This Board is NOT Evil!

the board may not be, some people are.

 

Yep. You know, I have had some passionate debates, which I do enjoy, but I am glad for each of you with whom I have been on the same side; as well as those who have butted heads with me. Life would be soooo boring if we all agreed on everything.

 

I see it as a place where everyone tells their own particular views.

I also think the moderators put up with an awful lot of stuff. And they dont really have to do that.

Im happy I havent gotten thrown off the forum yet.

There are quite a few grouches on here but other then that, a nice place to be.

Im curious as to what made anyone say it was an evil place to begin with?

It seems like everyone here probably is trying just as much as anyone else to be a true Christian and everyone has their own conscience before God... so nobody really has the right to accuse anyone else of being "evil".

And the moderators have a pretty tough time I imagine... they are doing the best they can.

People ought to just be thankful they have a place like this to express their views on things and listen to other people's views as well.

I agree with you SMM. The board isn't evil. Sometimes some of the posters get out of line. This particular forum used to be one of the most volatile on the board. But right now most people are behaving themselvs quite civily. To our shame, there is a Baptist forum where a couple of Baptists are duking it out in various threads. The outcome of such scenarios is simply a reproach on the name of Christ. No, it is not the board that is evil.

 

Well the way I see it is that the leaders of this Baptist Board have to do what they feel is right in their own consciences. And its their Board so they can do what they want to.

Nobody can really fault them for doing whatever they feel is the right thing to protect the people who come here and also the integrity of the place.

As far as they guy or girl who spammed the place saying it was evil goes, they were probably just angry at the time...
people do strange stuff when they get upset sometimes. These kinds of things happen on every message board or chat room Ive ever been to sooooooooooo

I wanted to PM this but LisaB, your inbox is full. Probably because of others responding to this topic.

For my part I do not see how it applies to me, or any one else publicly. Christian principles dictate that the only ones who should be in the know about this are authorities and those directly affected.

You can't fight gossip with gossip and it feels to me that this is what is happening.

Any problems I have with any of the ladies on the boards is between me, the ladies and the Lord only!

What you have shown me is that you are more interested in spreading gossip than you are in resolving issues. Whay are you involved anyway?

For me, there will always be problems when so many ladies want to do things their own way. There will never be unity unless we each take personal responsibility for our own actions and let the other things go.

God tells us that we are to take our disputes to the PERSONS involved only. And if we get no response, then take it to the Admins. Other than that...let it go. It's between those involved, God and their own conscience.

It just grieves me to see all this happening.
I will be praying for you all.

 

Lord keep me strong to stand up under the trials I have in life. Keep me from trying to fight a battle that belongs to you.

Give me the wisdom to realize all this trouble allows me to feel the 'peace that passeth understanding' in the midst of my storms.

Guide me in all things I'm doing and keep my heart pure.

Place a hedge of protection around my family that they will not have to feel my pain.

Thank you lord, for the family you have given me and for all the blessings you have showered upon myself and my family.
