But I once read that God does not have to forgive sins which are done frivolous. Or what if I have not repented correctly? I mean there are so many things which you can be unsure of.

Not sure we are supposed to be angry with God. I know the Bible records some instances of people getting angry with Him, but does that make it right?

Shall the thing created say to the creator, why hast thou made me thus?

Well, if we ARE angry with God, I think He would rather us talk to Him about it than stuff our feelings or 'act out' because we are angry with Him.

God gave us all of our emotions - including anger.

And He knew we would get angry and covered it in the Scriptures.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
    Ephesians 4:26

Don't we want our children to come to us when they are angry with us?

So, our heavenly Father wants us to come to Him. There should not be anything we cannot talk to our Lord about.

Those who fear God, as in the Old Testament, are not close to God. We don't open up and talk to someone we fear like that.

Yes, we should be in awe of God because fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, but, in my opinion, we should not be afraid of God.

When our children are afraid of us, they will not open up and talk to us. We must be careful to instill the right kind of fear (awesome respect) in our children.

He that is within you is stronger than he that is without and when you make mistakes the innerman takes over by the Grace of God and sets us straight. That is why we are willingly to say I am sorry to our brothers and sisters and neighbors etc.
He that is without chastisement is a bastard and not a son. This Scripture tells us that all of God's children do wrong but God is always there to chastise us and we make it right.

    Blessed;
You would be right at home in our church then for our brothers and sisters give God praise when the Spirit directs it. Makes me sad to hear some churches frown on it.

Brother Bob, I can tell I would feel right at home in your church from you posts (most of them). :D

The Holy Spirit was definitely leading. I wouldn't have had the courage to do it if it had been me.

I didn't know I was going to. It wasn't planned.

I was just so excited that Jesus rose from the dead that it spilled out! [IMG]

xdiciplex, here is a scripture for you:

John 14-27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

    This is Jesus speaking.

You may not feel it, you may not see it, but Jesus has you in the palm of His hand at all times.

    Peace,

    Tam

Please read Romans 6 and when you finish you will think that a Christian cannot sin, but read it again and this time realize it is talking about a sin unto death which is breaking of the Commandments, adultery, lying, stealing, murder etc. It plainly tells us but so easy to over look that it is speaking of The Law of Commandments.

    Romans, chapter 6

Compare with Revised Standard Version: Roma.06

1: What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2: God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3: Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5: For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7: For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8: Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10: For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Being born again raised from a dead state to a lively hope in Christ
12: Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13: Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14: For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15: What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16: Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17: But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18: Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19: I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20: For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21: What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22: But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    Hi Tam!
But what do I do when I am troubled and afraid?
What do I do then? Feel guilty because I am not as brave as others? I'm simply not like that. Others may have a more positive outlook but I don't and I cannot simply change this or turn myself into a sunny boy. This doesn't work.

I think the worst part is simply feeling so helpless. When something happens and you don't know what to do and you also don't know what God is doing and all this. This makes me feel so helpless and this can drive you crazy. Does God like this? Does he want us to feel helpless and never knowing what he is up to? Is this what we call "trust"?

    "X",

From your posts I am assuming you've been attending A Holiness Based Charismatic/Pentecostal Fellowship?

I have expressed my feelings about what little I know about some of what you've shared...

My personal advice is to find the nearest Southern Baptist Missionary and go sit down and have a face to face talk...

You need to get your assurance back...

I do not believe that will be possible in your current fellowship...

If you absolutely want to stay Pentecostal then find an Assemblies of God Missionary...

But, above all go sit down with a 'trusted' minister (as outlined above) and have a face to face...

    Claudia,

Babies are baptized as infants to wash away the "original" sin. It has nothing to with their ability to consent to any particular religion. If they die before they're aware of right and wrong, they will die free of sin.

I know of no Baptist church that baptizes babies. Dedicate, yes. Baptize, no.

They are not accountable before they know right from wrong and therefore, if they die, they go straight to the arms of Jesus.

It's called living by faith... </font>[/QUOTE]You mean not knowing what you should do and not knowing what God is up to is living by faith? I guess then Moses was not living by faith because he could hear God and knew his plans.

    @ SpiritualMadMan

I'm in Germany. We don't have Southern Baptists.
