New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo personally thanked President Donald Trump on Tuesday for the federal government’s efforts to help his state deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

After initially criticizing the president for his response to the spread of COVID-19, Cuomo was complimentary at a news conference in Albany and told reporters that Trump’s team is “on it” in regard to helping those affected by the virus.

“New Yorkers will do everything they can to be good partners with the federal government,” the Democrat said. “I think the president was 100 percent sincere in saying that that he wanted to work together in partnership and a spirit of cooperation.

“I can tell you the actions he has taken evidence that. His team has been on it. I know a team when they’re on it, and I know a team when they’re not on it,” the Democrat added.

Temperatures in New York dropped to an all time record low as a certain place known for its fiery lake has frozen over.

Trump has no choice but to take care of New York. There are like 9 million people in the NYC metro area and it's no coincidence he is sending a U.S. Navy hospital ship there.

It is not surprising this change in tone from NY happened after Fauci and Birx have taken over the planning and messaging of the federal coronavirus effort. These two know what they are doing and are highly competent. Kudos to Trump for putting them in charge and letting them do their jobs.

If when this is all over you want to make snide comments like this or outright attacks on Trump so be it. Right now dems are even finding it difficult to do and in fact many of them are praising Trump. Just stop the backhanded snide remarks. We all have bigger fish to fry.

Maybe you don't know what the word kudos means.

The previous task force wasn't working. So Trump went and got the best people for the job to take over. That kind of recognition and response in crisis deserves kudos. Trying to pretend that everything is going fine when it isn't so that you can maintain your narratives is what leads to disaster for everyone.

I'm not sure what you are talking about but ok.

Trump has the right people in charge now and they are doing a good job with the time and resources they have left, which isn't very much. Kudos to Trump for doing the right thing and putting them in charge.

Now we just need to convince all americans to listen to what Trump is telling them to do now. Many who have been told to do the opposite of Trump's current plan by questionable sources of information saying things like "not to worry it is just the flu" or that it is not a big deal that we should just continue life as usual and protect the economy. We need to combat that type of misinformation and support the president's current plan which calls for all americans to take this infection seriously and alter how they live their lives so that more lives can be saved. This is the right plan and Trump should be praised for it.

I am not a fan of the President, and I am not a fan of his initial response to the crisis.

That being said, he is doing a much better job now, but too many people aren't listening to the message. The President has assembled a solid team, and they have made solid recommendations. But if we don't follow their guidance, we are going to face the consequences.

You are rampaging through this board in an oddly over sensitive way. Yes we have bigger fish to fry...bigger than trying to tone police those that have their own opinions. I believe that Trump is putting in place sound and effective policies now after an initial period of not understanding the severity of our situation. I am not alone in that opinion. You are going to have to deal with that. Stop trying to tone police everyone because of your own political insecurities.

Apparently you aren’t allowed to say anything good about Trump either without him going off.

Yes, I noticed that, also. It's as if he's married to Trump. It's like Trump is the man of the house, so to speak, and no one else has the right to pay attention to him.

It's very similar to the jealous wife, who gets angry if she notices anyone looking at her husband with admiring eyes. It's strange, really.

New York has always been a diverse place! NYC and Long Island is a playground for sin. Upstate beautiful but hard to live in as you know. I am happy though that men of your caliber still speak truth to power and Christ to be the sinners.... God bless you!

In defense of the good Revmitchell, he is wise to the ways of the left who have shown themselves to be what they are on this board, countless times. Even now, some feel secure in this new territory to step out & self-identify. Good to know.
Keep up the good work, Revmitchell.
