here we go, going to hear the challenge to RvW this December 1st.

they (Kav, ACB, Gorsuch, Alito, Thomas) may vote to overturn. It's past time.

Don’t get your hopes up. SCOTUS relies heavily on precedence and RVW has been law of the land for 40 years.

Even if they overturned it, the laws on abortion would go to the states, and many have already passed very liberal laws.

The only chance to limit abortion, imo, is a constitutional amendment protecting unborn children by recognizing them as human beings in the womb.

    peace to you

the right to life amendment? That idea has been bandied about for decades, and it has gone absolutely nowhere.

This MS challenge's core is that their state law violates RvW, because it restricts abortion before viability. I'm glad to see SCOTUS takes this case up because there really hasn't been a ruling on Roe for over twenty five years.

I want to see how the noob judges rule, can't be any worse than their predecessors.

I’m not in doubt that abortion can come to an end in this country. The SC finding it not constitutional would go a long way to end support for it even in Blue states.

There is a strong movement for a convention of states which I believe will happen at some point. In that it would come to an end.

But if it is - then it goes back to the States/Commonwealths
But at least it is a start.

It might get a hole poked in it, but I highly doubt overturned.

Don't be so sure about Gorsuch. He attends an ultra liberal Episcopal Church who has a priest staunchly pro-choice as is the congregation and denomination. He is an active member and has been fairly quiet on the subject.

The main point is that the COTUS does not mention abortion -
thus abortion should properly be a State/Commonwealth issue.
