Why is it libs are just plain ignoring this history to.include recent history with Iran. We should have done this after they had our service members on their knees at sea.

Now the far left media , i.e. nbc, abc, cbs, msnbc, cnn, etc. Are repeating Irans propoganda tonight

Why is it no other country is able to deescalate? Why is it understandable for Iran (and any other country we are at odds with) to retaliate against our retaliation to their provocations? Most Americans just want to be left alone. We don't rally and scream death to anyone. We have done more and still do more to help people who seem to hate us.
President Trump, (with guidance from his advisers), ordered a fatal attack on a man who from all reports was directly responsible through the training of insurgents, the supply of weapons and the planning of specific attacks over many years, for the death of upward of six hundred American soldiers. Intelligence reports stated that this man was planning additional attacks on Americans.
After the successful attack on the Iranian General, leaders in Iran threatened retaliation. Why were there no calls for the Iranians to deescalate???
The sad truth is no matter what we do, America is the "Bad Guy". President Trump announced that he had more targets than they did, if he does not retaliate then it will be reported that he has "caved in to Iranian pressure" and "went back on his word". If he does call for more attacks he is a war-mongering bigot.
Many Americans are tired of this whole cycle, with us always backing off. When we do we are rarely if ever lauded for our restraint. Most peace loving Americans don't want war with anyone, but want to see if we respond hard enough will these folks learn to just leave us alone.

Now Iran has escalated the war again. Other than Iran's continued provocations, it is a minor issue. They will replace their poet with another one just like him. Iran needs to stop.

Iran has expanded their terrorist activities across the globe and nearing getting nuclear capabilities. It is INSANE to let them proceed with this! Obama/the Dems were foolish enough to give them $150 billion for a weak agreement that anyone with a brain would know they would cheat on. They expanded their terrorism immediately with that money. Well, there is a new sheriff in town! I'll tell you what I'm for, I want their military capabilities and nuclear operations turned into dust, now! You said it "40 years" ...we've played their games long enough, time to end this. Thank God we have a leader with common sense before they get a nuclear bomb!

Iran should not have listened to John Kerry when he was talking to them the last 3 years. Iran's best hope now is that a Democrat will be elected president because many Dems expressed condolences or held candlelight vigils.

Is Trump going to turn them into dust? I thought he had a calm tweet last night. Interesting. You may be disappointed. Nothing is stopping Iran from gaining nuclear capabilities. Nothing. You seem to think Trump has already solved that problem. They are going to ramp up.

Another hawk without service. Imagine that. They are out in full force tonight.

Friend, that is not a fair comment. I served but I recognize it would be hubris and arrogance if I rejected out-of-hand the opinions of those who did not serve. I agree that some of those who served possess more knowledge of combat operations and the risks of taking/not taking action. There are a lot of Americans who remember the Iranian hostage crisis that occurred under President Carter and the poorly planned and botched rescue attempt that he ordered. There is a lot of palpable anger toward Iran for that incident as well as the Iranian-backed bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon. This is not the mention Iran's prolific support for terrorism and its constant threat to shipping in the Persian Gulf. I am not in favor of an all-out attack on Iran as a response for its missile attack on United States military bases in Iraq. I am in favor of a measured response. But the time of constant appeasement has passed. Going forward Iran has to be confronted every single time it breaks a United Nations resolution, launches a terrorist attack (directly or through one of its surrogates), or threatens peaceful navigation of the seas. Iran has direct control over how the United States responds.

Don't just say it's the Republicans who love war, remember it was LBJ who ramped up things big time in Vietnam. Before that it was Woodrow Wilson who got us into WW1, and FDR into WW2 shortly after he said no American boys would be fighting in Europe again.

Tucker Carlson has been good on this issue talking about those in D.C who have wanted another full blown war in the Middle East area. Let's see, we've been in Afghanistan for 20 years, Iraq since 2003, and Kuwait has had an American presence since Saddam's invasion. We have lost plenty of American soldiers defending Muslims and I agree with Tucker, it's time this stops.

President Trump said the other day that Iran will never get a nuclear weapon. Well, to my mind the only way to prevent that would be a full scale war against Iran with the complete annihilation of all their nuclear facilities and the destruction of the Islamic regime - and that will take an invasion.

The question is, are we as a nation ready to do that?

Iran can be stopped, and as I posted it would take a full scale war with an invasion. Minus that, they will get nuclear weapons.

Just for the record just because someone has not ever served in the military does not mean that their view on these issues are irrelevant or less important. Trying to discount their view is not appropriate.

Their missiles are known to be really inaccurate, so maybe they want to make a show of force, and also not really trying to kill any soldiers. as want to avoid getting struck back hard?

It is now reported that they called the Iraqis in advance of the bombing to let them know. Of course our troops were not even in the area when they fell.

I also heard that the president has what is called plan 52 in play, if American soldiers were attacked and killed, would have meant ordering strikes on 3 main oil refineries, all command centers, and even their nuclear facilities!
