    A statue of Frederick Douglass was vandalized over the 4th of July in Rochester, New York.

    'Frederick Douglass was born into slavery and escaped to the North. He was a passionate abolitionist, at home and abroad, and befriended President Abraham Lincoln.

    'In recent years, Black Lives Matter activists have been fond of quoting a speech in which Douglass called the Fourth of July a “sham” because of slavery. However, in the remainder of the speech, Douglass praises America’s founding and its principles.'

    I think that it is time to throw in the towel on reason as Douglass was a friend of Lincoln's. This is just the work of criminal thugs and vandals who make up the central body of BLM.

    Everyone knows Frederick Douglas was a white nationalist who oppressed African-American people......:rolleyes:

    If you can't do the new history how are you going to do the new math???? You're falling behind brother. :Laugh

    Vandals, rioters, looters, do not care about ideology or history, they have their own destructive agenda, and there is nothing good about it. Jealousy, rage, greed, sex, power, are major motivators for people dead in their evil nature, the flesh and the devil , that is all they are being spiritually dead. "You are of your father the devil and your desire is to do his will", the devil steals, kills, destroys when given the opportunity, so do his evil followers who are of the devil, and so then his children. The only ones who are 'of God' are those born again according to the Spirit of God, that makes them new creations in Christ, so then of the Father, no longer of the devil, the flesh, they are of the Spirit. You must be born again to be of God.

    The flesh profits nothing, worldly evil satanic people live only for the flesh to fulfil the lusts thereof.

    Incidents like this make it crystal clear that fighting "systemic racism" is more about tearing down the system than it is about ending racism. It diverts our attention to watch the magician's hand that's waving around while the other hand doing most of the work goes unnoticed. Christians have to learn to focus on God's hand in all of this, and I worry that we aren't teaching that skill in discipleship.
