“Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:19–21 (NASB95)

Jesus would be a human shield as I hope true of me too. But killing enemies is not part of our calling. And if we reject his teaching and kill on behalf of our family, we already placed them above God's word. I would rather take a bullet for Jesus than to lay around a nursing home dying of old age because I disobeyed and killed my enemy. Wouldn't you?

Look the more you try the more you discredit yourself. Protecting your family is not revenge. If you do not know what revenge is then go find a dictionary. Your position has been thoroughly debunked

But killing enemies is not your calling. Not killing them is.

This statement is misleading. Your heresy is debunked. Nough said.

Didn't want to say it, but have to agree. What a dangerous concept.

"God wants me to sacrifice my children like Abraham did with Isaac. And hey, they'll either go to heaven or suffer less in hell because they died young!"

That is cringeworthy heretical. That is a cult.

Where does Jesus tell you to fight back and kill? He teaches just the opposite.

You are missing the point of loving God more than family. This is basic Christianity.

Loving God is obeying God and protecting your family, with the sword if necessary. You want to martyr yourself, that's your right, might even be noble is some circumstances. Sacrificing your family cowardly and hateful.

It takes more guts to go unarmed into harms way like Jesus than to cower behind a weapon.

Again you need to study your bible. How many times did Jesus not go into harms way when they were after Him? Second, What Jesus did in that regards is not for us unless you believe you are going to the cross to save man. That was His reason. There is a difference between going out after your enemy and protecting your self and your family when they have come after you. Do not conflate the two. A man who will not protect his family is shameful and worse than a lost person according to scripture.

Follow the Sermon on the Mount. It is the doctrine of Christ. John says those who don't have the doctrine of Christ don't have God.

Hmmm. But you said you'd call the police. Now you say that would be cowardly since the police have weapons. You keep changing your story. Would you call the police, knowing you'd be "cowardly" hiding behind them and their weapons? I'm just following your logic.

It doesn't actually, to protect another person who is innocent. Armed or not, if you stand by and watch an innocent murdered, when you could have done something, that is cowardice.

To do something is brave, weapon or not.
