Most days are spent in uploading (and editing, preparing) to as many places online as possible, to share as much truth as God hath given me to as many as possible before the end comes. Some days I get to bible study with others in person, and other times it is by an online app, like zoom, &c.

Just ordered my wife one for her birthday. Dumb me, didn't even know such a thing existed. Sounds just like what she'd love, she smothers our bed with layers of quilts and blankets which I can't sleep under.

    How are weighted blankets washed?

I have to handwash everything, so only purchase what can be handwashed most easily. I just use multiple throw-sized blankets, and wash them one at a time.

Whenever I move, I order a centrifuge from Amazon or directly from the manufacturer if I can afford it.
Ninja 3200 RPM Portable Centrifugal Spin Dryer with High Tech Suspension System

When I move, if none of my neighbors want it, I can usually dispose of it in a way that does not cost me anything.

Wringing the items out is the worst part of handwashing, and if you don't have a place to hang them outside, a centrifuge vastly reduces the amount of humidity released into your home, as well as vastly reducing the time it takes to dry. You can iron an item dry as soon as it comes out of the centrifuge.

I cannot image that I could hand-wash a weighted blanket.

I use a heating pad as a partial electric blanket, when I cannot afford to heat the entire room or home.

Probably will be a success story!
There is a removable cover like a sheet that you can get, called a duvet I think, that cuts down on the frequency of washing the weighted blanket itself. I don't know about the hand washing, though. Fairly heavy, so might be a chore.

Well today I hope my book arrives, that kyredneck recommended called The Exposition Of The Gospel O John by A. W. Pink, I need to get into another study after reading The Holy Spirit by John Owen... It is either that or on the BB or watching an old TV program, in between or the History Channel.

Now my wife Pam she is the busy one, after being delivered from Breast Cancer in 2015, she made it her mission to help those women and men who fight this disease... She is the head of The Women's Cancer Care and Compassion Group in our church... They help everyone by giving them homemade embroidered bags and blankets, weather you belong to the church, attend another church or don't even go to church... They hear of a need, they fill it... They even sent a members wife on here a blanket, when he told me his wife was fighting ovarian cancer... The reason for the blankets, those who go into chemotherapy as she found out, the blankets they use are heated but thin and the room is cold and the blankets soon lose their heat, these blankets are fleece and warm... She knows by experience... She has to have a project... If she doesn't, she'll create one!... Hope everyone's day in the Lord is going well... I'm a night owl, just getting started... Brother Glen:)

We have a close friend of the family and member of Lexington Church that was expected to pass last night from cancer. He was very influential in setting a fine example for younger Christians to follow.

My workplace ( a grocery store) is closed on Thanksgiving day, so we are preparing for tomorrow to be insane and crazy.

I'm actually not sure. They can be quite heavy, I've seen some that are 30 lbs. (Their weight should be like 15% of your body weight, I think?) Guess I'll need to find out. They are considered to be good for anxiety, because the weight presses down on you and elicits a comfort response. Or something like that.
Same principle as the thunder shirt for dogs, I guess--a thunder shirt is like a vest that wraps tightly around your dog and is supposed to help them calm down if they're anxious. My vet recommended one for my dog after I mentioned he was always whining when in the car. It did seem to help him relax.

I ended out grabbing several snack pies at 7/11 tonight so I would not have to go pie shopping tomorrow. Good luck!

    Hi brother,

Would you mind if I share some things that may be of benefit to your group:

    http://supernaturalresources.epizy.com/cancer-is-conquered-tumors-are-no-more-trouble/

More videos, materials to come in future if youtube doesn't ban me for them.

No one should ever have to go through chemo-therapy and the pain, suffering, sickness of it.

Heyho. I haven't been on in a hot minute. Honestly I get a lot of anxiety from highly combative forums, so I have to limit my exposure to them.

I understand that!! They can make me nervous, too. We were meant to be highly combative with each other and it makes me sad when I see it.

I used to joke and say things like "time to kill myself" whenever slightl inconvenienced. While I was never serious, I began to feel that it was not a good look to be talking like that. So I've attempted to quit. I don't say it out loud anymore, but I do have a strong tendency to think it in my head when frustrated. Again--not a serious use of the phrase. Just an expression of annoyance or irritation. It's hard to find a substitute phrase that carries the same weight and that equally gets across how irritated I am.

All that said, people don't care if you say "please kill me", when frustrated. But when it's worded "time to kill myself" or some other variant, and it's suddenly shocking and horrible? Weird.
