I seem to draw fire on any forum as a Calvinist. It comes out in the gospel I present. And my rebuttals of the free will claims of others. In churches it's always ended in anti Calvinist sermons based on something I said the week before it seems. "We are not automatons". "God did not create robots" and so on.

I don't know anything about or care anything about it. That's the first that I have ever heard of it.

The Board is my first exposure to the ways that people and religions have so precious little use for God or The Bible, at all.

I did know that when I saw this version of a verse that was alleged to represent a Bible verse that I wasn't seeing a 'translation'.

    A 'translation' makes sense.

    That is a rule.

The other verses contridict this pure writing of a human, apart from God, or a consideration for the text to make any sense, whatsoever.

Yes, I've seen the scathing reviews of other 'versions' that later come out with corrections.

Comparison is how God's people work in the Holy Spirit's Preservation of God's Word.

The fact that there are verses like this one that are so obviously intentional in their denial of God's Message to Mankind is not lost on me, even though they are forced to 'correct' their incompetence.

Lo and behold, that incompetence just happens to be in specific denials of The Attributes of, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Remember the 'prophecy' in the ASV that predicted as 'young girl' would conceive a child?

They changed it back to something that could 'make sense', AS A SIGN, like a 'virgin' (?), but 3 'versions', in this list still have, "a young woman".

There is a chart in Thompson Chain that shows the sources for various translations, or versions, and 'The Modern Bibles' all go back and pull junk from junk texts.

No other reason except to 'support' error.

I see it as Spurious, just by reading that verse.

    That is not The Bible.

The words "Adam fell" are not in the Bible (even the KJV) and even if they were,

"Adam fell" does not equal "God Made many Hellbound human beings Righteous, by Choosing them from Eternity Past by The Pleasure of His Own Will"

It certainly matters, or you wouldn't have brought it up. I welcome reading the thoughts of my brothers and sisters, regardless of skin pigmentation. Please refer me to African American scholars who would be well qualified to the task of biblical translation from original languages to English.
One of the early colonists that I admire is Phyllis Wheatley. Her poetry is wonderful. I have read that she learned Greek and Hebrew by age 13 and read the scriptures in the original language. I welcome scholars of any cultural background to do the work of translation.
    Bless you

    No, thanks for asking.

I understand they are 'a thing'.

And I look for sympathizing with people about 1%, probably, that are caught up into any 'thing' like that. Somehow I am kidding about the condescending 'sympathizing' word and the 1%.

I lean way over toward speaking for God, for His Glory, and to not see Him disdained, but ALSO BECAUSE I see and believe a bunch of things that He Has Brought me to THAT ARE AND WOULD BE ALL POSITIVE AND A TREMENDOUS BLESSING, I believe, for anyone giving God a break and considering their possibility for WORSHIPPING GOD.

Just like you would say, "God Chose His Elect".

That is so anti-flesh and GOD-HONORING!

I like seeing people WORSHIP GOD.

    ...

Anyway, would you do me a favor and write a Bible in English?

What Modern Reader, just coming to God's Word can Be Blessed with 'discomfitted' and 'thou', 'thee', 'shall', and 'that which shall let, shall let'?

You know. Of course, they Eternally can be, but there is a process of interpreting or learning terminology that is extra.

Eliminating that extra process is to be despised?

To what I was saying, above, Worshipping God needs to be Encouraged and Facilitated.

This is the chart I was talking about.

It's down the page a little.

When The Jehovah's Absolutely False Witnesses' "Bible" has the errors in it that mirror those that have been included in many "Modern Bibles", that is not The Work of God.

Satan has been messing with our versions and using enemies of God, so how is their carnal thinking supposed to give us a good version?

It is NICE to be able to read our current language, but the killer is the death in the pot.

    ...

The Doctrine I hold is The Preservation of The Inspiration.

The concept of 'inerrancy' is what?

Can't we see Jesus and The Apostles Quoting The Old Testament? Do they 'get it right'?

    Of course.

Do they use the same Words as The Prophets?

    No.

    How is that?

Inspiration doesn't always follow in the same tracks.

    I forget who said that.

Does, "Do Not Murder" mean, "Do Not Kill"?

Do they both mean, "Thou Shalt Not Kill"?

    Ah, yeah.

What about, if I could see Moses' stones with that written on there in Hebrew, or whatever.

    Would that be "Inspired"? Yes.

    Are the other three? Yes.

    ...
So, did "Inspiration" leave to somewhere, because I only use Hebrew and don't speak it and can't see the Orginal Stone God Wrote on?

    Not in my mind.

I believe that The Bible is Inspired.

That Inspiration Has Been Preserved, by The Superintendence of The Holy Spirit.

    ...

    In the example of Romans 5:18;

"Therefore as by the offense of one
    judgment came upon all men to condemnation;

even so by the righteousness of one
the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life."

...is it Grammatically, Historically, and Contextually "POSSIBLE", to understand this, as God Saying,

"even so by the righteousness of one
the free gift came upon all"

(types and kinds of men, such as The Gentiles and not just The Jews, which includes what God is Saying, as "all")

    "men unto justification of life."

    Yes, you know that.

    ...

Can the verse say this, Grammatically, Historically, and Contextually, by The "Inspiration of God"?

"Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone."

    No.

Can the verse say this, if Satan is doing the talking?

    Yes.

That is what trash cans are for.

    Worthless items.

The NET Bible, the JPS Tanakh 1917, and the Good News. Only one of these has really been used.

That being said there are far more errors in the KJV. In addition, the KJV is basically the bible most people buy to not read. Handing someone who knows nothing about Jesus a KJB is the same as telling them "Go to Hell".

If believing in election and Doctrines of Grace makes one a Calvinist then belonging to sacramental churches makes one a Catholic.

I may not agree with all your interpretations of scripture David, but I respect you as a true believer who struggles with learning the correct path. It’s all good!:Thumbsup

    Oh, yes!

    This is what you want!

The concept is, "human beings are sinners".

No sin is going to Heaven.

    God Runs Heaven.

    ...

IF God Did Not Choose to Save, by His Eternal Plan, ALL human beings would go to Hell.

That's where you want to get.

That is The Message of The Bible.

I do too. What an amazing life God provided to the Northeast colonies and Boston. How fun to sit with the saints, our mentors in Christ.
