    I as well. He was often a voice of reason in an unreasonable environment, and he was a professed Christian. His struggle with cancer is over, RIP.

    On a temporary policy level I wasn't a fan, but he has an eternal soul the same as anyone else.

    I pray he knew the Lord prior to his passing, and I hope it was without much pain.

    Yes, General Powell was a patriot, and did his best. I disagreed with some of his decisions, such as his voting for Mr. Obama. And Mr. Bush hung him out with the stockpile story...
    All in all, we have lost someone who defended us with his life.

    yeah. guess his immune system was compromised after all that chemo. Like him or not, he did serve this country honorably and left an impact on the world. RIP.
