    You NEED to watch this! It is spectacular! God just shows up at Chick-fil-A, a whole family gets saved, healed, and filled with the Spirit! Then the pastor follows them back to their house and water-baptizes them in their hot tub and they all speak in tongues! MY GOD! This is amazing! You took God's name in vain. Thus, I know whatever you say or link to is not amazing.

    Well, Revelation 22:18, warns, ". . . that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, . . ." With the understand it is the close of further revelations.

    Had he added a Revelation 23 I would agree with you.

    Had actual prophecy been spoken it would have been a greater work….

    I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, - 1 Corinthians 14:5

    There is a wonderful power that resides inside the Godly. However Paul warns…

    Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. - 2 Timothy 3:5

    I worked with a lady by the name of Nancy. Back in the 1990's her heart was only like 10% and they were expecting her to die. I myself had given up hope for her.

    And then... Months later... Nancy is back! After she had been back many months I asked her what happened. She said that there on her death bed a prayer team assembled, held hands, and prayed a healing prayer over her in the name of Jesus. Though that has been decades ago she is still alive today. I asked her, Nancy, was the prayer team Pentecostal? She said, no, Baptist!

    The Biblical speaking in tongues was God speaking, Acts of the Apostles 2:4, ". . . speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. " So to claim the Biblical speaking in tongues, tanslateted or not, is claiming God is speaking. I am of the understanding all spoken and written revelations given from God ceased with the prohibition of adding the hearing of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, Revelation 1:1, Revelation 22:18. Also 1 Corinthians 13:8-12.

    I shall relate a similar experience that I know of... A friend of mine who is a Primitive Baptist preacher was compel by the Lord awhile after he was ordained to leave the church he was ordained in, and grew up in and come to California... So he took his young family and settled in California... Not soon after he was settled, at a doctor visit, they informed her and him, who had two young girls, she had stage four cancer and the cancer had spread and to get her house in order she was going to die and there was no cure... All he and she could do was pray... They informed all their friends , church and otherwise to pray... Her next visit to the doctor ALL the cancer was gone and she has been cancer free for over 50 years... Now I don't know all the rituals and order they went through in prayer... As I heard a minister say along time ago, God does not look upon the body in prayer but the posture of the heart... And in relation to the video, to me Salvation is not a dog and pony show... God can save anyone, anytime and anywhere, when there is no one there!... And scripture reminds us when that happens we are suppose to do just like Jesus instructed the wild Gadarene... Brother Glen:)

    Mark 5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

    5:20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

    Luke 8:39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

    If someone was actually saved in the OP incident, I praise the Lord. However:

    1. Many Charismatics teach that you must speak in tongues to be saved. That is a false Gospel, and if the OP writer taught that, no one got saved.
    2. God's plan for this age is the local church. I saw no local church activity here. Instead, we have baptism in a hot tub.
    3. Tongues occurred right away. If it were Biblical tongues, others would have gotten saved as in Acts ch. 2
    4. I hope healing did occur, but most Charismatic healings are fake. I believe in healing in answer to prayer, but it must glorify God. The Charismatics stole members from my work in Yokohama, and later one of them prayed to "cast out the demon of the cold." The cold remained. :rolleyes:

    My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, - Galatians 4:19

    The best evidence of whether Christ truly showed up is in the everyday conduct.

    Why don't you explain your accusation so everybody can understand your state of mind?

    He believes what was recorded on the video and shared it.

    Taking the name of God in vain? I don't think you understand what that commandment even means.

    But do us all a favor and enlighten us, would you John of Japan?

    I know, and that's what has me so very concerned.
    I see that in several parts of the video, none of them are even speaking in an actual language when they are "speaking in tongues".

    I know and speak some ( very little ) Spanish, not much more in the way of French, and of course English which is my native one;
    and being familiar, by ear, with hearing ( and being able to identify ) Nepali, Arabic, Russian, Japanese, Mandarin, German, Italian, Hebrew, and some bits and pieces of others from media and live interactions, I cannot make any of it out as an actual language.

    That said,
    Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 14 that if believers speak in tongues, they should do so with an interpreter for the edification of all...
    and that if one is not available, to speak to one's self alone.

    What they are "speaking", to my ear, sounds somewhat similar to Arabic or even Farsi...
    and the ones speaking are all repeating themsleves rapidly ( as if coached to do so or in imitation of what they think tongues speaking should sound like ) using the same phrases over and over ( similar to the cadence of Islamic prayer ), which to me, is not an indication of the presence of the Spirit in someone...

    Who does everything decently and in order and not how it is seen in the video.

    Another thing that I noticed...
    No preaching of the word of God anywhere in the video, which is what the Bible describes as needing to occur for Him to get a hold of anyone's heart and mind with the Gospel ( see Romans 10:8-17, 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 ).

    In my experience,
    Nothing sobered me more than to hear the preaching of the cross from the Bible, composed of God's very words, and to realize my need of a Saviour;
    To believe on Christ and His work for me on the cross, and to know repentance for the first time in my short 12 year old life in 1978.

    In my estimation, these are not biblical conversions;
    They are full of Charismatic-style excitement and little else.

    Even worse,
    I see elements of meditation therapy and transcendentalism that are prevalent in religions and disciplines such as Hinduism and yoga, and not the behavior of born again believers who are aware of who God is through the belief of His words and what He has saved them from...His eternal wrath.
    In other words, I see nothing here in this video that would indicate that any of these people experienced a true belief of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, baptism or no.

    What I see is a group of people going along with what they think are spiritual things, and are excited about it all.:(

    I once believed a lot of things as well;
    Things that I no longer do, by God's grace, after 43+ years of knowing the Lord.

    One of them is that people "get saved" by following along with what a preacher tells them to do and calling upon the precious name of Jesus excitedly and breathlessly over and over again, laughing as they do so.

    For me, it has always been one of reverence and quietness,
    knowing that my Father in Heaven is indeed listening to me and cares about my situation and my requests.
    Taking God's name in vain is to invoke His Holy name for nothing more than either a curse word, or as an exclamation of surprise.

    We as Christians should not allow ourselves ( though we often do ) to slip into that practice, my friend.
    His blessed name really demands much more care in how we invoke it.

    No he did not, and I'm not interested in your thoughts.

    Is he not able to speak for himself? Then allow him to.

    Respectfully, I can see that.

    Yet, this is a forum;
    and when people make posts, others who see them have the prerogative to answer them regardless of whether or not the person who originally made the post, actually want them to contribute their thoughts.

    In other words, they have the same right to express their opinions as you do.
    Yes he is.
    I am allowing him to and I am in no way answering things for him.
    But again, this is a forum... and the purpose of a forum is to see, read, and ( if a person decides to ) reply to other people's thoughts about a matter, as well.

    Lastly,
    In a way I'm answering the OP directly ( who seems to believe that God's work through the Holy Spirit was being done in this video ),
    and all I saw was what appeared to be something similar to what one might find on one of the popular Christian television networks...where people "get saved" by a "1,2,3 repeat after me" formula ( and it didn't even get that far, IMO ) that doesn't involve the most important component of presenting the Gospel...the preaching of God's word.
    According to what I see in the Scriptures in Acts 2, Acts 13, Acts 16, Acts 17 and many other places, that is not how it works; Not even close.

    In the end, if you disagree, then you disagree and we can still be civil to each other despite all of that, can we not?
    I hope so.

    I wish you well and God's blessings upon you.
