    Non Baptist Christian
SBG once again blames God for mans sin.
He then proclaims that God needs to do as SBG feels he should in order to be fair and kind .
That is why no communication is taking place

are you saying that ALL the "non elect" are haters of God? Really? ask you neighbour who does not believe. I know a few people who are not born again, yet are NOT opposed to God or the Gospel.

Define Romans 1:18-32, Romans 2:1-11, Romans 3:10-18 and then look at Romans 5:8.

It's talking about and to believers...
those who have come to love the Lord.

For His grace and mercy towards them.
Because He first loved them ( 1 John 4:19 ).
    Really.
And so were His children, before He changed them from the inside.

That is what God says...I'm only repeating His words, SBG.

If I may ask, why do you reject them, since you claim to be saved by grace?
Can you not see what His grace is?

We love Christ because He saved us from disaster, my friend.
It is no more complicated than that.;)

God is talking to the chosen people of Israel. They have a covenant with God, made at Mt Sinai, whereby God gives them laws and they agree to follow these laws.
Joshua is asking Israel if they wish to follow this covenant of laws or follow a different path. They (Israel) declare that they will follow the law. Joshua proceeds to tell them that they cannot and will not keep the law, even though they declare they will. In saying they choose God and His law, the people of Israel stand condemned under the law.

So, unless you intend to save yourself under the law, I suggest you don't reference Joshua 29 as a passage for salvation.

Acts 10:35 is? No, this is NOT about believers. Anyhow, we are getting away from the OP.

    @SavedByGrace :

Time for me to exit this thread.
As much as I'd like to continue this, we really have been through much of this to a great extent.
We disagree, and that is where it will stand unless God changes it.

I'm sorry, sir, but the contents of Romans 1, Romans 2 and Romans 3 are, for the most part, where I get the answers to our heart condition before God.
The Psalms, Proverbs and certain places in the "Gospels" ( Matthew, Mark, Luke and John ) are as well.
God's salvation starts there and it's not an invitation in the sense of us being willing to accept it...

    In addition,
To me, you simply won't accept that God decides to save some and not others ( Romans 9, Romans 11 ), and that it is His choice ( Ephesians 1:4-5, 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14, Psalms 65:4 ), not ours, that saves us.

I wish you well, as always,
and may He bless you in many ways, my friend.

I did answer the passage actually. But what I am not willing to do is take words, verses and passages out of context and ignore the rest of Scripture in order to see your position.

"we" and "us" refer to the elect, chosen by God.

Indeed, as Paul had in mind here the redeemed only, and not all humanity!

means to "oppose" God and what He and His Word says. But, I again say, that this is NOT true of ALL the unsaved.

which basically means, that you cannot answer what Peter says in Acts 10:34-35. Fair enough.

No, more that he can answer it as should be, but not as you want it to be!
