Thank you for the encouragement. I posted in the New Persons forum, too...just little baby steps. Like you, I'm not sure why I feel uncomfortable other than the fear of saying something that will get someone's dander up but I don't see as much of that here as on other boards. I'm just going to take a big breath and go for it!!!! No wonder my husbands teases me and calls me a wimp.

You are welcome, KayDee! Ask your husband if he prefers a wimp or an aggressive hussy??!! I bet that will make him smile a little, at least!

As far as getting someone's dander up, as time goes by, you will not worry so much about that as about WHOSE dander you get up! When it's someone opposing what you know to be true, that's a really good sign you are saying something significant!

But let the Lord lead you in whatever you do, and thanks for coming on. God bless.

I wish they had the "One Year" Bible in ESV format.

    Tom,

Read the verses for the day in whatever translation you desire. I'm hoping we'll get a lot of positive interaction from different translational renderings. I also hope the *.onlyers will abstain from translation uppitiness! :D

    Hi Janis, and WELCOME!!! :D

None of us are really sure how this Bible study is going to go, so you are in on the ground floor along with the rest of us.

The important thing is that the Bible gets read and not just talked about, right?

    God bless you.
