Explain to me what the differences are that you feel sets you apart from the LDS, why, and how is it supported by the Bible.

I guess you don't know what LDS is.

LDS does not believe Jesus is their savior. They believe John Smith is their savior.

The LDS use the Book of Mormon. For LDS, The Book of Mormon supercedes the Bible.

If you need more, then I guess I could list more. You can go watch the play The Book of Mormon or watch the South Park episode about it.

I usually don't go out of my way to speak against them because they tend not to invade the forums and their religion doesn't involve murdering Christians like Islam preaches. Well, at least, not anymore.

Mormons believe that God is an exalted man - literally just a man. They believe he was granted his own planet and he and his spiritual wife bore all these baby soul that come to earth to inhabit babies.

They believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers.

They believe that the extremely moral men who adhere to Mormon teachings will one get their own planet to rule and that their wives will bear children for eternity.

    1. They use the allegorical hermeneutical method of interpretation.
    2. They claimed that people were not capable of understanding the Bible on their own and needed their founder’s interpretation which was the allegorization of the entire Old Testament so that the Moabites and Edomites and the ancient people were the American Indians.
    3. They share in common with every other belief system on earth the belief that God will forgive men on the basis of men’s good works.
    4. They reject the national election of Israel and claim to be the Jews.

First, I’d like to point out that your response was not polite disagreement. You used an underhanded way to call me a lair, a slanderer, and an ignoramus.

    :Cry:Tongue:Biggrin:Laugh:Roflmao

Just kidding - there are people here who are always looking for a way to take offense.

You are seriously using the Calvinist website - ick!:Biggrin

I guess they are occasionally right - even a broken clock is.

I was thinking about listing numerous Mormons in their own words but then I thought that many here would benefit from instruction by a woman.

    So, right back at yah,

37818, There is really no need to misrepresent the false teachings of LDS.

    @MartyF
I am well aware they believed their prophet Smith was an essentual to their church. I have never heard or read from the LDS church or any of their members that Joseph Smith was their savior and not their Jesus. As we know they have a different Jesus.

Add: watching the posted video, I understand why you wrote that they regarded Smith as their savior.
