WHY IS "HEALING IN ATONEMENT" DENIED?

There is a difference between general healing and the promised healing from sin, Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24.

 

That promise of healing was fulfilled before the cross per Mattnew 8:17.

 

Our healing comes when we enter God's presence.
Richard Baxter's hymn comes to mind:

1 Lord, it belongs not to my care
whether I die or live:
to love and serve thee is my share,
and this thy grace must give.

2 Christ leads me through no darker rooms
than he went through before;
he that into God's kingdom comes
must enter by this door.

3 Come, Lord, when grace hath made me meet
thy blessed face to see;
for if thy work on earth be sweet,
what will thy glory be!

4 Then shall I end my sad complaints

and join with the triumphant saints
that sing my Saviour's praise.

There is no guarantee for the Christian for healing. 2 Timothy 4:20, ". . . Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick. . . ."

 

My old pastor....

1. Very disciplined guy - Up at 6AM every morning
2. Rejoiced in what he called being a Pentecostal Holiness country preacher
3. Revivals - At least one every two months - All with unique and good evangelists
4. Would let the Holy Spirit have his way in service
5. Take time to pray for the sick at church and in the hospitals. Carried a bottle of anointing oil with him
6. Was a friendly guy and would come visit you
7. Loved God and very Christlike.
8. A great, loving, and supportive family man as well
9. No allegations against the guy the 30 years he was with us



Many would tearfully testify in service, "The Lord has healed my body time and time again."

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. - James 5

I can't say everyone he prayed for got a touch from God, but the fact that he would take time to pray and believe on people's behalf was greatly appreciated.

 

Both of them would be under the Apostolic covering, Luke by paul. mark by peter!

 

Does God use suffering and sickness in order to make us more like Jesus?

 

He also advised Timothy to drink a little wine for His stomach issues!

 

Gifts of healings ceased after Apostles died, and the ONLY promised physical healing to us is in the resurrected Body!

 

Spiritual healing 100 % in the Cross, physical healings depends upon the will and plans of God, but all will be healed on resurrection day!

 

Except WoF teachers die of diseases same way everyone else does!

 

They were church prophets along with the writer of Hebrews per Ephesians 2:20.

 

Neither one was ever called that, but the truth is that both mark and Luke were inspired to record down to us their NT Books!

 

Ephesians 2:20, ". . . are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; . . ." Ephesians 4:11, ". . . And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; . . . " And what we have now of them are the New Testament documents.

 

Yes, and in the past tense, so Joseph Smith, Mary baker eddy, and Ellen White were not invited in!

 

Steven you are a stubborn, bullheaded, arrogant young man and you need to learn how to respect your elders... I got three true stories for you!

A preacher friend of mine when he first started the ministry found out his wife had cancer that ravaged her whole body... The doctors told her to go home and get your house in order, there is nothing we can do for you, you are going to die... All they could do was pray... Not only did they pray, all their family, church and friends prayed... They had two little girls at the time so he couldn't see how he could possibly raise them alone... He put it in Gods hands... The next time she went in for another check-up ALL the cancer was gone... A miracle to be sure and she has been cancer free for over 50 years.

I was married for 30 years but four years prior my wife went in for a check up and the doctor discovered kidney cancer, so they took the diseased kidney out and later on the other kidney was diseased and they took that one out too... While waiting for a transplant, family, friends and the church prayed for her but she died... She was a Christian Lady, so she was healed too... And what better healing is this?

2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

I told you I had three stories and here is the third one... Soon after I lost my first wife I met another Christian Lady online and we got married a year later... We had been married for over ten years we she went in for her yearly mammogram (breast examination) when they discovered a centralized aggressive cancer... We all prayed about it and she decided after checking all the options, she would have it surgically removed followed by radiation and chemotherapy... She has been cancer free for over 5 years now and because of what she went through it has set her on fire... She is now the head of The Women's Cancer, Care and Compassion Ministry at our church, which she started... They provide handmade comforting needs for those who are going through any type of Cancer... They even help a friend of mines wife and he is on this board.

There is physical healing, but don't forget there is spiritual healing also... And God can accomplish HIS healing in many ways as I heard my preacher friend say who's wife had the miraculous healing.

1.) He WILL deliver you from it... A miraculous healing

2.) He WILL go with you through it... He will comfort and guide you through it and all the trials you encounter, he will be there.

3.) He Will deliver you out of it... You WILL be in the presence of the Lord.

Update... My wife who has been cancer free for over 5 years now, had a questionable mammogram last week on her other breast, that was not cancerous... She goes in for another more in depth one tomorrow... This unworthy brother in the Lord ask for your prayers... All we can do is let go and let God!... Brother Glen
