I don’t know where you are getting your figures, but I do know you are confusing the mortality rate with the recovery rate.

A person who truly “recovers” won’t have long-lasting damage to their body — usually the lungs, heart and/or brain. About 1/3 of people who survive COVID have long-term damage.

Regarding the mortality rate (with treatment) for my mother (age 85), all things being equal, has a mortality rate of 15%.

My stepfather, who is 93, faces a much higher mortality rate, especially since he believes everything he has heard from Fox News and memes in the internet and refuses to take the medicine he was prescribed. He very likely may lose his life.

There’s lots of slimy people posting dangerous propaganda, but they refuse to change because of their overwhelming narcissism.

If Biden ever politicizes wearing masks, dismisses the warnings of medical experts, and diminishes the risk of COVID-19, we should all blame Biden — just like we should have held the former President accountable for his lies, when he told the public not to worry and that COVID-19 was about to go away, yet told Bob Woodward something else in private that was absolutely true and represented the latest understanding of medical experts.

Trump is not responsible for all of the deaths, but he is responsible for a significant number of them, as well as the nonsense being promoted in this thread that continue to get people killed.

Could you please provide a link to a site that supports this claim. I see some have "long term" symptoms that last months, and others do suffer damage to their heart, or lungs, or brain or other. But I did not see where this long term damage was quantified.
