The head of a Washington state teachers union claimed, last week, that re-opening schools for in-person learning is not only an example of “white supremacy,” but that concerns over students’ mental health are a form of “white privilege.”

Echoing comments made by the Chicago Teachers Union months ago — that re-opening schools for in-person instruction is both “racist” and “sexist” — the president of the Pasco Association of Educators (PAE). Scott Wilson, “made a series of unhinged, controversial remarks during a Pasco School Board meeting,” according to reporter Jason Rantz.

If it "takes root", what then? Our educational system is in shambles now. Our society will be a long time recovering - if ever. If the teacher's unions stick to their guns, so to speak, how are they going to be forced back into the classroom without their students/our nations children, being harmed to a much greater extent.

The possible impact of such a basic change in our national structure would be devastating.

To the fascist "Woke" mentality, everything is racist, everything is white supremacy, everything is white privilege. They play the race card because they know it triggers the minds of the gullible, the indoctrinated to make the hoped for knee jerk reaction joining them in their false accusations to further their illicit agenda.

American society is embracing doctrines of demons.
    Really crazy stuff.
Of course when you reject Christ, what's left.

My wife works at a private christian school in VA, and the school is open. So according to teacher unions, the school is racist and white privilege. as parents who send kids their have money enough to pay for their kids education in a school building.

Their white privilege smacks of socialism, where if everybody does not get the same opportunity and same quality it is racist capitalism and inherently evil, and should be then shut down.

Adding that half the students going there are black. But even if they all were black or minorities, they would stamp the same label on the school. as what they say is ideology.
These same people call the desire or actuality of achieving the American dream to own a home, be conventionally married and have kids with 2 parents in a stable good home life is white privilege. Ideas like that have penetrated the consciousness of many people including minorities as being aspirational and an example of white supremacy and privilege.

Biden Dodges Question: Should Teachers Return to In-Person Instruction?

    Comment:

"No way all these commies are going back to work voluntarily."

I agree. Our entire social structure is coming apart.

No where to run, no where to hide! The alternative is not looking good.

Chicago Teachers Union Votes to Refuse Return to In-Person Instruction
Members of the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) voted Sunday to defy the order of Chicago Public Schools (CPS) to return to in-person instruction as the school district continues with its reopening plans amid the coronavirus pandemic.

IMO, the far left goal is less "same opportunity" and more "same outcomes", such that equal opportunity with unequal outcomes is racism.
Another thought is that, as a general statement, Black kids tend to have poorer access to decent computers and thus may be more greatly shortchanged by virtual education. I guess that means that virtual learning is White supremacy and in-person learning is White supremacy. Lind of a 'heads I win/tails you lose'.

I know it's asking too much from dems, but just a little thought of "tomorrow" instead of "right now" would stop most of these idiotic hare-brained ideas in their tracks.
Stopping the dems agenda is a version of "abortion" I could support whole-heartedly!!!:Rolleyes:Rolleyes:Rolleyes
