Jon, you are speaking the truth. Hopefully those who have been caught up in both political and religious cults will listen and learn. Thanks

Why do you seem to be stating that we cannot be both citizens of heaven and of America? Paul had no problem being a christian and a Roman citizen!

Second time for your popular statement without providing backing from the bible.

Hey, thanks for responding to my arm twisting.

Ye are the salt of the earth:
but if the salt has lost his savour,
    wherewith shall it be salted?
It is thenceforth good for nothing,
    but to be cast out,
and be trodden under foot of men.
Ye are the light of the world.
A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle,
and put it under a bushel,
    but on a candle stick;
and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
    Matthew 5:13-16

But it is a sinful process.... why would you want to attach yourself to sin?

I never said Paul was unpatriotic.

I just showed you the origin of America is Christian. The Mayflower Compact. No Deism. No Muslims. Nothing but Christian.

And why did Biden have his hand on the Bible? Not because of Deism, but because America was based upon Christianity. The God of the Bible. Jesus Christ.

The Ceremony didn't place Bidens hand on the koran. Did it? Why not? Because this country, America, is based upon the God of the Bible.

You never proved that the origin of America was Christian. History tells us that the United States arose out of economic oppression. And as the founding fathers were Christians and Deists, it is normal that the founding documents reflected those ideas.

Biden had his hand on the Bible because Biden is Catholic. It is ceremonial deism, but Biden could have requested a different text sacred to his beliefs.

You are very inventive and liberal with your history, beliefs, and Scripture.

I just showed you. The Mayflower compact. It was Christian. It was the framing of a Christian body politic. Do you disagree? Do I need to show you that the Mayflower did exist. That the Mayflower Compact did exist?

Biden had his hand on the Bible because America was founded by the God of the Bible. Whether he likes it or not.

Actually I am very accurate with my history. Which is why you never disprove it. You simply give your somewhat deist opinion. Are you deist?

There is nothing inherently Christian about the GOP. There is nothing inherently Christian about democracy or having a constitutional republic. Christianity will remain under any form of government, albeit dictators and communist make it very difficult. However, I find myself in a Constitutional Republic instead of a monarchy, dictatorship, or communist country. As such I have the ability to participate in the selection of secular leaders that most people throughout history have not had.

There is nothing inherently wrong with my participating in the selection of secular leaders as long as that participation doesn't supersede my participation in the Body of Christ. And as long as I understand that the secular government is not my savior and is not my top priority then I should feel free to participate as I see fit. In other words, as long as politics doesn't become my idol.

There is nothing wrong with wanting tax dollars spent wisely and the government to uphold traditional morality. There is also nothing wrong with wanting the freedoms we are given in our constitutional republic to be maintained.

What is wrong is mixing my political and Christian beliefs into one overarching system that makes secular politics equal with the Gospel of Christ.

If American fell today and became a dictatorship or communist then my citizenship in the Kingdom of God will remain. My purpose as a Christian will remain and my dedication to be a follower of Christ will remain.

Now the Lord is that Spirit:
and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
    there is liberty.
