    I was thinking with the year-around weather not changing much, all the locals would be well acclimated. Of course, humid is bad.

    When you say education, though, you really mean formal education. But I would argue that formal education doesn't even guarantee education. It often results only in indoctrination.

    This might be because formal education is replacing discipleship, which is the biblical path to education.

    Bad Pastors and churches are the best......Then you really got to have Faith in God to keep going.

    Many great pastors went to seminary. It is my personal belief that they are great pastors in spite of seminary, not because of it. A great pastor loves and serves people. Seminary teaches one to value knowledge more than people. The doctrines we need to be good Christians and good evangelists are simple.

    I think it depends on the seminary. You can't just lump them all together.

    Most of the ones I have experience with are SouthEastern,or New Orleans, and Southern. Southern are the worst ones.

    My old pastor had the air of the old Methodist as in the story told here. Pictured below is farmer I would work for in the hay field... Dallas was like the circuit rider and uncle told in the story below.

    I miss my old pastors ministry

    Dallas would shout at work, shout in the hay field, and shout in church. He would also run the aisles. He and his wife would operate a dairy farm and he would also work at the local ammunition plant. A very large soul his shouting would ring through the building. In the altar services he would kneel behind me in prayer and tears would roll off his cheek and onto my shoulders. A wonderfully large soul. Along with Dallas there were many others like him who would let the praises roll during church service. During the altar service old Evans Linkous used to weep like a baby. And if he were to look back to catch the amazed look in my eye he would weep, "The Holy Ghost! The Holy Ghost!" And point to all the souls being blessed around the altar. After I experienced these things for myself the people would make a fuss, or in the words of the Apostle Paul, glorify God in me. One day, after a beautiful autumnal week of beautiful Virginia fall and revival I lay on my bed with open door, listening to the Katydids sing their praises to God, reading Run Baby Run, with fireflies lighting up the mountain as they would fly, and heard the Spirit ask... "Put the book down" and then continue, "Where is all that hatred, strife, and bad feeling?" In which examining my eternal man there was nothing there but sheer beauty. I thought to myself... Oh my! I got exactly what those folks got!

    You can sense if you read the GC Rankin story, of the Methodist revivals dissipating away as he came to age as a preacher. This can also be said as true in my life, I have sensed the revivals coming to an end in my lifetime. The passion of the events just described are no longer there.

    Old Dallas, pictured above, would encourage me as a young man to stay in revival. The last words I remembered him saying before he died was there were no more revivals! It is amazing to me that for all the education preachers have lost the art of good revival! Our old pastor would have many revivals and was on the lookout for good evangelist. Now I cannot remember the last good revival!

    Baptist... The closest thing the Baptist Church comes to revival is in their Christian conferences. I believe there is equal danger of losing the ability to put together quality Christian conference. Just as our church lost the ability to put together quality revival. In which the Apostle Paul would say...

    Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. - Hebrews 10:25

    Many Baptist churches still do tent meetings. But what is telling is that you think there will be a revival just because you put one on the calendar....

    There is heresy in non educated pastors.

    There is heresy in eduacted/ Bible Trained Pastors

    I think that is key. By the way, a preacher should not necessarily be judged by how dynamic he is but rather by what he says. Look at Jonathan Edwards.

    Case in point. Lakewood's pastor never went to seminary. Actually never even graduated with a BA from Oral Roberts University.

    A fine preacher/teacher with a doctorate was Dr. J. Vernon McGee. Another was Dr. D. James Kennedy.

    However, thing is with seminaries, the students are being taught by men, insteada directly by the Holy Spirit. Now, while He may have empowered some seminary teachers to teach the truth, the WISE seminary student prayerfully checks the teacher's the teacher's material against his own Bible to make sure he's being taught ACCURATELY.

    Thus said the Lord through the prophet Isaiah:
    Isaiah 56:v.8-12

    8 The Lord God, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
    9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

    10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant,     they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

    11     Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

    12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant    .


    What will be the punishments of the dogs? I say: of the Pastors or shepherds? Yeah, what will be the punishments of the Pastors?

    JESUS answers this question. Revelation 22:v.15

    15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

    What JESUS said above by the book Revelation will fulfil LITERALLY

    Be careful:

    Philippians 3:v.2
    2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
