    Leadership in our local church had no issues with complying with state regulations, even though we thought it somewhat overly restrictive, as they were applied equally to all indoor gatherings. In some states/cities, the restrictions on churches have been significantly greater than on most other indoor gatherings. We were blessed in not having to make a compliance decision in such a situation.

    The judge made the right call to say that the pastor’s charter rights were not violated. There is nothing in scripture that says we can’t meet online or socially distanced in line with public health orders as millions of Christians around the world obedient to Romans 13 are able to do.

    I hope these Christians will turn back to scripture and away from the political misinformation they get from mostly international sources outside of Canada.

    GD, please keep in mind my home church in San Francisco, CA, has only now resumed in-person services. For 14 months, we met for Sunday AM and Wednesday night live stream services via Vimeo. We also used zoom for a Tuesday night drop-in fellowship.

    And your church is a good example for these Christians who are having trouble being obedient to scripture in this regard. If you are trying to admonish these churches then I agree with you. But somehow I don’t think that is the case.

    Metro San Francisco is fairly well wired. And our membership is also fairly computer literate. That is not true of other locales. Also, we let John MacArthur and his congregation take the lead in the legal fight. Which, IIRC they won.
    Another factor is the second clause of the First Amendment;
    Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.​

    Wow. The level of suppression they describe of bona fide concern in the scientific community is jarring, or as one MD puts it, "unprecedented."

    With the health of generations at stake and virtually their entire government not caring? Would they so willingly turn everyone into "Thalidomide babies," or worse? Cuomo types seem to abound.
