Second reply; The Church is Israel. You can call it a tree, but it is Israel. God removed the unbelievers from Israel. Any who accept Christ are reattached.

“And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.” Romans 11:23 (KJV 1900)

    IMPORTANT:

“Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brethren; to Him you shall give heed to everything He says to you. ‘And it will be that every soul that does not heed that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’Acts 3:22–23 (NASB95)

“remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.” Ephesians 2:12 (NASB95)

The Church is SPIRITUAL Israel. The Jews & other of Jacob's descendants are PHYSICAL Israel, plain-n-simple. And obviously, they're still full of unbelievers. However, Paul said they could be grafted into God's kingdom all-the-more-readily.

Your denial of physical Israel is ridiculously-false in the face of Scripture. As I said, you seemta believe only those passages which suit you.

There is no Physical Israel in the biblical sense. God has only ONE people Israel in Christ. Believers aka the Church.

“Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:” Ephesians 2:11–16 (KJV 1900)

How can Israel and Christian be the same? That doesn't make sense. If Iran is planning on nuking Israel, that means the country and not Christianity, right? I am a gentile and always will be. The ground at the cross is level. Period.

The State of Israel is not biblical Israel. They think they are and claim the title. They come from the Pharisees who escaped the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. They exist solely because of their hatred and rejection of Christ, aka Antichrists according to John. Because they deny Jesus came in the flesh.

When Jesus abolished circumcision on the cross, nothing remained to make one a physical member of Israel, or a physical biblical Jew. Today's "Jews" are gentiles who practice Talmudic Judaism which Jesus condemned as practicing the traditions instead of obeying Moses.

    Thanks!

I don't see the point of saying that today's Jerusalem and Israel are not the Biblical one since the I know Scripture is complete. The Romans destroyed Israel in 70 AD and dispersed the Jews into slavery so that with the subsequent fall of Rome for their perfidy against the Jews, time led the Jews throughout the gentile world and rendered Israel as a wilderness wasteland.

No matter what you yourself call them, they still have a rendezvous with destiny because they are the chosen people, the prodigal son. Ezekiel 20:34-45 says God is going to bring them together from all of the nations and talk to them face-to-face. God has called them from the 4 corners of the earth and placed them right back where they started and He is going to open up a pool to clean them up to make them see what they have done and how they cannot run away. God is not going to break his promise which not only was given to Abraham but even Adam and Eve were not abandoned after their sin, as you know.

Jerusalem is a cup of trembling.

Jews and gentiles have not traded places. There is more to being a Jew than circumcision. God brought the dispersed Jews back to the wilderness of modern day Israel in 1948 after the Germans tried to murder everyone of them and then Stalin was embarking on the same course when he dropped dead. Then the Muslims attacked Israel.

Replacement theology overlooks the fact that God is going to bring the Jews back to the promised land and straighten them out and clean them up. If gentiles think that they want to be dispersed to the heathen, they are mucho loco because are only grafted in.

These are not biblical Jews. They are gentiles some of whom come to Christ and become reattached to Israel. Your main hindrance is in not defining OT terms with NT definitions. For instants the Temple = Jesus and believers in the NT. Israel = Jesus and believers in the NT. Armageddon = the attack on the Church by Satan when loosed from being bound. And so on.

I already told you that the modern Jews are not like the Old Testament Jews. I don't know what you are saying exactly by that point.

Don't you concede that after 70 AD there was a diaspora of Jews throughout the world and out of Israel forced by the nazi-like Romans? And I agree that many Jews, especially in America are just leftist secularist and not much account.

I don't see how you can say that the Jews who escaped the holocaust, where Jews were murdered for being Jews, and then were brought back to the promised land by God are not Jews since the Germans clearly identified them as Jews. Who do you say died in the holocaust if not Jews?

And how do you define this OT verse? Ezekiel 20:34-35 (KJV) And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

Now you are wrong about the Temple because the veil was torn into two sections and the Temple is null and void and Christians do not go to Temples but Churches, so I do not understand you there at all.

Armageddon is defined in the NT very clearly and it is not an attack on the church at all. It is a specific place in Israel, which is not a Christian country. Revelation 16:16 (KJV) And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Circumcision made one a biblical Jew. When Christ abolished it, he removed all unbelieving physical Jews from Israel. They became gentiles and Jews in name only. The real Israel accepted Christ and remained as spiritual Israel. The broken off exist because of their rejection and hatred of Christ. They are under God's wrath until the end of the world. Any of them who accept Christ are saved along with other gentiles, being grafted into Biblical Israel, Christ and the Church.

I'm about done with you. You're a hopeless reprobate far as man is concerned. Only the HOLY SPIRIT can remove the apostate garbage from your mind.

I, and others , have patientlyshown you Scripture and history PROVING the Jewish people of today are Israelis, and that God has promised to restore both physical Judah & Israel. But yet you still insist they're not Israelis !

I'm gonna leave you to waller in your own monkeyshines for awhile.

I have clearly disagreed with 1689Dave on the issue in question, so I'm not trying to defend his position.

I think you have taken the rhetoric a bit far.

Jews in nazi Germany were blamed for real or imagined exploitation of the German people. They identified as Jews, but that doesn't make them the same as the Circumcision in the Bible who had faith in God and no scripture but the Old Testament.

If God was going to restore biblical-national Israel, he would have said so in the New Testament. Ezekiel prophesied during the Babylonia captivity. Everyone hearing his prophesies at the time would have taken Ezekiel to mean that God would restore them from captivity. God kept his word and did that in the 6th century BC. That's a literal fulfillment, and it was contingent on the Jews turning to God. Christians also see a spiritual fulfillment in the establishment of the church in the First Century AD, where God's people across time and space have been gathered together. But, to claim that the modern, faithless state of Israel is a fulfillment of prophecy is pure nonsense.

At the risk of stating the obvious, people gathering for war at Armageddon is not the restoring of Israel. Post again on this topic when we see three frog spirits come out of the mouths of the beast and false prophet and pointlessly gather on Megiddo hill.

Today's Jews are the descendants of "the circumcision", even though most of 'em reject their Messiah.

Remember, God told Zeke the dry bones represented the WHOLE House of Israel, not just the Jews. So far, He has restored only most of the Jews to their own land, & none of the rest of Israel.

And "Armageddon" will be where the antichrist's army comes to try to fight against the returned Jesus. Won't muchuva battle, as Jesus will destroy that army with His spoken word, while casting the antichrist & the false prophet alive into the lake of fire.
