This thread reminds me of a discussion I had with a pastor. The pastor asked me where I stood. I told him my theology does not come from a systematic theology book but from the study of scripture. Scripture is my standard, not what a man wrote about scripture. He told me he was reformed. I asked him if he had taken church history in seminary. He told me he hadn't. I told him the reason why I am not reformed is because the early reformers were baby baptizers. He told me he doesn't baptize babies. However he has associated with theologians and pastors from denominations who baptize babies.
