    I do not see him as really committing a sin, so far less a problem than sexual sinning would have been!

    OK by me as long as he does not re-marry. In my scriptural opinion, he is still married to the woman that departed from him.

    He never has remarried, as think that he stills saw them as being married!

    Are not pastors and teachers held to a higher standard than the bare minimum?

    He did not do anything as far as I know that violated scripture concerning divorce!

    The issue isn't that he never remarried. That's nice that he didn't, isn't it?

    My point is: shouldn't a man of integrity step down from that position, for a number of good reasons?

    Each case is different, but I would say that he has a much better biblical support to doing what he did as staying on as pastor then Jimmy Swaggert did!

    So it's ok for him to divorce his wife for "irreconcilable differences," and still be the pastor of his church?

    paul and peter did far worse things then Charles or Jimmy, did the lord retain them in leadership positions?

    Doesn't scripture say divorce is only permitted in cases of unfaithfulness (i.e adultery)?

    What are your thoughts regarding Charles Stanley's divorce (in 2000)?

    the gossip has it THAT SHE DIVORCED HIM. He let her go, he probably had no choice. Most states (I thunk, well here in WA) it only takes 1 to divorce for ANY REASON. Usually - irreconcilable differences. then ADIOS AMIGO - SEE YOU WHEN WE STAND BEFORE GOD to give an answer,

    It also states that the innocent party free to remarry under that situation, not under obligation.
