This is just another example of the Cancel and/or the Woke Culture(s) that have come to surface in these past few years. What bothers me is not only have the fake news media (TV, Radio, Social Web pages & the Print media) have latched onto this and have turned just about every we see, hear or read a sounding board for their propaganda. What troubles me is that a large segment of our society (and I would include some parts of "professing but not possessing" Christianity) have also latched on to their diatribes. Even our sports teams are not exempt EX: Now the NFL Washington Red Skins and the Cleveland Indians must change their names. I guess the Animal Rights crowd will sue the Detroit Lions and Tigers soon. And the WHITE HOUSE will more than likely cower to them too. What's next? Will the Martians say that we can't call our dollar bills GREEN Backs? Or maybe the Greek & Roman gods will come to life and cause us to rename the planets and our days of the week + our months?? With all the real crises we have, will we have to form an Acceptable Name Dept.? And who would we find for its Secretary? A transgendered multi-ethnic dude who's fluent in EVERY dialect on earth?? The world is made up of two kinds of people, the persuaders and the compellers.

My way or the highway folks believe in compulsion. They are the book burners, those that shun light outside their own. Those who use intimidation to enslave fellow humans. Those that do not treat others the way they treat themselves. They close cafes then go to a cafe. They close hair parlors then go to a hair parlor.

At the core, they are prideful and think of themselves as special.

 

Yes van! .....And, let's see....Who was it who persuaded our parents Adam & Eve the fastest way to gain "wisdom"? I'm not one of those snake handlers you read about, but I sure would have liked to give THAT snake an invitation to, as P.T. Barnum had, THE EGRESS!!!

 

Sadly that is what you call cancel culture. And that they want to take the fun out of everything or get rid of history there sadly. Need to realize everything as bad as it was back then is that of history. Maybe to live and learn and not ever repeat the mistake or sin that happened during those times. It is about living and learning.

 

Yessir! God's word tells us to learn from those who've preceded us: Their shortcomings as well as their successes. If it were up to me (Praise God that it isn't!!) there are some whose culture I'd cancel too! Any BB folks willing to join me on this?

 

"Half-breed" is probably out, too. But we still have "tramps and thieves," don't we?
