walt's version of his company is long gone. Today's Disney is all about quarterly profits and a strong annual report, i.e. the bottom line. That is the only thing that the company understands. Traditional families still make up the majority of theme park visitors in Disney World in Florida. What if theme park attendance starts to drop off by those traditional families? What if merchandising revenue take a hit? What if the Disney brand loses some of its luster? It may not be enough to put the company out of business but it can depress the company's stock price and put the company in a negative light.

Lastly, as Christians, we need to understand that, in the end, our efforts may be for naught. Society may be so far gone that there is nothing we can do to keep it from running off the cliff. All we can do is to continue being a light in a very dark world. God is not limited in what He can do with a small, faithful witness.

I never had Netflix and I thought that they paid Obama too much. I gave up on Disney when Eisner ran the place back in the last millennium. I quit Target, too, but I never shopped them much anyway. I cut the cable cord so I don't have ESPN anymore and never watched it anyway. I found other cereals besides Kellogg's. I gave up on Starbucks a couple of years ago.

So there is a streaming movie service but I don't think their catalogue is very extensive. They are family friendly (a new hate speech term) and mostly Christian movies. It is called Pure Flix. I don't have them either.

Here is the link in case you want to window shop them on the internet:

I understand where you are coming from.

As a young Christian the Holy Spirit made me aware that nothing coming out of Hollywood was good for me.

I believe the movie industry has done more to undermine the morals of our society than anything else. That is where it is relevant.

Gal 5:16 KJV - [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
1Jo 2:16 KJV - For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Most abortions are performed on unwed mothers. More emphases needs to be placed on prevention. Abstinence is the only wholesome preventive measure.

Yes even the movie industry calls itself Babylon but you can learn and yes even through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the word. You can learn the wiles of the world, the flesh and the devil if you can handle it.

Through the Spirit crucify your flesh and eyes. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.

don't be so sure Wesley, married women may outnumber unwed mothers.

One married woman (yes I know its only one but she may be typical) when I was in a ministry said she had to end her latest pregnancy to insure a better life for her other children.

Abortion Demographics – Who Has an Abortion? – Concerned Women for America
"FACT: Unmarried women account for about 85% of all abortions."

"FACT: One of the most surprising facts about abortion is that almost 60% of women obtaining an abortion have already given birth to one or more children! Only 40.3% abort their first child."

You and I agree. Regardless of the "FACTS", our society is committing a grave sin.

No. But it is obvious some people consider them wrong when the statics don't support their position.

My TV was on three times this year.... New Years, Easter, and Memorial Day, and only because I had family over.
