Then you can answer the questions previously asked:

    1) Who has made the claim that the Constitution has banned automatic weapons?

    2) Who has claimed Russia should protect the Second Amendment?

If you can show me who made those claims, it will demonstrate that you were not confused. Otherwise, I think the reality is clear.

By the way, here are a couple of the Russian videos I was originally referring to -- of which you claimed, "Baloney - fake hysterical news."

    Fully Automatic Glock Fun

    Glock 17 Explosive Ammo!

The NRA of 1934 didn't totally ban anything. It did mandate a rigorous licensing and expensive fee regime. Various and sundry states, however, have banned the private ownership of full auto capable firearms. As for the Russian full auto Glocks, they are in Russia, not the States. It looks like you've fallen for some Russian disinformatzia.

I wasn't speaking in technicalities. For the ordinary citizen, automatic weapons are illegal. It is effectively a ban.

Which was EXACTLY the what I said:

"You can see things like that on YouTube, mostly coming out of Russia."

The videos I referred to were created in (aka, "coming out of") Russia.

No, I think several here have misunderstood what I wrote.

I suppose so. You have demonstrated that you were thoroughly confuse and now you won't admit you were wrong. That's not an admirable trait.

But you have claimed to be a follower of Jesus. That should count for something. Humility is part of the package. And is grace. I'm going to leave it at that.

I wondered when the "Australia solution" would raise its unconstitutional head. Living in the sticks, I've less reason to be concerned about personal protection than most folks, but am an avid hunter. Reading Mr. Duby's screed illustrates that he and his fellow coalition members either know little about hunting or have ignored reality in order to come to their conclusions. My current deer rifle is a 1964 model Remington 76 pump in .30-06, but there are millions of that weapon's sister rifle, 74s/742s, that are semi-autos and many/most manufacturers for centerfire rifles offer models in semi-auto. How many million 10-.22 rimfire semi-autos are out there?

Why that particular firearm ... why did he convert it to a automatic? Then how much recoil did you have?

I believe fully automatic firearms can still be bought - guns already in circulation, not new ones. Of course the Federal licensing requirements still must be adhered to.

As I just posted, even for ordinary citizens fully automatic firearms are still available, though they are very expensive.

For a "banned weapon" there sure are a lot of people shooting automatic firearms on Youtube...

Don't know what my BIL and son saw in that .45 - both multi-term Navy vets who got a kick out of doing things like that.
Lots of recoil. In the barn I ended up shooting into the loft.

Why don't we strengthen gun control in a rational manner one step at a time. Even the IRA and most gun owners support stronger background check. Just because the speed laws are strengthened and enforced doesn't mean our right to drive a car will be taken away. That's how wrong this argument of yours is.

If you come to New Jersey you will find that it’s the criminals who have all the guns and use them on the citizens to rob, maim and kill. Your protection is to call the cops (after the fact).
