You actually believe that this is speaking about the men and women of today? Not just those before the flood who had no Law. One thing that is guaranteed is with out the Law of God man would be the most vial ever. The Law taught men right from wrong. Before the flood men had nothing but there conscience and it did little to nothing because they had no guide lines. The Law is a path to righteousness.

Don't you know, MB? According to the Calvinist, that verse in Genesis 6:5 does apply to us. But this passage in Genesis 4 DOES NOT apply:

6 So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

As every Calvinist knows, men are walking dead spiritual corpses and cannot "rule over sin".

So they pick and choose the verses that fit their theology.

I will go with Genesis 4 and every Word of it, every day.

Nothing there that does not apply to everyone,
    as much as Genesis 6:5.

Is some Offer Being Made by God, by which Cain will 'be accepted'?

Have you ever thought about what that Offer is?

    ...

    God Says to Cain,

"If you do well, will you not be accepted?"

Is there something you can say
that you believe that God is Saying that Cain can do?
    ...

What is it that Cain could do, to be "
    accepted"?

    ...

    God Says to Cain,

"If you do well, will you not be accepted?"

what, in your mind, do you believe God Meant,
    by "accepted"?

    "Accepted", in what way?

    "Accepted" for what"?

    ...

I won't ask for an example of any of this, but you are allowed to quote Calvin, in the future, when you state someone is a Calvinist, etc.

I've never read his stuff, other than a couple of sentances on the Board, here.

    Have you?

    ...

Genesis 6:5 is God's Characterization and Revelation
of the Natural State of the soul, of all children of Adam, including Cain.

How do you make this Definition, by God, of all Human Beings' souls,
consistent with the Genesis 4 passage?

"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,
and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

    ...

    BTW, God Wrote The Bible.

    ...

Then accuse us of taking scripture out of context. The more I discuss scripture with them the more I think of Jehovah's witnesses and there similarities with each other. They both agree on how to interpret scripture. That is the way they wish it to be.

It's speaking about the nature of man. We haven't changed. God's judgment will once again fall. Are you prepared?

No. He didn't, and the Bible itself tells you he didn't.

Let's look at Eph. 1:1 for instance:
Eph 1:1 - Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

    Who wrote this?

You're fine with God Supremely deciding the fate of every part of His creation. God determines if he will or will not draw a human to Him. God determines if he will or will not adopt a person. God determines if he will or will not give a human the gift of faith. God determines...
    Nothing about that bothers you.

What does that mean? It sounds like religious speak.

He's already answered you. He said, "absolutely nothing." I'm sorry if you can't understand it.

I do understand. I question the validity of claims that say "nothing."
I know that everyday my human nature fights against the Supremacy of God. My nature wants to be in control and have authority over my life, with God acting as an advisor and genie.
In my spirit, I want God to be Supreme. In my flesh, I want to direct my own path. It's a classic Romans 7 & 8 situation.

Who cares what you question? Who is it you think you are? As I said to someone else, posts like these are the reason for so much contention. Take people at their word and move on. Go mow your lawn or something.

No no you said "I question the validity of claims that say "nothing." These are people who are not just sharing opinion they are telling everyone exactly what they have decided about themselves. When someone says they are not bothered about the supremacy of God that is not an opinion it is a fact and it is not your place to tell someone anything else. You cannot read minds and you do not know anyone on this board better then they know themselves. You post wreaks of arrogance and unnecessary contention. You need to get a life away from this board and go experience real life. Your "opinion" and view of these things is not all that there is.

Absolutely nothing about God's sovereignty, or anything else you call it, bothers me.

You mention "His creation." You answered your own question. Creation is "His."

What bothers us is the sanctimoniousness of our Calvinist brethren and their friend-of-Job like pretentious "I for Christ", person-of-God-accepting [read "suck-up false humility" in a modern rendering of the "archaic" KJB] attitude.
But we love you guys anyway :)
