Eccles 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
    (KJV)

Eccles 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
    (KJV)

(This means all works, both the sinner and the just, shall be brought into judgment)

    1. Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (KJV)

    3. Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. (KJV)

    4. Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. (KJV)

    5. Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. (KJV)

    6. Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. (KJV)

    7. Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. (KJV)

    8. Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal. (KJV)

    9. Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. (KJV)

10.Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. (KJV)

All of my life I have believed that the Ten Commandments were from God to the world of mankind. For He said I come not to call the righteous but the sinner to repentance. It seems strange to have to take the scriptures to prove that the Law of the Commandments are to the world of mankind, for it is not God=s will that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance. First what does man have to repent of. The scripture says that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. To sin one has to transgress the Law of the Commandments, for that is what the scriptures teach us that sin is, and if the Law of the Commandments is not to the world, then the world has never sinned and would not have anything to repent of. When I was a sinner in the world I knew it was wrong to lie, steal and kill, because something inside was teaching me that.

To hear preachers say that the only thing in the bible to sinners is repent, is to not be able to preach the story of Jesus, how He died for your sins whether you love Him or not, to flee the wrath of God, stand on the walls of Zion and tell my people of their transgressions and the Law of the Commandments. We dropped the Mud River Association for preaching that very thing that the only thing in the bible to sinners is repentance. For the life of me I can not understand such doctrine. Cornilus=s prayers and alms came up before God before he ever became a Christian. When someone asked, what must I do to be saved? You must first tell them about Jesus and if they will believe then they can repent and be born again. Paul said I claim to know nothing among you saving Jesus and Him crusified. Jesus said go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to ever creature. The Gospel includes more than to repent. All of the preachers I can read about preached the Word to a lost and dying world. Amen

John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. (KJV)

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, (KJV)

Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (KJV)

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; (KJV)

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (KJV)

How could the Grace of God teach us to deny ungodliness, except it first teach us what ungodliness is. Which is to transgress The Law of The Commandments.

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. (KJV)

Romans 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. (KJV)

Romans 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. (KJV)

I guess that the most plain scriptures which show that the law is to the world is as follows if men will have it, but some will not believe even though the scripture says so:

1 Tim 1:7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. (KJV)

1 Tim 1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; (KJV)

1 Tim 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, (KJV)

1 Tim 1:10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; (KJV)

1 Tim 1:11 According to the glorious gospel (here the scripture shows that the Law of Commandments are a part of the Gospel and Jesus said preach the Gospel to every creature, not only just repent) of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. (KJV)

1 Tim 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; (KJV)

I have tried to understand why some say that the Law of the Commandments are not to the world and I suppose they read the following scriptures and get that understanding, but Jesus continued to preach the prophets and the Law and when He said He came not to destroy the Law, but to fulfill, the book of Luke says what He came to fulfill, (the things written in the books of Moses and the Pslams concerning Him) and the scripture say that the Law and the Prophets are still a witness unto us today.

Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. (KJV)

Matt 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. (KJV)

Matt 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (KJV) (Heaven and earth are still here!)

Matt 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (KJV)

Matt 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. (KJV)

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. (KJV)

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the
    law, but under grace. (KJV)

What these scriptures are saying is that we were delivered from the law by the body of Christ and now His laws are in our heart and our mind and we are free from the Law because we are no longer our own keeper but kept by the Power of God and the reason we are free is because we no longer do the things contained in the Law of the Commandments for we are the servants of righteousness and not the servants of sin and death, which is to transgress the Law of the Commandments as explained in the following scriptures:

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. (KJV)

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. (KJV)

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. (KJV)

(KJV)

I have been asked who was the law given to by some? I suppose because it was given to Moses, they are saying it is only to the church. The law was given to a backsliding Israel who were worshiping idol gods. The Law of the Commandments were given to all of Isreal, (when all of Israel was not Israel), because of sin and when the middle wall of partition was broken down salvation went out to all men not just Israel. All of Israel were not the church, only those who kept all of His Commandments, statues, ordinances and were found perfect before God. It is hard for me to believe that our preachers would preach such a doctrine when them that drink milk have a better understanding than that. As stated in the following scriptures:

Romans 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: (KJV)

Romans 9:27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: (KJV)
(That remnant was the church, not all of Israel!)

I would that everyone would think of their own life before they become a Christian. When you were in trouble because of your sins did you quit stealing, lying, coveting, worshiping other things other than God and the rest of the Commandments? If you did not quit the things of the world, which is to break the Commandments, I doubt if you ever have been saved. Let me make it as clear as I can. I do not believe that keeping the Law of the Commandments will give you eternal life, for if it would, there would have been no need for our Lord to come and die, but it will cleanse your hands when you can quit sinning but it stills take the Blood of Christ to take away all of the sins you have already committed and to wash you as white as snow, raise you from the Law of Sin and Death, which is transgression of the Law of the Ten Commandments, unto the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. Amen

Now the following scripture which talks about the Law being a shadow of thing to come is talking about the sacrificial law (which is often confused with the Law of the Commandments) when they offered up the blood of animals it was a shadow of the coming of Christ, but was not the real thing. It only stayed their sins from year to year, but when Jesus came and died he fulfilled that Law and put away sin forever.

Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. (KJV)

Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. (KJV)

Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. (KJV)

Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. (KJV)

Heb 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: (KJV)

Heb 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. (KJV)

Also the Law of circumcision is often confused with the Law of the Commandments. We should read very carefully and pray for an understanding to make sure what Law the scripture is talking about. The law of circumcision was taken out of the flesh and put in the heart and the scriptures say circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Explained in the following scriptures:

Romans 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. (KJV)

Romans 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? (KJV)

Romans 2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? (KJV)

Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: (KJV)

Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (KJV)

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. (KJV)

Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (KJV) ( The Law will not justify you, but it will condemn you in sin! And if you keep the Law of Commandments it will lead you to Christ by cleansing your hands from sin, if you believe that Jesus is the Christ.)

Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; (KJV)

Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. (KJV)

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. (KJV) (again the Law does not save you but condemns you in sin!)

Romans 3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: (KJV)

Romans 3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. (KJV)

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. (KJV)

Now to say you cannot preach the Law of the Commandments to the world is to say you can not preach what Jesus preached himself and He said that the Holy Spirit would bring to our remembrance all things He had done and taught. In the following scriptures Jesus tells a young ruler of the world what he must do to inherit eternal life and the first thing Jesus told him was to keep the Commandments. Some say He only quoted five of them, but I believe He meant and probably said all of them, for the scripture says to offend in one point or break one of the Commandments you are guilty of all and the ones that are not written have to do with (Thou shalt have no other gods before me, Not to make any graven image, not to take the Lord=s name in vain, keep the Sabbath and to not Covet) I am sure he meant these other five Commandments.

Matt 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? (KJV)

Matt 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (KJV)

Matt 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, (KJV)

Matt 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (KJV)

Matt 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? (KJV)

Matt 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. (KJV)

Matt 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. (KJV)

In closing, I will attach several scriptures to this writing and will say that if the Commandments are not to the world, then the world has never sinned, therefore they would not have anything to repent of, which anyone should be able to understand better than that, to say the world has not sinned is to say God hath told false because He said the world and all have sinned, which is transgression of the Law of The Commandments. Also to say that the world can not quit sinning is to say that man does not have a choice whether to serve God or Baal and that he cannot cleanse his hands. Remember how it was with you, did you quit breaking the Commandments? Did you know it was wrong to commit adultery when you were in the world? Could you quit lying or did you have to lie when you were in the world? Was the choice yours or did God make you quit breaking the Commandments? Finally, when you broke the Law of the Commandments when you were in the world did you know it was sin and who do you think taught you that? The Law is a schoolmaster that will get you to the foot of the cross, it stills takes the blood of Jesus to save you.
In the Judgement, the men and women of the world that have lied, committed adultery, stole, killed and broken any of the Law of Commandments, will be judged by them, according to the scriptures. (For they were judged out of the things written in the books, not just the words repent, for Jesus said the words I speak shall judge you in the last day.
Also your works will follow you into judgement). Amen

There are several Laws mentioned in the scriptures. We have discussed in this writing The Law of Commandments, The Law of Sacrifice and the Law of Circumcision. The Law of Commandments is the one that is sin for mankind by transgression of that Law bringeth forth sin and sin bringeth forth death. Amen

Matt 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. (KJV)

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. (KJV)

    abounded unto many. (KJV)

    (KJV)

Romans 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death,

Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very
image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they
offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins
    every year. (KJV)

Agreed. The Ten commandments (and in fact the Word of God in general) "Defines sin" by telling us what God's way is - so that we can see clearly "as in a mirror" when we choose the way of evil and sin "instead".

The "New Creation" is made in harmony with that Law - but the sinful nature is in rebellion against it.

So we see the struggle that Paul speaks of in Romans 7.

    Thank you,
Glad to have someone read my writings after all these years. I was chosen by 27 churches to write a circular letter to the Association one year, maybe also later I can post it. It is about the the different types of death and the inner man and the outward man.
