The 4th Commandment is to the Hebrews from Moses to Jesus, not for us

You do know that by using the internet on the Sabbath, you are breaking the Sabbath by making others work on the Sabbath.

I’ll leave you to finding some SDAs to to stone you to death on Sunday.

I had a knowledge of truth anyway from reading/believing the Bible, free of man-made wrong private interps of it. Unlike you, I rely on the HOLY SPIRIT, not the garbage written by Mrs. White.

I posted pertinent Scripture showing Sabbaths no longer mattered, & that most early Christians, including many Jews, met for worship on Sundays. But you choose to believe Mrs. White over plain Biblical intel.

Paul wrote what he did, based upon info provided to him by GOD, not stuff he made up or heard from someone else. Remember, he & the other apostles had PRAYED about the matter of gentile Christians being required to follow Jewish customs & practices, so his writings weren't random.

But since you choose to follow Mrs. White insteada the HOLY SPIRIT'S teaching, that's between you and GOD. Meanwhile, I & others will continue to counter your hooey lest some newer Christians get caught up in it.

As I told danthemailman, I counter his garbage only for the sakes of newer believers who are liable to fall for it.

Still conjecturing how the Seven-Day-Adlibbers would act if Mrs. White had said to worship on Sundays.

Please tell the truth. You have not counted this OP with a single scripture. Or have you provided as single scripture that answers a single question in the OP. Let's be honest now please. If you have scripture share it if you do not than why pretend that you do? I will leave that one between you and God to work out.

But what have you countered? What scripture have you provided in this OP that answers a single question here? Where is the scripture that says God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? If you have no scripture why do you pretend that you have? Does it not worry you that you have no scripture for following your tradition when JESUS says all those who follow man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9?

What pertinant scripture have you posted? That is right not a single one. What scripture have you posted that addressed a single question in this OP? Thats wright not a single one. If you have not posted a single scripture that has addressed a single question posed in this OP why are you pretending that you have? I will leave that between you and God and for others to read.

The "CONTEXT" is ROMANS 2:12-13 [12], For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; [13], For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

There was NO Israel and NO JEW and NO SIN and NO BOOK when God' made the "SABBATH" for all mankind on the "SEVENTH DAY of the creation week *GENESIS 2:1-3. If you believe that the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH has not been done away with and it is one of God's 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sinis when broken why do you not keep it like God asks you to?

Indeed. Something we can agree on. So if God's 4th Commandment has not been abolished and we are not commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day, than this practice is a man made teaching and tradition that breaks the commandments of God. JESUS tells us in his Words that all who knowingly follow man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9. How should we then believe and follow. God's WORD of the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God?

God's WORD says "IN TIMES OF THIS IGNORNACE" God winks at but when he gives us a "KNOWLEDGE" of the truth, calls all men everywhere to "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW" His Word *ACTS 17:30-31. If we "SIN WILLFULLY" after we receive as "KNOWLEDGE" of the truth, there remians no more sacrifice for sin but a fearful looking foward to of the judgment to come *HEBREWS 10:26-39.

May you receive God's WORD and be blessed.

    WRONG!
Hebrews 4:10 does not say JESUS is a SABBATH now does it? "HIS REST" is defined in HEBREWS 4:1-5 as the "SEVENTH DAY SABBATH" made from the foundation of the world than continues on to...HEBREWS 4:9 It remains therefore for the people of God to keep the Sabbath

This “SABBATISMOS” rest found in Hebrews 4:9 is the believers perpetual, spiritual rest found in Christ in contrast to the keeping the weekly sabbath under the Mosaic law. Let me know when you’re ready to repent and believe the gospel so you too can find this sabbatismos rest in Christ.

You have only providing something outside of the bible to support a man made teaching and tradition that has lead many to break God's 4th commandment today. Where is the scripture that says God's 4th Commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? Thats right there is none or you would not be looking outsite of God's Word for an answer. Does this not worry you when JESUS says all those who 'KNOWINGLY" follow man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God commit sin and are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9; ROMANS 3:4; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20. If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin *JAMES 2:10-11. If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (HEBREWS 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT and to BELIEVE and FOLLOW his Word ACTS 17:30-31.

    WRONG!

The CONTEXT of HEBREWS 4:9 is HEBREWS 4:1-9 that defines "GOD'S REST" as the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH of "CREATION and HEBREWS 3 and HEBREWS 4 is stating that no one enters "GOD'S REST" which is defined as the "SEVENTH DAY SABBATH AT CREATION" in HEBREWS 4:1-5 without first entering the "GOSPEL" rest of believing and following Gods WORD v2. This is the "CONTEXT" to HEBREWS 4:9

Now that we have established the "CONTEXT" of HEBREWS 4:9 and allowed God's WORD to define what is "GOD'S REST" lets continue...

HEBREWS 4:9 [9], SO THEN IT REMAINS FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD TO KEEP THE SABBATH (σαββατισμός sabbatismos).

    or parrallel..

HEBREWS 4:9 [9],THERE REMAINS THEN A SABBATH REST (σαββατισμός sabbatismos) FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD

Now notice Hebrews 4, verse 9: “There remains therefore a SABBATH rest to the people of God.” In verses 1, 3, 4 and 8, the Greek word for “rest” is katapausin. It means “rest.” But in verse 9, the Greek word for “rest” is sabbatismos, which is a Hebrew word—Sabbat, which means “the Sabbath”—combined with a Greek suffix—ismos, which means “a keeping of” or “a doing of.” Put together, sabbatismo means “a keeping of the Sabbath.” When correctly translated, Hebrews 4:9 should read, “There remains therefore a keeping of the Sabbath to the people of God.”

    Strong's Concordance
    sabbatismos: a sabbath rest
    Original Word: σαββατισμός, οῦ, ὁ
    Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
    Transliteration:sabbatismos
    Phonetic Spelling: (sab-bat-is-mos')
    Definition: a sabbath rest
Usage: a keeping of the Sabbath, a Sabbath rest.

    Thayer's Greek Lexicon
    STRONGS NT 4520: σαββατισμός
    σαββατισμός, σαββατισμου, ὁ (σαββατίζω to keep the sabbath);
    1. a keeping sabbath.
    2. the blessed rest from toils and troubles looked for in the age to come by the true worshippers of God and true Christians (R. V. sabbath rest): Hebrews 4:9. (Plutarch, de superstit. c. 3; ecclesiastical writings.)

    (Source: Bible Hub linked)

    ............

The translation for "Keeping Sabbath" comes from the Greek word that is used in Hebrews 4:9, σαββατισμός, pronounced sabbatismos, which is a noun form that means Sabbath rest, Sabbath (keeping) observance (Arndt and Gingrich, A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament).

This definition of the Greek word σαββατισμός sabbatismos is confirmed by other historical works: The words 'keeping sabbath' or sabbath rest is translated from the GK noun sabbatismos, [and is] a unique word in the NT.

This term appears also in Plutarch (Superset. 3 [Moralia 166a]) for sabbath observance or keeping, and in four post-canonical Christian writings which are not dependent on Heb. 4:9 (The Anchor Bible Dictionary, Vol. 5, p. 856).

The Greek word, σαββατισμός sabbatismos, is a noun. The verb form of the word is σαββατίζω sabbatizo, which means to keep the Sabbath (Arndt and Gingrich, A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament).

This definition of σαββατίζω Sabbatizo is confirmed by its use in the Septuagint, a Greek translation of the Old Testament which dates from third century BC. It is called the Septuagint, meaning Seventy because the first five books were translated by seventy scholars who were Greek-speaking Jews in Alexandria, Egypt. Jews used the Septuagint in synagogues throughout the Roman empire, and by the Greek-speaking Jewish and Gentile coverts in the early New Testament church. The apostle Paul quotes extensively from the Septuagint in his epistle to the Hebrews. When Paul used the Greek word σαββατισμός sabbatismos in Hebrews 4:9, he knew that the meaning of this word was well known to the Greek-speaking believers of that day. The verb form σαββατίζω, sabbatizo was used in the Septuagint which was as familiar to the Greek-speaking Jews and Gentiles of New Testament times as the King James Bible is to Christians today.

The use of the verb σαββατίζω sabbatizo in Leviticus 23:32 in the Septuagint leaves no room to mistake its meaning. The Greek English Lexicon of the Septuagint defines σαββατίζω sabbatizo as to keep sabbath, to rest (Lust, Eynikel, Hauspie). The English translation of this verse in the Septuagint reads: It [the Day of Atonement] shall be a holy sabbath [literally, a Sabbath of Sabbaths] to you; and ye shall humble your souls, from the ninth day of the month: from evening to evening shall ye keep your sabbaths (The Septuagint With the Apocrypha, Brenton).

The phrase shall ye keep your sabbaths is translated from the Greek phrase σαββατιείτε τα σάββατα sabbatieite ta sabbata, which literally means, You shall sabbathize the Sabbaths. The form of the Greek verb σαββατίζω sabbatizo is the second person plural σαββατιείτε sabbatieite, which means, ye shall keep. Since the verb sabbathize, means to keep the Sabbath, this verb is a special verb that also relates to and defines Sabbath-keeping, for God’s command for the land Sabbath every seven years. In the entire Septuagint, the verb σαββατίζω sabbatizo is never used to define the keeping of anything else. Rather, it is always used in relation to Sabbath-keeping and Sabbath-keeping only. In keeping with this definition, the KJV translates σαββατιείτε sabbatieite, this way: shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

There is no question that the Greek verb σαββατίζω sabbatizo in Leviticus 23:32 is specifically referring to Sabbath observance. This meaning applies equally to the noun form σαββατισμός sabbatismos, which we find in Paul’s epistle to Hebrews. The fact that Paul used the Septuagint translation in this epistle confirms that the meaning word σαββατισμός sabbatismos, in Hebrews 4:9, is in complete accord with the meaning of σαββατιείτε τα σάββατα sabbatieite ta sabbata, in Leviticus 23:32. Clearly Paul is upholding the observance of the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week.

And there you have it. Clearly, the Sabbath is still very much valid today, and to say that we no longer have to keep it holy, because Jesus is our Sabbath rest, is dangerous and foolish and is simply not biblical as the only definition of God's 4th commandment "SABBATH" is "THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK" *Exodus 20:10; Matthew 12:8.

Sorry friend God's WORD disagrees with you. May you receive God's WORD and be blessed.

You have only been provided God's WORD from both the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT scripture. In response you are only providing your words brother which are not God's WORD. What is is that I have shared here with you from God's WORD that is not the truth? If I have only shared the truth with you why do you not believe it? Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it. According to JESUS if we do not believe and follow God's WORD we are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9; JOHN 10:1-10; JOHN 10:26-27; MATTHEW 7:22-26; 1 JOHN 2:3-4
