    First, let me say I AM NOT A "BRITISH ISRAELITE", nor do I subscribe to any of their racist garbage. And also, I don't subscribe to the late Herbert Armstrong's wacky theories.

    That being said, let's look at the evidence of what became of Israel's tribes of Joseph, Ephraim & Manasseh.

    In Genesis 35:11, God had told Jacob that his posterity would become "a nation and a company of nations". And in Genesis 49, as Jacob lay dying, he blessed each of his sons. When Joseph brought his sons by Potiphar's daughter, Jacob, at God's direction, gave the greater blessing to Ephraim, the younger, while passing the birthright to Joseph & then those 2 boys, saying all other children born to Joseph would inherit from Joseph - and he adopted Ephraim & Manasseh as his own, same as Reuben, etc. saying "LET MY NAME BE NAMED ON THEM." And he said Ephraim would become a company of nations. (During those prophecies, he said Judah would be the father of the rulers of Israel til Shiloh, Jesus, came, but the BIRTHRIGHT WAS JOSEPH'S.)

    Now, while the birthright, conceived by God, had passed from Abraham to Isaac to Jacob to Joseph, it had not been MANIFESTED in any of them. It promised great material wealth & power, but each of those early fathers was already wealthy by other means, especially Joseph, who was Grand Vizier of Egypt. And it was not manifested in ancient Israel, which remained a minor nation throughout its existence.

    But God's words are always 100% right, so the birthright MUST be manifested in this world to fulfill God's prophecy. So, where was it manifested, or will be manifested before Jesus returns?

    Let's look at the world's largest empires. Right now, the world's largest nation is still Russia. The old Soviet Union dominated some 15.31 % of the world's land However, it was not as large as the Mongol Empire of the Khans, which ruled some 16.11 % of the world's land. But this large empire was dwarfed by the BRITISH EMPIRE, which, at its height, ruled some 23.84 % of the world's land, and together with the USA, controlled some 80% of all the world's resources! This is NOT guesswork; you can see the facts for yourselves online or in any good encyclopedia.

    Now, just HOW did a small nation, occupying half an island, a nation slightly smaller than our state of Alabama, become master of the greatest empire of all time up til now? It could only have been through DIVINE POWER. Same for the thirteen American colonies throwing off the yoke of the world's strongest empire in 1776 & holding off that empire in 1812-14. I believe it's quite-obvious that GOD'S HAND was instrumental in forming the British Empire & the USA.

    Is it just coincidental that mostly BRITISH people formed the USA? Or that they use the same language? That they fought together in the two greatest wars in history? I don't believe so.

    And, is it also coincidental that Britain & the USA have played such important roles in the history of modern Israel, & the Jews in general before Israel was formed? Again, I don't believe so.

    In Deut. 33, Moses, guided by God, prophesied these blessings upon Joseph: "13 About Joseph he said:

    “May the Lord bless his land
    with the precious dew from heaven above
    and with the deep waters that lie below;
    14
    with the best the sun brings forth
    and the finest the moon can yield;
    15
    with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains
    and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills;
    16
    with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness
    and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush.
    Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,
    on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
    17
    In majesty he is like a firstborn bull;
    his horns are the horns of a wild ox.
    With them he will gore the nations,
    even those at the ends of the earth.
    Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim;
    such are the thousands of Manasseh.”

    God promised vast material wealth and great military power upon both tribes. This was NOT manifested in ancient Israel, but it MUST occur, as God's word is always 100% true!

    Now, I'm not saying this is set in stone, of course, but the best candidates to be the descendants of Joseph are Britain & the USA, given their history. As for all the other people who arr part of these nations, we see that in the history of ancient Israel, there were other peoples living among them from the gitgo, who were treated as Israelis. These include Egyptians who left Egypt with Israel, their relatives the Kenites, some Ethiopians (Moses had an Ethiopian wife), the Gibeonites, later, some Jebusites & other assorted Canaanites, to name a few.

    I remain open, of course, to consider any other candidates to be the descendants of Joseph, long as there's sound Scriptural and historical evidence, but right now I'm leaning toward Britain & the USA.

    Yes. They are part of the nations that come under the reign of Jesus as His Kingdom spreads worldwide.

    Baptist Believer asked me why I believe that Israel (all 12 tribes) will be a great nation. I believe the first parts of Gen. 17 answer that.

    As for 2 Samuel 7:10, the verse implies that Israel will still have enemies, only they won't oppress Israel. it doesn't say Israel won't have enemies. And in the millenium, Jesus will rule from Jerusalem, as we see "the sacred city" mentioned, while in Samuel, God says He WILL APPOINT a place. He had already appointed the "Promised Land" for israel, so this new place must be somewhere else til the final gathering of Israel to the PL.

    I true Jew is not one who is outwardly but one who is inwardly... That's not my opinion lets get some scripture on that!... Brother Glen:)

    Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

    2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

    Btw... Those Jews in Jesus Kingdom are not there by Race, but by Grace!

    Prophecy was fulfilled when Abraham's promised Seed FINISHED his saving work and opened the Gospel to all nations on earth, Israelites included.

    Only PART of what God promised Abe & later, Jake. You completely ignore God's prophecies thru Jacob for his sons, as well as the "nation & company of nations" prophecy to Abraham.

    But Paul reminded his readership that he was a racial Jew himself, and that if God grafted gentile "branches" onto His "tree", how much more-readily He would graft the native branches back on.

    There's still PHYSICAL Israel as well as SPIRITUAL Israel. And God made certain promises to physical Israel as well as spiritual Israel.

    And don't forget that God promised David several times that David would ALWAYS have descendants ruling over Israelis FOREVER. We know Jesus will some day occupy that throne forever after, but he hasn't yet returned to take over that throne. He's still the nobleman of His own parable who went on a long journey to RECEIVE HIS KINGDOM. He hasn't yet returned from that journey. But God told David he'd never lack a descendant who would rule over at least some Israelis, re-iterating that promise in Jeremiah 33, mentioning plural RULERS. So, somewhere on earth, there's at least one descendant of David's ruling over at least some Israelis. That will be the throne(rulership) Jesus shall occupy.

    43 So Jehovah gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
    44 And Jehovah gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; Jehovah delivered all their enemies into their hand.
    45 There failed not aught of any good thing which Jehovah had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass. Josh 21

    And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which Jehovah your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, not one thing hath failed thereof. Josh 23:14

    Blessed be Jehovah, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by Moses his servant. 1 Ki 8:56

    For how many soever be the promises of God, in him is the yea: wherefore also through him is the Amen, unto the glory of God through us. 2 Cor 1:20

    However, Israel did not go on to become a great nation. First, they quit conquering the Promised land, then, they began worshipping idols. o God permitted them to be conquered til they returned to Him & He raised up a leader to lead them to victory over the enemy. This happened several times.

    Ancient israel reached its zenith under David & remained there under Solomon.After that, it was largely downhill. But at its zenith, Israel was still a small but fairly-prosperous nation, certainly not a world power such as Egypt was.

    And the prophecies about each of Jacob's sons didn't then come to pass, either, especially those about Ephraim & Manasseh. And neither did that of 2 Samuel 7:10.

    Are The British Empire & The USA in prophecy?... NO!... But We Are!... The Lord promised someday that he is going to raise his sons and daughters from the dead and take them to Heaven to be with him... You mean you didn't get the memos?... Okay here they are again!... Brother Glen:)

    1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

    4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

    4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

    4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

    1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

    15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

    15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

    15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

    15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

    Relative to this post #8 what is your understanding of Ezek 37:15-28?

    Where were the people of the House of Judah when this was said, "And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.? Who were they known as wherever they were? Were they acknowledgers of the Lord's sabbath?

    Where were the people of the House of Israel when this was said, "And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.? Who were they known as wherever they were? Were they acknowledgers of the Lord's sabbath?

    Hosea 8:8 Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
    Hosea 8:12 I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.
    Hosea 2:11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

    Hers in lieu of whose? What are the odds she also quit circumcising her sons?

    Ezek 36:18-24
    And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land. But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

    And this hasn't yet happened.
    The 10 tribes lost their national identity; they didn't go extinct. They simply don't know who they are now. But GOD knows.

    God made sure the Jews neither lost their ID nor were exterminated. But He punished them much-more-severely than He did the rest of Israel, which has led a rather mundane existence in whatever nations they now call themselves.

    And meanwhile, God has bestowed the birthright promise upon Joseph as He promised. Meanwhile, at least one descendant of David's is ruling over Israelis somewhere on earth, as God promised David would happen.

    The fundamental question is - Did Jesus fulfil prophecy regarding Israel/Judah by his FINISHED work?

    The disciples on the Emmaus road expressed their disappointment - "but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel." (Luke 24:21) Note Jesus' reply to them and then to the Apostles -
    44 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”

    Acts records that many thousands of Israelites/Jews did believe their Messiah and formed the church. Soon Gentiles were added without circumcision. It is wrong therefore to think of the Jews being rejected by God for their unbelief for 50 generations or 2,000 years. Only the generation that rejected Jesus during his earthly ministry, and then rejected the Gospel suffered - in AD 70.

    Note specific prophecy concerning unbelieving Israel -
    Malachi 4:4 “Remember the Law of Moses, My servant,
    Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel,
    With the statutes and judgments.
    5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
    Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
    6 And he will turn
    The hearts of the fathers to the children,
    And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
    Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
    Many thousands did believe John - but the Jewish leaders refused to acknowledge him when Jesus challenged them.

    Matthew 24:34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
    God's judgment was limited to the generation that rejected Jesus. AD 70.

    Mat. 21:43 “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.
    Note God's promise to Moses in Exodus 19:5,6 concerning a "holy nation." And note the way Peter quotes the promise as applying to the believers. 1 Peter 2.

    Luke 11:49 Therefore the wisdom of God also said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,’ 50 that the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world may be required of this generation, 51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah who perished between the altar and the temple. Yes, I say to you, it shall be required of this generation.
    "This generation" again.

    Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23 And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
    There would not be a continuation of unbelieving Israel after their final rejection of Jesus and the Gospel.

    Acts 3:24 Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days. 25 You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ 26 To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”
    "All the prophets." The attempt to claim unfulfilled prophecy applying to some future carnal nation of Israel is a denial of the fulfilment of prophecy by the LORD Jesus Christ.

    But there was a long gap between Dave & Jesus, and a descendant of David's was ruling over israelis some place in that gap, at all times.

    And Jesus did NOT take over Dave's throne at that time. He became the nobleman of His parable who went on a journey to RECEIVE HIS KINGDOM. When He returns, He will be King & will take over an EARTHLY THRONE, a rulership over Israelis of some kind-P. M, President, Premier, or royalty.

    And don't forget that, while all Jews are Israelis, not all Israelis are Jews. There's still the other tribes out there somewhere. remember, God said he'd make Judah & Israel one nation again. That hasn't yet occurred, of course.

    Meanwhile, 2 Samuel 7:10 and the birthright promise can't be ignored.

    Genesis 481 Now it came to pass after these things that Joseph was told, “Indeed your father is sick”; and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. 2 And Jacob was told, “Look, your son Joseph is coming to you”; and Israel strengthened himself and sat up on the bed. 3 Then Jacob said to Joseph: “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me, 4 and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people, and give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession.’ 5 And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. 6 Your offspring whom you beget after them shall be yours; they will be called by the name of their brothers in their inheritance. 7 But as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died beside me in the land of Canaan on the way, when there was but a little distance to go to Ephrath; and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).”

    8 Then Israel saw Joseph’s sons, and said, “Who are these?”

    9 Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place.

    And he said, “Please bring them to me, and I will bless them.” 10 Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. Then Joseph brought them near him, and he kissed them and embraced them. 11 And Israel said to Joseph, “I had not thought to see your face; but in fact, God has also shown me your offspring!”

    12 So Joseph brought them from beside his knees, and he bowed down with his face to the earth. 13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near him. 14 Then Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn. 15 And he blessed Joseph, and said:

    “God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked,
    The God who has fed me all my life long to this day,
    16 The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil,
    Bless the lads;
    Let my name be named upon them,
    And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac;
    And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

    17 Now when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him; so he took hold of his father’s hand to remove it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. 18 And Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this one is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head.”

    19 But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great; but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.”

    20 So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will bless, saying, ‘May God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh!’ ” And thus he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

    21 Then Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you and bring you back to the land of your fathers. 22 Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow.

    We see that Jacob passed his name, Israel, upon Ephraim & Manasseh, placing the firstborn, Manasseh, 2nd to Ephraim in his blessing for them, saying Ephraim would become a COMPANY OF NATIONS. (That was first promised by God to Abraham.) And he also said Manasseh would become A PEOPLE. That's significant, as his descendants were already Israelis, & that's all they were til the Assyrian conquest.

    These things are in your Bible, regardless of which version(s) you use. I didn't make them up, as you can see!
